UPDATE: My so-called Republican-Conservative Congressman Michael Grimm reversed his prior position on the "Fiscal Cliff" --- In spite of his repeated statements to the contrary, when things got tough, Grimm voted to to save Obama and the Democrats from this week’s “Fiscal Cliff” --- Grimm has earned a Tea Party Primary in 2014 for this vote alone, but what comes next from my Slinky-Spined Congressman on future spending, taxing and debt-increasing votes?

Grimm has voted to give Barack Obama something the Democrat President and more than 98% of his Democrat colleagues desperately wanted and NEEDED ---  and together with the Democrats, GRIMM  MADE  PERMANENT A NEW CURRENT  INCREASE IN FEDERAL SPENDING AND DEBT

IN SPITE OF THE SPIN, GRIMM CHOOSES TO GIVE UP THE FIG LEAF OF FISCAL CONSERVATISM AND TO STAND NAKED AS A "TAX AND SPENDER"  —  THEN GRIMM ADMITS  TO HIS FAILURE AND PROMISES TO DO BETTER NEXT TIME  —  ALTHOUGH HE KNOWS FULL-WELL EVEN MORE DEFICIT SPENDING IS COMING

Grimm’s statement about his vote was like something  OUT OF THIS WORLD that Scott Clark of ABC Sports would have waxed poetic about just a couple of years ago  —  “ SPIN ! SPIN ! SPIN !  You two-tongued Grimmster and closet hipster, you Boehner-hugging mister and phony fiscer ...”

Here’s Grimm in the words of his own website: “I do have serious concerns that this package does not contain the necessary spending cuts to reduce our nation’s massive debt; however, with Senate Democrats refusing to take up any amended bill, the debate could drag on indefinitely – imposing a tax-hike on America’s middle class, pushing us over the ‘milk cliff’ and delaying the passage of other key provisions like the doc-fix and unemployment insurance.  The reality is that we are out of time, and it would be irresponsible to continue to play politics with the lives of the American people or put our financial markets at risk by failing to act. ***  This is not the compromise I would have chosen – nor one that I intended to support - but after taking a closer read,  the benefits do outweigh the costs as we move to protect the hard-working people of Staten Island and Brooklyn from a massive tax hike and further blow to their budgets. ***  As we begin the next Congress, I promise to continue the fight for spending cuts and responsible fiscal policies that put an end to our nation’s spending addiction and get our economy back on track.”

Votes like this one show that we just don’t need “Republicans” and “Conservative Party-endorsed-candidates” like Michael Grimm; what’s more we don’t need those parties either.

Some might suggest one large Democrat Party would work much better – just like they have in the single-party dictatorships around the world. On the other hand, a new party that is true to conservative principals, public and personal morality and genuine patriotism might get a little support. It’s worth a try.

Until then Grimm needs to be primaried to death.

Michael Grimm got nothing for selling-out to his party's leadership team on fiscal responsibility. Bing-bam-boom with the passage of the "Fiscal Cliff" bill, Boehner finally adjourned the 112th Congress. But guess what, the most important bill to Grimm and Grimm's constituents, the Sandy Disaster Relief Bill, which passed by the U.S. Senate in mid-December, wound up one of the 112th Congress's biggest items of unfinished business -- it was pulled without a vote.

Once that had dawned on the Staten Island Congressman, an embarrassed Grimm, in a snit, started attacking Republicans and making nice with the likes of Charley Rangel.

Thanks to the New York area Democrats, the Disaster Relief Bill was split into two parts, and the immediately needed $9 Billion will be voted on next Friday, with the vote/debate on the remaining funding scheduled for the following Friday.

Lets see if the money ever comes through to build sewars in Staten Island. Grimm faced a weak opponent last time and result was 53% to 47%. Chris Christie is eating crow but he eats everything.

Republicans are shooting each other in the foot over both the fiscal cliff and disaster relief bills. Grimm, King and Christie are attacking Republicans for trying to cut out tons of pork put into the senate's disaster bill by Schumer and company.

Last night all Greta Van Susterin's show talked about was all the stuff in the "Sandy" bill not connected to the "victims" of the hurricane or going to New York and New Jersey and other places hit by the hurricane. Now because of Grimm and King and Christie lining up with Democrats against the Republicnas, most of it will stay in the bill
