What's wrong with this picture ?

Could it be that  >>>  all of the people shown in this picture are defrauding the people of the State of New York  ---  BIG TIME  ---  by being treated to all the rights and privileges as a Member of the NYS Assembly, or by being paid to be on the staff of somebody that does not belong in the New York State Assembly at all ???

As part of this pile of baggage are at least four broken valises  ---  at least three of whom are visible over-eating grass-eaters  ---  and the one that "... hate[s] fuckin' Brooklyn..." is definitely a double-dipping grass-eater after his many years "on the job"

We already have a lot of stuff on most of this gang of grifters and liars  ---  but not so much for those newly on the game, but comfortably working along side the rest of them.  Nonetheless, we have been assured that more will be coming out soon enough.....

Only Fox News and the NY Post --- among the many woke others in the MSM --- point out that police reforms and relaxed standards in Memphis after things like the "Ferguson" and "George Floyd" indicents elsewhere possibly contibuted to the bad policing leading to the death of Tyre Nichols

Faced with severe shortfalls in police recruiting, the City of Memphis, Tennessee greatly relaxed its recruiting standards  >>>  including specifically two of the five officers involved in the death of Tyre Nichols following an out of control police action in Memphis earlier this month

Only the NY Post and the Fox News outlets have pushed back on a rather outlandish narrative by "woke" extremist leftists aided by the "woke" progressive MSM that have posited  >>>  the killing of a black man at the hands of five black cops in Memphis was the result of white racism, and a culture of white supremacy  ---  even though at the present time, the City of Memphis is 65% black, and the Memphis PD is 60% black

According to one Post commentator earlier today  ---  "Racism didn’t kill Tyre Nichols – moronic, poorly trained cops did..."

According to the NY Post, suspended police officers,Tadarrius Bean and Demetrius Haley, since charged with murder along with three other Memphis police officers,  both joined the Memphis Police Department in August of 2020, more than two years after the Memhis Police Department had substantially lowered the educational standardspreviously in place to become an office in that city.

Before Demetrius Haley joined the Memphis Police Department in August 2020, he had been employed as a corrections officer for the Shelby County Corrections Department. And in a 2016 lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court for Western Tennessee, Haley was accused of taking part in the beating of an inmate about eight years ago.

On the other hand, From 2016 through 2020, Tadarius Bean studied criminal justice and law enforcement at the University of Mississippi and did an internship with the campus police department, according to his profile. According to the Ole Miss 2020 commencement list, Bean was described as graduating with a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice.

Officer Emmitt Martin was hired by the Memphis Police Department in March of 2018 and went to Bethel University, a Christian college in McKenzie, Tenn.

Officer Desmond Mills was hired by the Memphis Police Department in March of 2017. At that time he listed his hometown as Hartford, Connecticut, but he also attended college and played football at West Virginia State University.

Officer Justin Smith was hired by the Memphis Police Department in March of 2018.

In addition to that, the Post had reported that  >>>  despite her history as a careless investigator, the current Memphis police chief, who is still technically in charge of investigating the killing of Tyre Nichols previously had been let go from her prior job as a Deputy Chief in Atlanta.  Memphis PD Chief Cerelyn "CJ" Davis became the first black female chief in Memphis in 2021, during the year after George Floyd was killed at the hands of Minneapolis police officers.

Piers Morgan's next NY Post column  [posted on-line earlier today] indicated the following:

In the City of Memphis where all of this took place, nearly 60% of the entire Memphis police force is black, as is 65% of the population;  what provoked this killing of Tyre Nichols wasn’t about his skin color, it had to do with something else  ---  and it certainly was the result of poorly trained police officers abusing their positions of power and authotity; and if this really had been was about anti-black racism, the images and circumstances would have triggered riots, assorted mayhem, and even burning cities following what the five Memphis police officers had done.

House Minority Leader and Brooklyn Dem Hakeem Jeffries says Ilhan Omar belongs on Foreign Affairs Committee --- even though she didn't know some of what she said were verbal attacks on Israel and intensely anti-Semitic

Omar says  ---  "....  To insinuate that I knowingly said these things when people have read into my comments to make it sound as if I have something against the Jewish community is so wrong....”

House Minority Leader. Brooklyn Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, the Steering and Policy Committee for House Democrats, and the House Democratic Caucus as a whole have put forward Rep. Ilhan Omar among the Democrats’ selections for seats on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, a Friday news release revealed.

This move defies threats from House Speaker Kevin McCarthy to pursue his plan to prevent Omar’s continued service on that standing House Committee. To accomplish that aim, McCarthy would need to hold a vote in the full House, not unlike what the House did when it removed Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene from committees during the past Congress during Democrat control.  At this time, it is far from a sure thing that Speaker McCarthy would have enough votes on his side to purge Congresswoman Omar; so, only time will tell.

For her part, Representative Ilhan Omar  (D-MN) said Sunday that she was unaware that various statements about Jewish people and money would or should be considered anti-semitic.

On the Sunday cable show “State of the Union,” CNN's anchor Dana Bash confronted Repsentative Ilhan Omar with this  >>>  “What Republicans are saying about you is that there is a pattern of antisemitic and other controversial statements that make you unfit to sit on, in your case, the House Foreign Affairs Committee. I’m told that Republicans presented a list in their meeting, in their private meeting this past week. Included in that list, you said that Israel hypnotized the world. You said Israel is an apartheid regime. You said that politicians with pro-Israel stances were all about the Benjamins, which you very notably apologized for, that you support the BDS movement, which a lot of people think is rooted in anti-semitism, compared the U.S. and Israel to Hamas and the Taliban. I want to give you a chance to respond to all of that.”

Congresswoman Omar responded with this  >>>   “I might have used words at [that] time that I didn’t [know] were trafficking in anti-semitism. When that was brought to my attention, I apologized. I owned up to it. That’s the kind of person that I am. I continue to work with my colleagues and my community to fight against anti-semitism....   “I certainly did not or was not aware that the word hypnotized was a trope. I wasn’t aware of the fact that there are tropes about Jews and money. That has been very enlightening part of this journey. To insinuate that I knowingly said these things when people have read into my comments to make it sound as if I have something against the Jewish community is so wrong.”

Could it be that the 2024 Democrat and Republican nominees for President already are going head to head about whether to teach "Queer Black History" ???

In a letter to David Coleman, CEO of the "College Board," Illinois Democrat Governor J.B. Pritzker called for AP courses that would teach “black queer American” history in response to Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis rejecting AP classes about black Americans containing those and certain other elements

During a press conference this past Monday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis had stated that Florida wanted “education, not indoctrination”  ---   “[In t]his course on Black history, what’s one of the lessons about? Queer theory -- that is somebody pushing an agenda on our kids....”

According to multiple reports,  the State of Florida earlier had rejected a high school Advance Placement course for African American studies. A letter earlier this month from the Florida Department of Education’s Office of Articulation informed the College Board that its approved AP course on "Black History" was “inexplicably contrary to Florida law and significantly lacks educational value....  In the future, should College Board be willing to come back to the table with lawful, historically accurate content, FDOE will always be willing to reopen the discussion....”   In addition, a spokesperson for Florida's Governor Ron DeSantis indicated that the course “... leaves large, ambiguous gaps that can be filled with additional ideological material, which we will not allow...”

In response, Democrat Gov. J.B. Pritzker of Illinois wrote this to the College Board's  CEO David Coleman:   “I am writing to you today to urge the College Board to preserve the fundamental right to an education that does not follow the political grandstanding of Governor DeSantis and the whims of Republicans in Florida....   I am extremely troubled by recent news reports that claim Governor DeSantis is pressuring the College Board to change the AP African American Studies course in order to fit Florida’s racist and homophobic laws. The  Illinois Democrat  added that he would expect that the AP courses given in his state would focus on African American studies which would “include a factual accounting of history, including the role played by black queer Americans.”

Both of these governors have been mentioned as possible candidates for their respective parties in the early going in advance of the 2024 election for POTUS.

Think about this for a few seconds --- does "Anna Belfiore-Delfaus for NYC City Council" make any sense --- AT ALL !!!

Here's somebody from Staten Island who said she wants to run for the NYC Council in Brooklyn.  ---  Does she seem like a serious candidate to you ???

She has no political credentials; she has no apparent skills, other than getting coffee and donuts for a few cops; she hasn't even shown any connection to the district in Brooklyn where she says she wants to run; and except for certain kinds of people that like this type, she don't even look that great

So what gives with this Anna Belfiore-Delfaus candidacy for Brooklyn's 47th Council District ?

Sure, she is eligible to run, and that's more than anybody can say with a straight face about Lester Chang.  However, is that a sufficient reason for Anna to run and try to get people to back her candidacy ???

She seems to have some political hooks with Inna Vernikov and Dov Hikind out in Manhattan Beach and Sheepshead Bay, and with Peter King from Long Island;  but that's about it.....  So far, there's no apparent support for her inside the GOP with the boundaries for the 47th Council District.

It's like somebody just said. "Go out and find us some cannoli-stuffer that can pull votes from Ragusa.

Is anybody prepared to tell us on this independent Republican blog for Brooklyn and Staten Island that any of this ain't true ?????

Monday, January 23, 2023

Mike Ragusa is digging a big hole for himself with his published statement attacking Ghorra, Fox and Kagan

Right now  ---  Ragusa's hole is big enough to see from space  ---  but he just keeps on digging.....

Satellite photo of Ragusa's hole

See our prior post on this independent GOP blog for Brooklyn and Staten Island for details and commentary about Mike Ragusa's Meta-FB published screed against the Brooklyn GOP - Ted Ghorra - Brian Fox -&- Ari Kagan.....

It's fair to ask --- has the pressure of this campaign for City Council made Mike Ragusa "a bit deranged" --- or would "completely deranged" be more accurate ???

Somebody that we all know might have posted this nifty little bit of good natured fun:

And Michael Ragusa responded with this:

"Michael Ragusa For City Council... Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 12:37 PM...

Things seem to be heating up a bit  ---  don't you think.....

For our part here at this independent GOP blog for Brooklyn and Staten Island, we think that the Ragusa statement is far more inflammatory and unhinged than anything done by some so called "Brooklyn GOP district leader..." who,
in an edgy posting, might have used an image and paraphrased some dialogue from a mainstream movie.

In addition, the statement by Michael Ragusa is full of factually inaccurate, offensive and derogatory references that distort the boundaries and the ethnic makeup of the area where Mr. Ragusa is trying to be politically relevant, the 47th Council District.

It wouldn't surprise us here if very soon Mr. Ragusa uses an image of Rocky Balboa fighting Apollo Creed  from the first "Rocky" movie along with some ersatz ethnocentric dialogue to drive home the points of his statement published above against the so called "Brooklyn GOP district leader."  That seems to be what the Ragusa brain trust thinks is the right way to push back on the broad disinterest and substantial resistance inside the Brooklyn GOP to the Ragusa campaign thus far.....

Still more..... people keep going to President Biden's private residence in Delaware and keep finding more and more little piles of classified documents, which apparently have been kept there insecurely for years

The Justice Department continued or resumed its search of President Joe Biden’s Wilmington home Friday, January 21st and found even more documents with classified markings, according to a statement by Biden’s personal attorney on Saturday

The latest cache included six more documents  ---  and  ---  the latest tranche of six documents, in addition to the prior piles of about 25 classified documents unearthed by Biden’s personal attorneys in past weeks at the Penn Biden Center and Biden’s residence, brings the new total of items of classified material to more than thirty pieces.....

The White House had previously claimed on January 14th that the search for all classified documents had been completed  ---  obviously, that formal statement was inaccurate

The content or nature of all the classifed materials improperly retained and held at various insecure locations since 2017 or earlier by then former Vice President Biden remains largely undisclosed

Joe Biden’s personal attorney, Bob Bauer, said yesterday that President Biden offered to allow the Justice Department to conduct the search at his Delaware home;  that the search began at approximately 9:45 AM, Friday, and concluded at around 10:30 PM, Friday. and that the search covered all working, living and storage spaces in the Biden household,. Biden's personal attorney stated that representatives of both the personal legal team and the White House Counsel’s Office had been present during Friday's search of the Biden premises.

The White House Counsel’s Office, issued a separate statement that “[n]either the President nor the First Lady were present during the (Friday) search. The President’s (personal) lawyers and White House Counsel’s Office will continue to cooperate with DOJ and the Special Counsel.”

According to the New York Times  >>>  the DOJ investigation of possible wrongdoing was reportedly widened sometime after  the DOJ, Biden’s personal attorneys and some White House Staff close to President Biden had earlier agreed to keep news of the whole classified documents discovery from the American people.

For many it's pretty much been decided that --- the City Council showdown in the 47th Counc. Dist. will be Kagan against Brannan

Justin Brannan & Ari Kagan

According to campaign finance filings  >>>  Brooklyn City Council Member Ari Kagan, who recently switched from the Democrat to the Republican Party, has raised less than $10,000 to date in his 2023 reelection bid; and that is a small fraction compared to the over $40,000 hauled in by his former Democrat colleague and current general election competitor Justin Brannan

As the most likely Republican nominee, based on broad support by key Republican leaders in Brooklyn and at the City Council,  Kagan remains undeterred in his quest to unseat his former partisan colleague Brannan.

Although Councilman Brannan has raised substantially more cash in the early going  ---   according to some observers, he has already spent a sizable portion of his campaign funds  ---  and that means Brannan and Kagan appear to have roughly the same amount of cash on hand  ---  and on that score, the race is pretty much even.....

On the GOP side of the fence, Michael Ragusa —  who some  consider the top competitor to Kagan in a Brooklyn GOP primary fight — has more than doubled Kagan’s fund raising effort, bringing in $19,375 in contributions to his campaign since last July  ---  but Ragusa apparently only has $1,044 left in the bank, having spent $18,331 of what he had raised.....

In a wide ranging interview that discussed fund raising and other matters, Ari Kagan emphasized that when it comes down to it, his decades of work in the community will propel his campaign forward  ---  “I have been serving communities of southern Brooklyn for over 30 years in different capacities.... I help people all the time, and people remember this. That’s the thing that will bring me to the finish line everywhere.” (See "City Council showdown: Kagan not deterred by early fundraising deficit in race against Brannan" by Ethan Stark-Miller, 1/21/2023, AM NY/ News    [https://www.amny.com/news/kagan-not-detered-by-early-fundraising-deficit-in-council-race-against-brannan/]).

There is only one message for Republicans and Conservatives in Brooklyn ---

Go  ---  take all all that you have and give it to the poor.....

That way they won't waste any of their time and energy having to take it from you.....

Everything in society and government is now fostering that result  ---  so, get with the program.....

It will soon be accomplished in all of New York City that there will only be two classes: on top, a small supervening and isolated controlling class, "the rich" (and possibly with certain chosen vassals called "professonals" ---  sterile and not self sustaining); and a majority in an underlying homogeneous "middle class", formerly known as "the Poor".....

Thursday, January 19, 2023

Maybe, Staten Islander Anna Belfiore-Delfaus thinks that she is running against Joe Biden --- or that her friend Peter King of Long Island is and she wants to be in his campaign.....

This is her latest foray into this "political" thing that she is trying on for size  ---  which might or might not involve her running for City Council against Justin Brannan in Bay RIdge and some other nabes in Brooklyn, because her messaging right now is so all over the lot that one cannot really tell what she is up to or why she is up to it.....

Yesterday  ---  Anna of the t-shirts on television and in the papers decided to re-post something that her patron from Long Island Peter King had to say about Joe Biden  >>>    Here it is as it appeared on her political Facebook feed  ---  see if you can tell what she is trying to do with all this:

"Anna Belfiore-Delfaus for NYC City Council...  Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 1:44 PM...

'...

Pete King...  Tuesday, January 17,2023 at 1:33 PM...  Joe Biden always seems to get it wrong.... Last year in 2022 there were 321 police officers shot and 64 killed - a 21% increase over 2921 [sic]. Yet Joe Biden refuses to recognize this war against cops....  Yesterday, in one of his Martin Luther King Day speeches, President Biden spoke of the urgency to “retrain” cops how not to shoot their weapons when attacked saying: “The fact is if you need to use your weapon, you don’t have to do that [use deadly force.]”...  Similarly during his campaign Biden said: “when there’s an unarmed person coming at them with a knife or something, shoot them in the leg instead of the heart.”...  Joe Biden doesn’t get it. Cops are not the problem They are the victims. He is the one who must be retrained!...  Stand with the Men and Women in Blue!...'."

Wow, without a doubt that was a real gotcha.....

But, whom was gotten  ---  and for/to what practical political purpose ?????

Tuesday, January 17, 2023

Why have the Brooklyn GOP and Conservative Party, or any of their 2022 candidates or 2023 aspirants NOT DENOUNCED the apparently politically motivated gun violence involving an unsuccessful GOP legislative candidate shooting at Democrats

Crime is crime, violent crime is violent crime, and politically motivated gun violence involving disgruntled office seekers is a particularly noxious and malignant crime

Just reported that  >>>  An unsuccessful 2022 GOP legislative candidate in New Mexico has been tied to the shootings at the homes of four Democrat officials since the 2022 election  ---  and the former GOP candidate has been charged

According to a Reuters featured article, an unsuccessful Republican state legislative candidate in New Mexico was arrested yesterday; and he has been accused of planning and facilitating several recent shootings at four local Democrat elected officials' homes.

The Reuters' reporting includes these key elements:  Albuquerque Police announced on Monday that they had arrested Solomon Pena, 39, and accused him of conspiring with, and paying, four other men to shoot at the homes of two county commissioners and two state legislators, all of them Democrats. In addition, Albuquerque Police claim that they have evidence that Pena himself fired some of the shots.

At a press conference, Albaquerque Police said that Pena had denied his recent election loss;  and that he had confronted the commissioners and lawmakers at their homes with claims that election fraud was involved. Also, the Albaquerque Police said more people would be charged in the shootings; and that some other suspects were in custody (See  "Republican candidate arrested in shootings of Democrats' homes in New Mexico" by David Shepardson, 1/17/2023, Reuters/ United States [https://www.reuters.com/world/us/republican-candidate-arrested-shootings-democrats-homes-new-mexico-2023-01-17/]).

.

Anna Belfiore-Delfaus shows that she thinks --- saying is the same as doing --- just like all of the other Brooklyn Republican candidates lately

A little while ago, Anna Belfiore-Delfaus re-posted this on her FB campaign space:

"Anna Belfiore-Delfaus for NYC City Council...   Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 9:33 AM...

'Thank you NYPD... Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 9:00 AM ...  Another day, another brazen criminal. All I hear is crickets though… politicians must be happy with the chaos...'."

NYC Council members, other elected officials, or candidates for any elected public offices are

>>> NOT <<<

tabloid news reporters doing "if it bleeds it leads" features

>>> OR <<<

ex officio NYPD or PBA public relations spokespersons

People like Anna Belfiore-Delfaus, Brian Fox, Vito LaBella, and Mike Ragusa seem to think that being a political person is nothing more than talking about stuff  [[[ lately, that means crime-crime-crime-crime-crime]]] ---  and  ---  that chatter [[[mostly about crime-crime-crime-crime-crime]]] is the same as action, process, follow-through, and the accomplishment of a clearly stated goal or purpose

What can anybody expect from such a flock of gabbling geese and damnable dabblers, who have no genuine political or civic accomplishments, or any semblance of seriousness in their political machinations ? ! ? ! ?

Biden uses MLK speech --- not to talk about MLK --- but to again threaten Americans with F-15s

Will anybody call out this grifter and buffoon, Joe Biden, for his completely inappropriate speech on this national celebration of Martin Luther King day  ???

The "Biden is President" joke is no longer humorous  ---  it is obnoxious and cancerous.....

Was Ragusa involved in doing an edit of the NY Post story about NY City Council candidates in order to avoid any Proud Boys connection ???

Yesterday we commented on this independent GOP blog for Brooklyn and Staten Island as follows ---

"RESPONSE: THE 'LET'S KEEP "FANTASYLAND" IN DISNEYWORLD AND DISNEYLAND'  EDITION...  TO: 'ANONYMOUS SAID AT 2:33 PM'...   WE DON'T KNOW WHO THESE TWO CHUCKLEHEADS --- JON LEVINE & RICH CALDER --- MIGHT BE OR THINK THEY ARE, BUT THEY DON'T KNOW SQUAT ABOUT THE TWO NEW BROOKLYN COUNCIL DISTRICTS --- THE 43RD & 47TH --- WHICH THEY MENTIONED IN TODAY'S NY POST ARTICLE  '2023 CITY COUNCIL RACES ALREADY IN FULL SWING'..."   [From our comment  "Galewyn Massey said...  January 14, 2023 at 5:00 PM"]

Now it seems that Mike Ragusa or somebody else on his team might have tinkered with the final version of that story.....  (Demonstrating how completely unauthoritative and lacking in journalistic objectivity the NY Post story, and its sourcing, investigation and editing might actually have been)

Here's the beef ---

An earlier version of the NY Post's story included a mention about Ragusa and his support from the Metropolitan GOP Club (the Manhattan GOP club with the history of connections to the Proud Boys) based on a Metro club tweet promoting Ragusa's earlier fundraiser at Ponte Vecchio (which fund raiser had previously been  discussed by us on this blog).

Apparently, sometime during the editing of yesterday's NY Post story, there was some kind of intervention.

One of our sources indicated that the Metro GOP Club contacted the Post, threw Ragusa under the bus, and demanded to be removed from the story, saying that they didn't have anything to do with Ragusa's campaign and fund raiser in any way.

A more likely scenario is that it wasn't the Metropolitan GOP club who called the newspaper demanding they remove any mention of a connection between them and Ragusa's fund raiser, but it was Ragusa or somebody on his team. And the reason was that he/they was/were desperately trying to distance Ragusa and/or his campaign from the from the Metropolitan GOP club and its Proud Boys reputation, even though that club does seem to be supporting Ragusa and helping to pump up his campaign for City Council in Brooklyn.

FYI  ---  here is a copy of the earlier Tweet posted by the Metro GOP Club about the Ragusa fund raising event:

"...  Metropolitan Republican Club
@metgopclub
Join Republican candidate for City Council, South Brooklyn Mike Ragu for a fundraiser this weekend with special guests
@sidrosenberg
@JohnnyTabacco
. It’s time to flip the city council seat RED! 🇺🇸💯 RSVP here... [w/link and artwork for Ragusa's 1/8/2023 fund raising event]... 2,842 Views"

The real news story here is  >>>  who are on the team that is behind Ragusa, do they really have this much juice, and why are they trying to keep their involvement so behind the scenes and secret.
