The pressure is growing on Judge Maryellen Norieka to reject the Hunter Biden plea deal amid evidence of DOJ interference with the local federal prosecutor's attempts to bring more severe charges

Since the whistle blower allegations became widely know since this time last week, pressure has been growing by many Republicans in Congress, among leading legal experts,  and even some media circles for the federal judge, who is handling the Hunter Biden case to  >>>  reject the plea deal that would allow President Joe Biden's son to avoid serving prison time after evidence has emerged that a more serious criminal tax case was sabotaged by the Biden/Garland Justice Department.....

Hunter Biden, the 53 yoa son of President Joe Biden, is scheduled to appear on July 26th in the Federal Court in Delaware before U.S. District Court Judge Maryellen Noreika  >>>  with a plea deal on the table  ---  that was offered by the Biden/ Garland DOJ prosecution team, and accepted by the defendant Hunter Biden and his defense team

For example, Republican Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin has been quoted by many in the right-leaning media as having said  >>>  “...  I hope this judge does reject this [deal], and then insists and demands on an honest investigation and an honest prosecution as well....”   And this  >>> “I don't understand how any judge could bless this plea agreement now that all of this evidence of obstruction and DOJ and FBI wrongdoing has surfaced....”  It should be remembered that Senator Johnson and Senator Charles Grassley led a two year probe into Hunter Biden’s overseas business dealings and he was reacting to testimony and evidence provided by IRS supervisory agent Gary Shapley and another IRS whistleblower that federal prosecutors had blocked search warrants, interviews and other investigative measures, as well as more serious criminal charges against Hunter Biden fully supported by the existing uncovered evidence.

Harvard law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz, a longtime supporter of Joe Biden, agreed there are good reasons for Judge Noreika to set aside the plea deal and require a complete report concerning the whistleblowers' allegations of DOJ interference. Dershowitz said it was quite troubling that the whistleblowers’ testimony directly conflicts with Attorney General Merrick Garland’s testimony that there was no interference in the Hunter Biden probe.

“If I were the judge on the Hunter Biden case, I would refuse to accept the plea bargain unless and until Garland and Weiss testify,” Dershowitz told a reporter on Tuesday. “What they've said is utterly incompatible...  [with other testimony and evidence in the case]”

In a Wall Street Journal opinion piece by Eileen O’Connor, the former head of the DOJ’s tax division, declared on Tuesday that the interference the IRS investigating  team faced was unprecedented, and it would be appropriate for the judge sitting on the case to “throw Hunter Biden’s plea deal in the trash.”  Then, Ms. O'Connor went on to add this  >>>  "....  Judges can reject plea agreements. That would be an appropriate disposition here.... And Congress, in fulfillment of its oversight obligation, must learn and share with the American public what evidence the IRS gathered, what evidence its agents weren’t permitted to obtain, and what charges might have been brought if they had.”

NY Times buries the lead --- BUT --- does confirm that Garland's DOJ did block the Hunter Biden prosecutor's attempts at bringing more charges against the President's son

Last night, the roof fell in on any-and-all Bidens that are involved in Hunter Biden's business and tax affairs  ---  and there are many Bidens that apparently fit into that category

First, in an interview shown on the CBS Evening News, an IRS whistleblower says he was told not to pursue leads involving President Biden

Then, the NY Times confirmed that the U.S. Attorney in Delaware Michael C. Weiss did in openly make a claim to his colleagues that the DOJ blocked his attempts to investigate and prosecute Hunter Biden for other crimes in other jurisdictions.....

That would apparently contradict multiple assertions by U.S.A.G. Merrick Garland, including under oath to Congress

Legal experts are saying that A.G. Garland appears to have a big problem  ---  and he needs to do some significant clarifying very quickly

The Times' report about the Weiss statement was buried deep in an article that appeared online last night and in today's print editions;  and that report said that  >>>  "... [I]n mid-2022, Mr. Weiss reached out to the top federal prosecutor in Washington, Matthew Graves, to ask his office to pursue charges and was rebuffed, according to Mr. Shapley’s testimony. A similar request to prosecutors in the Central District of California, which includes Los Angeles, was also rejected, Mr. Shapley testified. A second former I.R.S. official, who has not been identified, told House Republicans the same story. That episode was confirmed independently to The New York Times by a person with knowledge of the situation...."  (See "Competing Accounts of Justice Dept.’s Handling of Hunter Biden Case" by Glenn Thrush  & Michael S. Schmidt,  6/27.2023, NY Times/ Hunter Biden Investigation     [https://www.nytimes.com/2023/06/27/us/politics/irs-official-justice-dept-hunter-biden.html]).

The gist of the NY Times article by Thrush and Schmidt is that  >>>  "...  An I.R.S. investigator’s testimony describing strains over the inquiry into President Biden’s son is at odds with the version laid out by Attorney General Merrick Garland...."

With a year to go for the selection of nominees to be completed --- Trump takes a measurable lead over Biden --- and a growing trend in favor of Trump is becoming clearer every day

More post-indictment polling shows a trend shift toward the "accused" former President and the 2024 GOP presidential front-runner  ---  Donald Trump

Latest Harvard/ Harris Survey confirms earlier Rasmussen Poll result showing Trump with a 6-point lead  ---  45% to 39%

Even RealClearPolitics polling average now shows Biden and Trump in a virtual tie, with Biden holding a mere 0.1% lead over Trump, but with the current trend line  favoring candidate Trump

The latest Harvard/Harris survey contains a strong mix of polling poison for the re-elction campaign and prospects for President Joe Biden, and his supporters inside the Democrat Party.

With less than a year before the next presidential election cycle and selection process settles on the major party candidates,  a growing portion of the voting public appears to dislike President Biden and to disagree with his stands on key policy issues.

The polling shows that many Americans are now willing to openly express their concerns about Biden's his age and fitness, and give voice to their skepticism about the Biden/ Garland Justice Department's handling of the investigations of former President Donald Trump, culminating in his criminal indictment.

According to the latest Harvard/ Harris survey, if the presidential election were held today, Trump would emerge as the clear favorite, with 45% opting for the Republican Trump compared to 39% who sided with the incumbent Democrat Biden; with fifteen percent of those polled being unsure as to how they would vote.

The Harvard/ Harris June poll of 2090 registered voters was conducted on June 14-15, a week after the Trump indictment had been announced and published.

Even the RealClearPolitics polling average now shows Biden and Trump in a virtual tie, with Biden holding a mere 0.1% lead over Trump, but with the trend line in favor of Trump.

"Gain of function" --- A comparison of COVID-19, Dr. Fauci, and the Wuhan Lab --- with --- Hunter Biden, former VP & now-President Joseph Biden, and the Biden Family Criminal Enterprise and Corruption Lab

Who made it happen ???

Follow the money.....

What do they have in common ?????

Don't only follow the money  ---  look at the real results.....

And then ask  ---  who benefits ???????

And the anser is.....

Generally, gain of function refers to work that would help to understand how a particular living thing, or living-like thing such as a virus, might be able to change itself in the future under various conditions.

Under the present circumstances, and for the purposes of this commentary, our use of the term "gain of  function" particularly refers to seeing how certain powerful and pathologic people might be able to change, ie. morph and/or be morphed  in ways that would cause increasing harm in the world by their attempts to gain power, evade detection and maintain their position viv a vis the rest of us.....

Since "COVID-19" is now an increasingly changing category of related pathogens that pretty certainly escaped from some Dr. Frankenstein's or Dr. Jekyll's test tubes and petri dishes  ---  it is pointless to personify something like it as if it were a human character   ---   a personification  ---  like  let's say, a "Mr. Hyde".....

On the other hand, no such personification is necessary for the men of lofty titles, and many hats 'n' disguises  ---   Anthony Fauci, Hunter Biden, or Joseph Biden  ---  because they are real people.....   And needless to say, the Wuhan Lab, and the Biden Family Criminal Enterprise and Corruption Lab are on-going enterprises made up of real people in real places  ---  both conducting assorted kinds of scientific and non-scientific investigation, propagation, insemination, dissemination, deception, collusion, national and transnational business dealings, and a lot of just plain monkey business of all sorts. All of them have been involved in their own kinds of "gain of function" research in a variety of ways that has cause a massive fallout of unintended consequences for the rest of us  ---  here at home and all around the world.

We  here at this independent GOP blog for Brooklyn and Staten Island are NOT GOING TO GO INTO ANY OF THE DETAILED FACTS AND EVIDENCE that have been widely reported about these folks. and their deeds and/or misdeeds.  Besides, much of that is being discussed and hotly debated by others; and new revelations are emerging with such increasing frequency that we can hardly keep up and process the new details and evidence ourselves, given our everyday life needs and constraints.

All we hope to do is make a simple verbal analytic comparison between the Fauci-Wuhan stuff and the Biden-Biden-Biden stuff to show that  >>>  what was done in both situations was calculated and corrupt from the get go  ---  what was done in both got out of control and containment  ---  both have involved intense after-the-fact cover-ups involving wider and wider circles of more-or-less willing accessories and enablers  --- and ---  through a conceptual and analytic lens, various definitions of "gain of function" are all over both and have infected everybody involved with the Fauci-Wuhan and Biden-Biden-Biden scenarios.

We hope this "gain of function" outlook helps give you some insight that allows you start asking some of the right questions.

Those unanswered questions should include THIS ONE BIG QUESTION  >>>  in both instances, Fauci-Wuhan-COVID and Biden-Biden-Biden, who started  or enabled the whole thing in the first place  ---  who was the first enabler or the prime mover  ---  as some ask in the traditional chicken-versus-egg digression, who laid the first egg ???

Once you've solved that  ---  then, maybe you can tackle why  ---  and answer the last question that was asked in the sub-headlines above.....

MSM finally does some en masse coverage of the Hunter Biden criminal investigations/ prosecutions story --- or at least parts of it --- and even President Biden is ocassionally mentioned in the narratives.....

IT ALL STARTS WITH THE NYT  >>>  "Hunter Biden agreed... on Tuesday to plead guilty to two misdemeanor tax charges and accept terms that would allow him to avoid prosecution on a separate gun charge...   a big step toward ending ending a long-running and politically explosive investigation into the finances, drug use and international business dealings of President Biden’s troubled son....

BUT THE NYT ALSO NOTED THAT   >>>   “The investigation is ongoing.”

AND  >>>  "....  No one questions that...  [Hunter] Biden... pursued a professional path that has intersected with his father’s in ways that have raised ethical issues....  After his father became vice president in 2009, he built relationships with wealthy foreigners that brought in millions of dollars, surfacing concerns inside the Obama administration and among government watchdog groups that he was cashing in on his family name...."

ALSO IN THE NYT COVERAGE  >>>  "[According to the] five pages of documents made public on Tuesday, [the investigation] was the result of a lengthy back-and-forth between Mr. Biden’s lawyers and the Justice Department. The exchange was more akin to the interactions between the government and a major corporation facing a complex investigation....  The discussions started several years ago when Mr. Biden’s lawyers responded to grand jury subpoenas as prosecutors were examining an array of matters, including [Hunter Biden's] dealings with Chinese investors and his work for Burisma, whose board he served on while his father, as vice president, was overseeing the Obama administration’s policy toward Ukraine...."

THE NYT ALSO REPORTED  THAT  >>>  "....  In April, an I.R.S. supervisor who had been overseeing the investigation into Hunter Biden hired a lawyer and went to Congress, alleging political favoritism in how the investigation had been handled. Congressional Republicans have pledged to investigate the claims, which have also been referred to inspectors general at the Justice Department and I.R.S...."

More or less similar detailed articles or features about the Hunter Biden plea deal, and the investigations and negotiations leading up to it appeared on other mainstream outlets, such as:  CNN, CBS News, NBC News, ABC News, Fox News, NPR, PBS, and in the WaPo, the WSJ, the NY Post, Forbes, Politico, Axios, The Hill, and others.....

Needless to say, much of the coverage contained exculpatory, mitigating, and/or ameliorative commentary, attempts to minimize the significance of the whole case and Hunter Biden's plea of guilt to several charges, and to close the book on all of this Hunter Biden stuff, and all of its connections to President Biden, other than the familial care of a father for a son with problems.....

Nonetheless, there was suddenly a concerted moment with substantial coverage of the Hunter Biden saga  ---  with at least some tie-ins to some of the implications for, and many of the issues involving President Joe Biden

Paranoia of the Deep State against the people in the USA is growing --- case in point: American generals and admirals are now very much on guard for any negative comments..... It bugs them so much that they are prepared to look at everything that you might do or say about them or anything else

So  ---  is the U.S. military actively spying on citizens here in the United States to see if they have any criticisms or negative thoughts about the senior military personnel and/or what they are doing ???

***** MORE IMPORTANT  ---  ARE THEY GEARING UP TO SPY ON EVERYBODY FOR EVERYTHING ELSE *****

Is there more domestic spying being done, because
some generals and admirals, and Biden's
Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin
don't like being criticized

Why aren't MSNBC, CNN and Fox News*** reporting on this ???

The U.S. military seems to have something called the "Protective Services Battalion" (PSB), which is the Department of Defense equivalent of the civilian Secret Service to protect the military higher-ups.  ---  And now that DOD (military [it's part of the Army] not civilian) PSB is monitoring social media to see if anyone is posting negative comments about the country’s highest-ranking military commanders.

What are these guys afraid of  >>>  an outbreak of "fragging" at the Pentagon ???

Or is this just another manifestation of the metastatic growth of a particular Deep State malignancy into another govermental institution

In any case, all of this kind of stuff going on at the Pentagon shows how our tax dollars are being spent in President Biden's and Sec/Def Lloyd Austin's Department of Defence  >>>  ie., paying for military monitors to look at your social media for any critical or mean posts about the higher paid civilians in the DOD, and the generals and admirals still nominally on "active duty"  >>>  while all of them try to "woke-up" the U.S. armed services  ---  instead of really protecting the USA against the clear and present enemies and other dangers existing and arising around the world beyond our borders, and penetrating our borders as we type these words.

This is from  a recent PSB procurement document for the Protective Services Field Office/Protective Intelligence Branch  (PSIFO/PIB)   >>>  “....  requirement to provide global protective services for senior Department of Defense (DoD) officials, adequate security in order to mitigate online threats (direct, indirect, and veiled), the identification of fraudulent accounts and positive or negative sentiment relating specifically to our senior high-risk personnel.”  The report goes on to say that the Pentagon intends not just to monitor platforms for “negative sentiment,” but also to pinpoint the location(s) of those social media platforms.

As things now stand, The DOD's/ PSB's plans to go far beyond mere social media surveillance of the type offered by private contractor security/ computer firms, such as DATAMINR, which is currently being used by both the civilian police and the military to help detect perceived threats by "scraping social media timelines" and combing chatrooms for a variety of keywords.  However going forward, DOD's Protective Services Battalion (organizationally still part of the U.S. Army) would have its investigators  employ other programs to combine the social media surveillance data with a broad variety of other public and nonpublic information, all accessible through an integrated universal search selector.  These other  sources of information would include what the PSB categorizes as “signal-rich discussions from illicit threat-actor communities and access to around-the-clock conversations within threat-actor channels,” public research, CCTV feeds, radio stations, news outlets, personal records, hacked information, webcams, and — perhaps most invasive — cellular location data.....

NOW  ---  NONE OF THAT WOULD RING ANY ALARM BELLS FOR THE REST OF US !!!

OR SHOULD IT ???

The bow-wows of the MSM --- so far including the NY Times, ABC News, Rolling Stone, The Daily Beast, Yahoo, UPI, Reuters, and others --- are all reporting that Whispering Jack Smith and the Biden/Garland DOJ team are trying to block Donald Trump from showing the public or talking about any of the evidence the U.S. government intends to use to prove the charges against Trump contained in the classifeid documents indictment

Special Counsel Jack Smith (who obviously wants to be known by that venerable stage name  ---  "Whispering Jack Smith") made his motion yesterday  ---  and it said the government's hoped-for protected materials included 'sensitive and confidential information,' including personal identifiable information, information that reveals investigative techniques, non-public information relating to potential witnesses, and personal information contained on electronic devices and accounts...."

"....  The DOJ filed a motion for a protective order on Friday to prevent the ex-president from leaking the top secret materials that will be shared with his legal team during the prosecution for his alleged mishandling of documents at Mar-a-Lago...."  >>>  but here is the real scope of that particular prohibition:  "....
The Discovery Materials, along with any information derived therefrom, shall not be disclosed to the public or the news media, or disseminated on any news or social media platform, without prior notice to and consent of the United States or approval of the Court....”

Jack Smith and his rabid team of Biden/Garland Trump persecutors want to conduct a secret star-chamber-like trial, limiting the public's right to see all of it  ---  especially not to know about all of the so-called evidence against President Trump  ---  or even to know or hear how the prosecution and defense will be handling and discussing all the so called evidence in the case

Mostly the media is talking  >>>  about yesterday's motion by the DOJ for a gag order specifically against Trump and his team's revealing and/or talking about the evidence in the Mar-a-Lago-Bedminster-NJ-Washington-D.C. classified documents case  <<<  like it's a good thing

And this is what they want everybody to think it's all about:

"...  'sensitive and confidential information,' including personal identifiable information, information that reveals investigative techniques, non-public information relating to potential witnesses, and personal information contained on electronic devices and accounts...."

What they are really talking about is cutting-off the public's right to know what the evidence really is in this so-called national security/ classified documents case against former President Trump

This is exactly how the Daily Beast tried to skew the story in its lead paragraph:  "... The Justice Department doesn’t trust Donald Trump with the classified records involved in his prosecution. The DOJ filed a motion for a protective order on Friday to prevent the ex-president from leaking the top secret materials that will be shared with his legal team during the prosecution for his alleged mishandling of documents at Mar-a-Lago. Under the order, Trump would only be allowed to see the 31 documents presented by the DOJ in the case with his attorneys present. While he might not get his boxes back, as he’s been pleading for on Truth Social, the motion suggests he will be able to access some of the records seized from his Florida estate. Trump-appointed Judge Aileen Cannon referred the motion for review to Judge Bruce Reinhart, who approved the initial search of Mar-a-Lago...."

And here is how UPI put it up front in its feed:   "....  Justice Department requests protective order on evidence in Trump documents case....  Prosecutors now want to ensure that the former president does not disclose sensitive information obtained during the discovery process of the case....  The Justice Department on Friday asked the judge overseeing former President Donald Trump's classified documents case to impose a protective order over the evidence....  Special Counsel Jack Smith is seeking to prevent Trump or co-defendant Walt Nauta, his presidential valet, from disclosing sensitive information obtained during the discovery process, in which prosecutors will show the defense what evidence it has amassed during their investigation.... According to ABC News, the special counsel said that the materials include "sensitive and confidential information," including personal identifiable information, information that reveals investigative techniques, non-public information relating to potential witnesses, and personal information contained on electronic devices and accounts...."

And as for ABC itself, here's their opening remarks on the subject:  "Special counsel asks judge to keep Trump from disclosing evidence in classified documents case...  The motion said it includes 'information pertaining to ongoing investigations.'...  Special counsel Jack Smith on Friday asked the judge overseeing former President Donald Trump's classified documents case to impose a protective order over the evidence in the case....  The protective order is meant to ensure that neither Trump nor codefendant Walt Nauta, his presidential valet, disclose sensitive information obtained during the discovery process, where prosecutors will show the defense what evidence it has amassed during their investigation."

IN REALITY THIS IS WHAT JACK SMITH AND HIS GOONS HAVE ALSO ASKED FOR.....

The motion that the Jack Smith Special Counsel team of the Justice Department filed on Friday seeks a protective order against former President Donald Trump and his defense team that would prohibit Trump from sharing any classified material obtained by his lawyers in this classified documents case.

The protective order would specifically mandate that Trump himself can only review the 31 classified documents that the federal prosecutors intend to use in the case  >>>  while Trump lawyers is in the presence of his attorneys.

Furthermore. the Smith's motion seeks a proposed order that  ---   “Defendants, Trump and Nauta shall only have access to Discovery Materials under the direct supervision of Defense Counsel or a member of Defense Counsel’s staff [and that] Defendants shall not retain copies of Discovery Material. Defendants may take notes regarding Discovery Materials, but such notes shall be stored securely by Defense Counsel."

And here's the kicker in the Smith motion: “The Discovery Materials, along with any information derived therefrom, shall not be disclosed to the public or the news media, or disseminated on any news or social media platform, without prior notice to and consent of the United States or approval of the Court....”

According to some reports the motion will be reviewed by Judge Bruce Reinhart, who signed the original Mar-a-Lago subpoena.

SAME LANGUAGE AS WAS USED IN BRAGG'S CASE IN STATE COURT IN NYC

Ir is very interesting that  >>>  The language used in the federal court filing by Special Counsel Smith's tean was quite similar to the language that had been used in the former president's hush money case in New York, which barred him from sharing evidence in the case wherein Trump had been indicted in Manhattan earlier this year for an alleged hush money payment made on behalf of Trump to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016.

Collusion and conspiracy among the prosecutors ???   Hmmmm !!!  Could be.....

Why does the leftist MSM echo chamber think that "Whataboutism" is so DANGEROUS ???

If you don't yet know about this >>>  you need to see:

TIME MAGAZINE [online]  --  "The Dangerous Whataboutism in the Trump Classified Docs Case"

and

MSNBC --  "Why the 'whataboutism' in Trump docs case is so dangerous"

>>>  BUT ALSO BE SURE TO READ THE NY POST'S 'OPINION PIECE'  REBUTTAL  --  "A proud defense of whataboutism — comparing Trump to other cases is the practice of law" <<<

According to the folks at Time  >>>  "The indictment of Donald Trump on charges of retaining government documents brought with it the inevitable false equivalencies of the conduct of Trump’s chief political rival. But the actions of the two men are as different as deliberately driving your car into a crowd of people and committing a fender-bender. Both acts involve cars, but the similarities end there. Whataboutism may have become a common political ploy but it is a trick straight out of the disinformation playbook...."  (See "The Dangerous Whataboutism in the Trump Classified Docs Case"  by Barbara McQuade, 6-12-2023,  Time [Online]/ Ideas/ Politics     [https://time.com/6286371/trump-classified-documents-indictment-whataboutism/]).

And clearly a more-of-the-same echo of what was there in Time was the Morning Joe interview on MSNBC  >>>  "Former U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade and legal analyst Lisa Rubin join Morning Joe to discuss Trump's arraignment and the false equivalencies in the docs case...."  (See  " [https://www.msnbc.com/morning-joe/watch/why-the-whataboutism-in-trump-docs-case-is-so-dangerous-181909573777]).

If this were an early 19th Century dual of frigates, or two lines of battle fleets meeting off Cadiz at Cape Trafalgar, however the Democrat-flacking and leftist-leaning MSM chose to navigate and fight on the subject of "whataboutism," former U.S. Attorney for these parts (Brooklyn and Long Island), Andrew C. McCarthy, pretty much blew them out of the water, in the clear Nelsonian fashion, which eluded Jellicoe at Jutland, Spruance in the Philippine Sea, and/or Halsey at Leyte Gulf.

Although we here at this independent GOP blog for Brooklyn and Staten Island don't completely agree with everything he said, former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy did a pretty good job outmaneuvering the leftish MSM on the issue of "whataboutism" ---  and virtually crossing-the-T across the whole of their battle line.....

Here's how McCarthy brilliantly put it  ---  worts and all (but by the end, nobody'll notice any of the worts):

".... Whataboutism!

It’s becoming the lowest of pejoratives. For the Left, if you compare the way conservative politicians are treated to progressive ones, you’re rationalizing. You’re making excuses.

If you use your brain the way thinking people do, you’re not really thinking.

You are a cowardly MAGA-hack who is throwing up a smokescreen to camouflage the unique, sui generis evil that is — all together now — Donald Trump.

Good grief.

This bit of legerdemain has been around for a while. We’ve had more than the usual fill of it this week, however, because of the Biden Justice Department’s indictment of Trump.

The former President is being prosecuted for allegedly mishandling intelligence — over 300 classified documents he caused to be transmitted from the White House and shipped to his Mar-a-Lago estate, which is not an authorized repository. He is also charged with obstructing the government’s grand jury investigation.

Trump will posit a number of defenses to these charges. Some of them — based, for example, on the esoterica of the Presidential Records Act — are not very persuasive.

By contrast, he has a very compelling defense of selective, vindictive prosecution.

The Obama-Biden Justice Department gave former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton a complete pass on similarly egregious offenses.

The Biden Justice Department — even as it indicts Trump — is laying the ground work to absolve President Biden himself on what appears to be appalling classified-information violations going back decades.

Yet the earth has been scorched to make a criminal case against Trump, not only a former president but a current presidential candidate — right now, the prohibitive GOP favorite to run against Biden.

To anyone watching this, the normal reaction to Trump’s indictment is: What about Hillary? What about Biden?

Come to think of it, what about Sandy Berger and David Petraeus, who got slaps on the wrist rather than the serious felony prosecutions for classified information crimes? What about Mike Pence?

It couldn’t be more obvious that these cases are pertinent to the question of whether the indictment of Trump is fair and just.

Ergo, Trump-deranged progressives feverishly work to eviscerate what makes it obvious: our normal human thought process of weighing a decision against similar decisions.

That, they snark, is whataboutism.

Actually, what progressives deride as whataboutism is just common sense. In my profession in particular, it’s what’s known as the practice of law. It’s what’s known as jurisprudence.

It is the centuries-old Anglo-American iteration of Enlightenment reason. We develop and refine the principles we live by based on decisions in prior cases. We deal with our today and prepare for our tomorrow by learning from all our yesterdays.

Sadly, the Left’s taunts tend to work. Increasingly often, we hear Republicans and conservatives garbling their points so they can assure us they’re not engaging in “whataboutism” — when, of course, they surely are if they’re making any sense.

It’s sense that progressives are trying to exile. Don’t fall for it.

I am a proud, dyed-in-the-wool whataboutist. I always will be. I make no apologies for examining what has been done to determine what should be done. You shouldn’t either.

In our rational world, whataboutism ought to persuade President Trump to apologize for having done what military or intelligence officers who’ve mishandled defense secrets get prison time for.

Then President Biden, in view of the inevitable dropping of the classified-information probe against him, ought to order the Justice Department to drop its case against Trump.

With such efforts to reestablish equal justice under the law, perhaps we could commit to enforcing national security law going forward. Then maybe let voters, rather than prosecutors, decide the next election for a change.

What about that?..."  (See "A proud defense of whataboutism — comparing Trump to other cases is the practice of law" by Andrew C. McCarthy, 6-14-2023 [Flag Day], New York Post/ Opinion  [NY Post print editions 6-15-2023] [https://nypost.com/2023/06/14/a-proud-defense-of-whataboutism-comparing-trump-to-other-cases-is-the-practice-of-law/]).

We recently have called him "whacky and "crazy" --- however, Trump is now refering to federal prosecutor --- Biden and Garland's hand-picked "Special Counsel" --- Jack Smith as a "deranged thug" & a "raging lunatic"

Former President Donald Trump took a hard swing with a brickbat at federal prosecutor Jack Smith's head during his post-arraignment speech at Bedminster Golf Club on Tuesday evening  ---  referring to Smith as both a “deranged thug" and “raging lunatic”

And to drive home the point that  >>>  TRUMP WAS BEING VERY PERSONAL ABOUT SPECIAL COUNSEL SMITH  ---  Mr. Trump brought Smth's wife into it  ---  AGAIN:  “He’s a raging and uncontrolled Trump hater, as is his wife, who happened to be the producer of that Michelle Obama puff piece. This is the guy I’ve got....”

That's why we love former President Trump; ever since January 6th, 2021, he makes it alright for us to hate our Democrat and RINO enemies, so that we are willing to do gladly what needs to be done to them going forward.

Even though he switched parties --- and he calls himself a "Republican" member of the NY City Council --- Ari Kagan is still acting and virtue signaling like he is a radical woke Democrat by showing an LBTGQ+ Disney movie aimed at famiies with children, and very likely to unaccompanied children as well

Look at two of the most recent postings on Ari Kagan's political social media account:

First this, to get families with children to come out and watch his movie "co-sponsored with NYC...":

"Ari Kagan...  Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 9:39 AM...

...."

and then this on the very evening of June 10th at the event:

"Ari Kagan...  Happening now in Scarangella Park, Gravesend. My office - in partnership with NYC Department of Parks - is hosting a Movie Night “Strange World”. Kids and their parents are happy. We are also serving popcorn and snacks. Everyone is enjoying a great weather, a cool movie and a good company.... Thank you, my wonderful staff Jeannine Cherichetti and Erica Turner, for assistance!..."

Are the Republican and Conservative Party Chairmen, Ghorra and Kassar, supportive of their candidate Ari Kagan's presentation to families with children of Disney's very Woke first time presentation of LBGTQ+ themes in a movie aimed at children ?????

Don't forget that it wasn't that long ago that both Fox News and the New York Post were reporting that :

".... The film ["Strange World"] also features the first openly LGBTQ+ teenaged Disney character, who discusses his crush in the movie...."  and that "... the film [was] bombing [at the box office]...."   And  “....  In some cases, parents are avoiding content with sexual conversations [like Disney's "Strange World"]. Parents are [savvier] today. They use social media and get feedback on films [like "Strange World"] from their peers either online or in person....” Fox and the NY Post quoted a nonwoke film critic, who said  that  >>>  "There could be multiple reasons for the film’s poor performance, but noted that discussion of sexuality in a children’s movie “certainly didn’t help the film’s box office fortunes.”

The movie that Ari Kagan co-presented last night along with the NYC Parks Department  >>> as appropriate for families with children of all ages <<<  in a City-owned park in Brooklyn was about an explorer family called the "Clades." In the movie, a young male character named "Ethan" talked to his grandfather about his same-sex crush on another boy.

Fox and Breitbart News report: "Republican Councilman Busted for Drugs Faces Child Molestation Charges"*

Show of hands:   How many of you immediately thought that we were talking about Ari Kagan ???

Well, that's not the story being pitched by Breitbart News.....  So, to all those out there that did think it was Ari Kagan  >>>  don't jump to premature conclusions, one way or the other.....

Then again, as we have reported on other matters  >>>  Ari Kagan has not been properly vetted by the Brooklyn GOP.  ---  And we now know that there is a lot of bad stuff out there that Kagan has hidden about himself;  and when confronted, he refuses to talk about it.

_______________

* According to a report on Breitbart's news feed:  "A former city official accused of substance abuse is now being charged with child molestation in Cranston, Rhode Island....  Cranston City Councilman Matthew Reilly, a Republican, is facing charges of drug possession but was recently charged regarding the alleged child molestation, Fox News reported Friday...."  (See "Republican Councilman Busted for Drugs Faces Child Molestation Charges" by Amy Furr, June 9, 2023, Breitbart     [https://www.breitbart.com/crime/2023/06/09/republican-councilman-busted-drugs-faces-child-molestation-charges/]).

*** REPUBLICAN OUTRAGE !!! *** AT AN UNPRECEDENTED, AND MELLIFLUOUS-BUT-MALEVOLENT 37-COUNT INDICTMENT AGAINST PRESIDENT TRUMP

MOST REAL REPUBLICANS are rallying behind the once and future POTUS Donald Trump  ---  and they see the 37-count "BOXES HOAX" indictment by the Biden/Garland DOJ as an attempt to decapitate the GOP in advance of the 2024 election for President

Many Republicans in Washington are now saying that:

1) The Biden-at-all-cost Democrats rushed this otherwise ill-timed and unprecedented prosecution of a former president, and current front-running Republican  presidential candidate in order to dilute the impact of the official FBI documents showing evidence from a highly credible human source (and long-time FBI informant) of foreign corruption and likely treasonous acts by Joe Biden as VP;

2) The whole of this special counsel (not  "Independent Counsel") lunatic Jack Smith's "investigation," and now "prosecution" and indictment of Trump is only one part of the Biden-at-all costs Democrats' bigger scheme to rig the 2024 presidential election;

3) Contrary to Special Counsel Jack Smith's assertions about the equal treatment and application of the national security laws and classification rules, and various attempts to obstruct justice by President Trump,  this indictment alleging breaches of national security, the possession, movement and concealment of classified materials, "espionage," and a variety of acts obstructing justice brought by wacky Special Counsel Smith is completely different from the treatment of the very similar cases involving top Democrats, including: President Joe Biden, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former National Security Adviser Samuel "Sandy" Berger, and former CIA Director and military commander David Patraeus;  and

4) This is an exemplary demonstration of the culmination of the weaponization of the Biden/Garland FBI and DOJ, and the MSM propaganda operation against all Republicans and others that might oppose the radical Democrat woke agenda of the Biden/ Harris Administration

HOWEVER, ON THE LOCAL FRONT  >>>  What does the leadership of the Brooklyn GOP and the 2023 Brooklyn GOP candidates for City Council have to say about all of this ???

As we approach the 2023 GOP primaries rank-and file Republican voters have a right to know; they need to know   >>>  and they must be told by everybody in a position to tell them.....

One picture that IS worth a thousand words

Sometimes who's in a picture tells you all that you need to know about what's going-on in the picture

Let's go Anna

Here's Anna and her "friends" in Bay Ridge with about three weeks to go until the Brooklyn GOP Primary  ---  and fewer than ten days until early voting

Anna's accompanying text on social media makes a good point or two as well.....

"Great time on 5th ave in Bay Ridge Sunday. So much support, so much enthusiasm. Early voting begins June 17. Vote Anna Belfiore-Delfaus, the only real Republican in the race!"
