NY Times buries the lead --- BUT --- does confirm that Garland's DOJ did block the Hunter Biden prosecutor's attempts at bringing more charges against the President's son

Last night, the roof fell in on any-and-all Bidens that are involved in Hunter Biden's business and tax affairs  ---  and there are many Bidens that apparently fit into that category

First, in an interview shown on the CBS Evening News, an IRS whistleblower says he was told not to pursue leads involving President Biden

Then, the NY Times confirmed that the U.S. Attorney in Delaware Michael C. Weiss did in openly make a claim to his colleagues that the DOJ blocked his attempts to investigate and prosecute Hunter Biden for other crimes in other jurisdictions.....

That would apparently contradict multiple assertions by U.S.A.G. Merrick Garland, including under oath to Congress

Legal experts are saying that A.G. Garland appears to have a big problem  ---  and he needs to do some significant clarifying very quickly

The Times' report about the Weiss statement was buried deep in an article that appeared online last night and in today's print editions;  and that report said that  >>>  "... [I]n mid-2022, Mr. Weiss reached out to the top federal prosecutor in Washington, Matthew Graves, to ask his office to pursue charges and was rebuffed, according to Mr. Shapley’s testimony. A similar request to prosecutors in the Central District of California, which includes Los Angeles, was also rejected, Mr. Shapley testified. A second former I.R.S. official, who has not been identified, told House Republicans the same story. That episode was confirmed independently to The New York Times by a person with knowledge of the situation...."  (See "Competing Accounts of Justice Dept.’s Handling of Hunter Biden Case" by Glenn Thrush  & Michael S. Schmidt,  6/27.2023, NY Times/ Hunter Biden Investigation     [https://www.nytimes.com/2023/06/27/us/politics/irs-official-justice-dept-hunter-biden.html]).

The gist of the NY Times article by Thrush and Schmidt is that  >>>  "...  An I.R.S. investigator’s testimony describing strains over the inquiry into President Biden’s son is at odds with the version laid out by Attorney General Merrick Garland...."

Ted the winner and Kassar the leader spoke through the voters yesterday. Its called RESULTS

1246, Ted won the Republican primary for his favorite police defunder council candidate, Ari Kagan; Kassar's leadership has now given us a former KGB-type Soviet security agent as his candidate for NY City Council.

In the end the losers never win. They blog.

BUT Ted lost the Vito Labella race. Now that is telling.

Vito should now just fade away and move to Cape Cod - he is a 2 time loser now...good by pal

Ghorra really highlighted his win with Ari to city gop leaders in a email today while taking a nice shot at "my predessesor" for supporting a canididate that came in last with 250 votes." Its making the rounds..

615, it sure sounds like Ghorra is obsessed with "[his] predessesor" (sic) Eaton.....

Ghorra's e-mails to other GOP leaders mentioning somebody else for an implied comparison seems very weak and insecure.

hey 3:23 Vito did move to Cape Cod five years ago.

The real question is why didn't Ghorra mention in his text, which I received before (not an email) that Ying Tan was endorsed by Eaton and beat Vito "I hate Brooklyn" Labella for whom the County and Ghorra pulled out all the stops.

Ghorra is weak and insecure - Just look at his head,

Bragging about getting a KGB member, lifetime Dem, supporter of all Dems against Ted's candidates in 2022, elected in a primary is nothing to brag about.

I feel bad for Eaton. He got his clock cleaned again and Ghorra made sure city GOP leaders know it.

925, you have some real cognative and/or emotional problems if you spend any time feeling bad for Craig Eaton.

He isn't any kind of show off, he lives within his means, and his kids have done well enough so far that it looks like they'll do well on their own; and as far as I know, Eaton still has more stuff in more places than most of the people I've known (but not all). So when I think of Eaton and feeling bad, it's mostly for those folks that haven't had a chance to see some of his collectable stuff. (Hint: some of Eaton's baubbles, bangles and beeds even impressed Cats.....]

I think you mean Kassar, Ghorra and Cats are laughing at Avery and Eaton..thats what i heard happened on their call Tues night.

313, I meant nothing of the sort; more important, my comment at 352 said nothing of the sort.

Your comment pretty much proves that you certainly do have a cognative deficit on a level with the brain damage obviously suffered by Brian Fox by being cross-checked into the boards too much, and too much skiing on the snowy slopes year round.

313, it all causes me to conclude that you probably are Brian Fox.
