The last second pitch by the Brooklyn GOP & Conservative Party is a Big Bad Balk

 

Across the board for the Brooklyn GOP and Conservative Party  ---  the last weekend message was lots of different messages

THE "LET'S FACE IT  ---  THERE AIN'T NO RACE FOR MAYOR IN THIS NOVEMBER OF 2021  ---  OR FOR VERY MUCH OF ANYTHING LOCAL EITHER"  EDITION

At best, there are no more than one or two races that might be competitive in the entire Borougn of Brooklyn/ County of Kings in the CIty and State of New York

The competitve local races come down to two:  the race FOR Inna Vernikov  ---   and the one AGAINST Justin Brannan

FOR MAYOR

Let's start with the candidate we got behind for mayor  ---  OK !!!  ---  Let's make that the two candidates we got behind for mayor:  Curtis Sliwa and Bill Pepitone.....  For anybody that still might care, and if you are actually "FOR" either of these guys the only question left is  >>>  How bad iis it going to be ???  (However, don't be surprised if the combined protest vote for these two looks pretty good, because Eric Adams hasn't set the world on fire with enthusiasm for his kind of watered-down law'n'order and get back to normal platform).  Why the GOP and the Conservatives went their separate ways on this is more complicated than we can get into right now  ---  but whatever it was, it killed any chance that might have existed to make any real race against the Democrats work on any level.....

THE ONE REAL WINNABLE LOCAL RACE IN BROOKLYN

With a few weeks to go, Inna looked like she might have been all set for an upset of our former compatriot Brooklyn Republican, Steve Saperstein, who flipped to Democrat and won his seat on the City council in a special election .  Then the speed cams thing came up at a key moment; and it pretty much took the wind out of Ms. Vernikov's  sails.  

Nonetheless, maybe the Trump robo-calls will make more of a difference than most robo-calls do..... So,  Inna still might win in a SQUEAKER  ---  and I'm sure that  Ted will be there to celebrate out in Brighton/ Manhattan Beach if she does win.

IN THE OTHER RACE THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN COMPETITIVE  ---  BECAUSE BRANNAN WAS RIPE FOR AN UPSET

The big missed opportunity of 2021 will be in the old GOP stronghold that was mostly centered on the "old 49th" parts of Dyker Heights and Bay Ridge that Sal Albanese changed forever.  Incumbent Democrat Justin Brannan came into 2021 bucking very strong headwinds. He had won the seat very narrowly against Republican- Conservative John Quaglione in 2017;  and a real race by a real credible GOP-Cons candidate might have spelled "... 'Trouble' with a capital 'T'..." for Justin baby.  

Instead, somebody thought that somebody else who could beat Justin Brannan in Sumo wrestling was the right way to go in 2021  ---   other than that, there could not have been any other legitimate reason to pick the man we think we know as "Biran Fox" as the Brooklyn GOP candidtate for City Council in/and for the 43rd Council District.

Brian Fox is somebody that never voted in the area of the 43rd Council District before, and he only recently started to call Bay Ridge his home (and then probably only because of his becoming a political candidate). Fox isn't even from any other part of Brooklyn, being raised outside of New York City, he says Long Island, but the evidence says New Jersey. 

Even why he uses the name "Fox" is shrouded in mystery, when his "parents" go by the name Rundell (until this election when his mom changed her personal appellation to "Rundell Fox" for the first time. There seems also to be a "brother," Perry Fox, but Brian Fox has said nothing to anybody about any of this  ---  even though he has been questioned about it repeatedly. (At least nobody ever said that he had a birth certificate in Africa, like ykw).

Brian Fox's other life history, as in his education, and professional and work histories, is also quite mysterious. Any data base searches come up with contradidctory and overlapping information and/or misinformation.   His most recent fabrication(s) seem(s) to be that he is some kind of self-employed entrepreneur  ---  but there is little to nothing to back that up.  His currently-claimed 'local" business is something that he calls "Phillip Martin Talent Advisors, LLC";  in which Brain Fox says that he is the "Founder" and "Managing Partner".....   The problem is that there doesn't seem to be any other partner(s), and immediately after Brian founded the company, he started running for the NYC Council. Furthermore, it's only local in Brian Fox's head and his apartment  ---  it is a foreign "LLC" with a number from an out-of-area telephone area code. If it did any business, it would be a foreign company doing or conducting busness in New York, and it's filings would have to reflect that (Oh, that's right, what filings ???). Along the way, Brian Fox claimed to have bought and sold businesses, and owned four or five restaurants (You guessed it, no paperwork on that either.....  And who doesn't know if they owned four or five restaurants ???).

By now, readers of this blog should know all there is to know about the horrid campaign of lies and deceit that Brian Fox has been part of at the hands of his Svengali/ Horse Whisperer, Liam McCabe.....

When you put it all together, it sure don't spell "MOTHER"  >>>  it don't spell a winning race against Brannan either.  "2021" another year, another election  --- another missed opportunity ---  for the Brooklyn GOP to take back the Bay Ridge-Dyker Heights, Bath Beach City Council seat most recently held by GOP-Conservative Marty Golden before he became the areas state senator..

"Spectrum News - NY1" blows up the Fox-McCabe 11th-hour "Big Lie" about Councilman Brannan's involvement in the harassment of Brannan's former friend and co-worker Mikey Bistreich

 

"SPECTRUM NEWS - NY1" CALLS THE FOX-BRANNAN CONTEST IN CITY COUNCIL DISTRICT 43   >>> "NASTY" <<<  THEN IT REPORTED THAT JUSTIN BRANNAN WASN'T EVEN WORKING FOR THEN-COUNCILMAN  GENTILE WHEN THE ALLEGED HARASSMENT OF MICHAEL BISTREICH BY GENTILE AND GENTILE'S STAFF HAPPENED 

Several news outlets that did recent interviews of Brian Fox and Michael Bistreich  >>>  took passes on reporting about the most recently fabricated allegations against Councilman Brannan's for his alleged "involvement" in any acts of harassment against Bistreich  ---  for example, NY1 - Spectrum News repeated that Brannan's name was "mentioned" in an "affidavit" in the Bistreich case, but then took pains to say that Brannan was not on Gentile's staff at the time of the alleged harassment of Bistreich (Just connect the dots as to what "Spectrum1 News" was trying to get across without directly attacking a so-called "victim" with a hashtag like "#BelieveMikey") 

As usual, the Brian Fox for City Council campaign, being run by Liam McCabe, has gotten its weight way-out over the front of its skis  ---  and it will be a tumbling mess coming down the mountain by the last day of voting on Tuesday.

It seems that nobody in the 2021 Fox campaign bothered to ask this obvious question  >>>  "Why didn't the 2017 Quaglione campaign do more with Mikey Bistreich's then-kind-of-new "story" connecting the Gentile-Mancuso-Bistreich scandal to Brannan when it had the chance to do so ???  

Instead, in 2021 Fox and McCabe went all-in pushing and prodding Bistreich and his mom to give them more for this year's campaign, and to do more in the campaign; while Quaglione and his team held back on all that kind of stuff in 2017.

Hopefully --- this 11th hour Bistreich gambit will show everybody that everything about the Brian Fox for City Council Campaign has been nothing but a series of "Big Lies" --- to which Fox and McCabe have now added the look and feel of "Urban Terrorism"

 

We have met the enemy and they are us.....

With less than a week until election day  >>>  Brian Fox and the Brian Fox for City Council campaign, has decided to shift it's messaging completely  ---  and for seventy-two hours now  ---  has barraged us all with fake news and the misreporting of known facts  >>>  that had long been established and reported by the local and city-wide press  concerning Michael Bistreich and his claims against the City of New York, and Councilman Vincent Gentile and the prominent Staten Island Democrat John Mancuso, Gentile's former Chief of Staff  ---  with Justin Brannan at most  barely mentioned and then only on the periphery <<<

By going all-in on a tactic that failed against Justin Brannan in 2017  ---  the Brian Fox braintrust, headed by Liam McCabe, has all but conceded that everything else that they had tried against Justin Brannan in their 2021 campaign has been a failure

And then, in the last few days of their dying campaign ---  by presenting their own newly produced and newly edited "Hostage-style video" of Michael Bistreich, Brian Fox and his whole crew have now publlcly demonstrated that they are more than willing and content to be nothing more than "Urban Terrorists"  >>>  What next the release of a video tape of a public beheading of "....  Mikey..." by Brian Fox and Liam McCabe in some cave in front of a yellow and black lawn sign, with all the rest of their cell cheering to show how bad  >>>  the other side is ???

And are the Republican and Conservative parties in Brooklyn happy to be allied with the likes of the new "Urban Terrorists" Brian Fox and Liam McCabe ?????

Just look at what the Brooklyn GOP and Conservative Party have become by following Liam McCabe down the rabbit hole along with his over-sized, bald-headed, fleecey bunny Fox......

NEWS FLASH --- FOX TEAM WAITS UNTIL 10/25/2021 FOR ITS "OCTOBER SURPRISE" --- WELL, THEY DECIDED THAT MIKEY BISTREICH WOULD BE THEIR BEST ARGUMENT AGAINST JUSTIN BRANNAN IN THE LAST WEEK OF THE CAMPAIGN

This the second straight municipal election that a Republican-Conservative candidate for City Council for the 43rd Council District has flogged the poor (although wealthier lately) man with what has been called "Asperger's" or autism, Michael Bistreich.....

It seems that Brian Fox and his guru Liam McCabe are willing to try anything twice.....

It also seems that Justin Brannan was wrong when he Tweeted that his opponent had run out of mud.....  Justin should have known that, when one is up against bottom-feeders like Fox and McCabe, they suck up old muck like it's a free all-you-can-eat buffet where everything is deemed "fresh" no matter how old and rotten it might really be

Anatomy of a campaign with nothing left but the grift and the skim --- 11th hour buy of Brian Fox Campaign fleece vests --- and twin hoaxes in last week about a single "stolen" lawn sign

 

Brian Fox posts video hoax  ---  alleged to have been the theft of one lone lawn sign  ---  However, Liam McCabe posted a very similar single stolen lawn sign hoax almost a day earlier

Not only are these Siamese twin hoaxes dirty campaign tricks by Brian Fox and his top guy Liam McCabe  ---  they are very poor and pathetic dirty campaign tricks  ---  and very badly executed

The proof that it is all a hoax is apparent, and it's contained inside the Facebook posts, on Liam Ambrose McCabe's page, and on the Brian Fox for City Council Facebook and web pages

And then we have the spectacle of the purchase of a bunch of fleece vests with the "Brian Fox for City Council" logo on them  ---  which were given out to Brian and Liam, and a handful of campaign insiders  ---  Is this the best use of donor funds and/or matching funds for the last days of this so far very lack-luster 2021 campaign  ???

With less than two weekends to go, suddenly the empty gas tank light started flashing on the Fox campaign dashboard.

TIME TO BUY CAMPAIGN SWAG FOR THE FOX TEAM INSIDERS

When a campaign suddenly buys usless giveaway material at the very back end of a campaign, then you know that they have nothing better to spend their money on than momentos.  If that material is fleece vests for a select few insiders, then more pointed questions might need to be asked by the grownups out there.

AND THEN  ---  THERE WAS THE GREAT LAWN SIGN CAPER

The first single stolen lawn sign item to appear was on the Liam Ambrose McCabe Facebook page, as follows:  
"Liam Ambrose McCabe is [imogi] feeling disappointed...  [8:52 PM,  10/23/2021]...  Why are #JustinBrannan campaigners resorting to vandalism and theft? I guess it's in line with him ducking debates and spreading slander about Brian Fox for City Council but it's still shame they have resorted to these type of tactics..."

Then this appeared both on the Fox campaign Facebook page, and also on the campaign's web page:  
"Brian Fox for City Council...  [(Facebook) @3:51 PM, 10/24/2021]...   Disgusting…. but not surprising Justin Brannan (Councilman Justin Brannan) supporters are willing to stoop to this sort of behavior to shield for truth about what their preferred candidate did to the men and women of the NYPD last Summer. Unfortunately for them, we know and we remember. Thank you to one of my many supporters for coming down to my office and brining this disturbing video to myself.... Make no mistake, this goes so much farther than just a sign on somebody’s lawn. It is a desperate attempt to deprive voters of knowing about just one of the many horrible decisions the Councilman has made since being in office.... #dykerheights...  #Bensonhurst... #bathbeach... #bayridge..."

The McCabe and Fox lawn sign postings are separated in time by about eighteen (18) hours --- nonetheless, they allegedly depict similar things, and the accompanying verbal obserations are quite similar.

Of course Fox tried this transparent charade --- ".... Thank you to one of my many supporters for coming down to my office and brining [sic] this disturbing video to myself...." --- in a useless attempt to make his video look like it was unrelated to McCabe's post (tough to really tell, but it looks like the same unidentfied two kids in McCabe's posted still photo and Fox's posted video).

Everything should be going into Inna Vernikov's race for the NY City Council

 

She's attractive, she's popular in her area, she has the support of many local leaders, and she is an unashamedly up-front Donald Trump Republican

---  So  ---  Why isn't the Brooklyn GOP and Conservative Party doing more to get Inna Vernikov elected   >>>   in a race that could be won in 2021 ???

The NY Post, the Jewish Voice, and local papers more or less tell the story like this  ---  In the City Council race to fill the seat vacated by Democrat Chaim Deutsch ---  in the now very clearly "purple" district running from Manhattan Beach, through Sheepshead Bay, and pretty far north into Midwood  ---  voters will choose between candidates who haven’t always been very red or very blue.

The current incumbent, Democrat Steven Saperstein, had run for the City Council in 2017 and for the NY State Assembly in 2018 as the Republican nominee, before being elected to the NYC Council as a Democrat. His current opponent is Inna Vernikov, a Ukrainian-born lawyer, who routinely used to vote Democrat, but is now running as a Republican-Conservative true believer.

That’s not disqualifying, or even unusual for a district, which voted nearly two-to-one for then-President Donald Trump over  now-President Joe Biden in 2020, yet almost always elects Democratic representatives to local and state government,  and to congress (with the notable but brief exceptions of David Storobin and Bob Turner).

Even though Steve Saperstein seems to be well out front in the money race, at last count having about $163,000 on hand, compared to Vernikov's  more modest, but still significant, $87,000 left in her campaign coffers  >>>  Inna Vernikov is also  banking on the pro-Trump  types to come out to the polls for her in this year's municipal election. 

Inna V.  has been very outspoken as a big supporter of the former president, and she has made criticism of radical left-wing Democrats in City Hall and in Congress a central theme of her campaign. And it couldn't hurt that she is supported by former Assemblyman Dov Hikind, a conservative Democrat for whom she previously had worked, but who often supported Republicans, and is respected by a large number of Orthodox Jewish voters throughout southern Brooklyn, including parts of the council district where Vernikov is running.

Wow, it seems like the article's author pretty much gave Brian Fox a free ride (probably because Fox convinced Samar Kurshid that he was some kind of Assyrian, Bessarabian,  or other brand of  Pan-Islamist wolf hiding in sheeps' clothing  ---  and convincing Mr. Samar Kurshid that "take back our neighboods" really meant declaring Bay Ridge, Brooklyn  >>> Bay Ridge, Brookarabia).

In Staten Island there is a blast from Brooklyn's past running for the City Council in what's called the Mid-Island district

 

Folks in Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights should well-remember Sal Albanese, long-time school board member, Democratic Party District Leader, City Councilman, and unsuccessful candidate for the NYS Assembly, the U.S. Congress, and Mayor for the City of New York

Sal is trying to get back into the New York City Council from the Mid-Island District of Staten Island after having served there as a Brooklyn Councilman from 1983 through 1997

Sal Albanese is a longtime political warhorse, who this year might disprove the old addage that "... there are no second acts in politics."

Like so many of us, Sal and his wife Lorraine moved from Southwest Brooklyn across "The Bridge" to Staten Island.  As a child, Sal Albanese emigrated from Italy with his family, and he became a local Brooklyn success story. After college at the CUNY, he became a NYC teacher, who then became a member of the local school board, ran for the NYS Assembly, became the Democrat District Leader for Bay Ridge and Sunset Park, was elected to the New York City Council by beating long-time Republican-Conservative Angelo Arculeo in a district, whose character and boundaries were very much like those of the current 43rd Council District in Brooklyn, except it was much more Republican and conservative then.

Now, in Staten Island, Albanese is running for the so-called Mid-Island City Council seat, which has long been held by Republicans.  Although it is in an area that voted for president Trump in 2020, it is also one that has elected a longtime moderate Democrat, Michael Cusick, as its legislative representative to the NYS Assembly.  

Some observers believe that Albanese has more going for him than the other Democrat candidates that ran in the Mid-Island council district in previous years. In addition to still having a formidable campaign fund of over ninety thousand bucks ($90,507) available, Albanese has been endorsed by several law enforcement, firefighter and other municipal unions.

Also making the Albanese campaign more interesting in this rather GOP leaning conservative-minded district is that Sal has been campaigning on a strong public safety platform. It also doesn't hurt Sal at all  >>>  that he ran against Mayor de Blasio in two mayoral primaries. On the stump, Albanese has been telling voters, and anyone elese that will listen, that he believes de Blasio is the worst mayor New York City ever had. 

Sal Albanese especially bristles at any and all Republican charges that he is just another Mayor de Blasio Democrat  ---  “I’ve always appealed to broad based constituencies. It’s been my approach every time I run for office.... Calling me a ‘Bill de Blasio Democrat’ is [ ] a joke.” 

Although it might not count for much on Staten Island, it should also be noted that several times during Brooklyn State Senator Marty Golden's runs for re-election, Sal Albanese had been quite open in his support of the conservative Republican from Bay Ridge.

Another interesting facet that makes the campaign for this city council seat more competitive this time around is that there is a candidate named George Wonica,  a well-known Staten Island realtor, who is running in the Mid-Island City Council District on the Conservative Party line.  Given the fact that Staten Islander Bill Pepitone is also running for mayor on the Conservative Party line, Wonica could wind up taking a substantial number of  votes away from the Republican City Council nominee in the Mid-Island district, David Carr.  All of that is to the benefit of Democrat Sal Albanese.

By announcing that a professional cigar roller will be at his fund raising event today, Brian Fox was letting everbody know that he still is the same old lovable cigar-chomping  afficianado that he was during those go-go-go Wall Street parties with the pumpers-and-dumpers and/or churners-and-burners at the three (and possibly more*) "investment" companies that made their money in so many kinds of nefarious dealings that federal prosecutors  and/or regulators had to shut them down

Brian Fox shouldn't be surprised that we at this Independent Republican blog would be asking questions like these,  because Fox opened the door by posting the so-called "... mom and dad...." picture on Facebook yesterday. 

This isn't something that's new or news to either Brian Fox or the Brian Fox for City Council Campaign.  Sometime around Mothers Day 2021, we wrote this:  "....  Elinor Rundell Fox must be a wonderful mom.  Until very recently, she was content being known as Elinor Rundell;  but budda-bing-budda-boom, now everything is "Elinor Rundell Fox."  Just why do you think that is ?????  One can only guess....."

Fox does it again --- shows up at a crime scene, does a video, and in the video completely misreports what happened at the scene --- this time Fox covered up two key facts: that it was a "domestic disturbance" --- and that it was a "Police Involved Shooting" by an off-duty officer

Here are the list of lies contained in Fox's latest video mis-reporting about a shooting in Brooklyn, but outside of the 43rd Council District:

1 - Saying that the shooting incident happened in Justin Brannan's neighborhood, when it did not.....

2 - Calling it another shooting in the 43rd Council District, when it was not.....

3 - Failing to tell everybody that it was an off-duty police officer involved shooting, because it didn't fit Fox's narrative

4 - Promising that, if elected to the NY City Council,  he would "end these kinds of shootings"

According to the NY Daily News report of the events, here's what it was really all about  ---  " An off-duty NYPD cop, enraged at finding her ex-girlfriend together with another woman, shot them both Wednesday — killing the new lover and wounding the estranged gal pal....  Officer Yvonne Wu, 31, who’s assigned to the 72nd Precinct in Brooklyn, opened fire on the couple in her ex’s home at 19th Ave. near 80th St. in Bensonhurst just after 5 p.m., hitting both in the chest, police sources said...."  (See "Off-duty NYPD cop shoots her ex-girlfriend and kills the ex’s new love interest: sources" by Rocco Parascandola, Thomas Tracy, John Annese (with Kerry Burke), 10/13/2021, NY Daily News/  NYC Crime/ New York  [https://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/nyc-crime/ny-brooklyn-off-duty-cop-shoots-two-women-20211013-amoyz3a6pvhr3nxvq7azxuviji-story.html]).

Needless to say, neither Brian Fox nor the Brian Fox for City Council Campaign followed up with any additional details and/or to correct any of the completely false reporting contained in the Brian Fox video or a contemporaneous post with still photos of the crime scene.  Even with over 30 mostly negative and corrective comments to the two posts on the Brian Fox for City Council Facebook page,  Fox has left the false reporting of this shooting stand uncorrected for over seventeen (17) hours.

FOX AND HIS CAMPAIGN TEAM AREN'T JUST A BUNCH OF LIARS  ---  THEY ARE A BUNCH OF LAZY LIARS.....

Brian Fox continues his pattern of lying about his opponent Councilman Justin Brannan --- this time Fox lied about the so called "Scheduled Debate" at the Dyker Heights Civic Association --- and Brannan's real reason for taking a pass on it

Fox lied when he said that Brannan had cancelled his appearance at the debate  ---  because he must have "had something better to do".....

Brian Fox compounded that lie when he stated that the date and time had been agreed-to by Brannan  --- AND ---   the debate had been scheduled for "a long time"

The reality was that Brannan's campaign had only agreed to participating in the debate if proper COVID-19 protocols were to be followed for large public gatherings --- including "proof of vacination"  ---  and  ---  both the sponsor of the event and the Brian Fox for City Council campaign refused to agree to the "proof of vaccination" protocol 

[Since the President and Executive Member of the Dyker Heights Civic Association is Fran Vella-Marrone, a supporter and top advisor to the Brian Fox for City Council campaign, the refusal of the campaign's and the association's agreement to the COVID-19 "proof of vaccination" protocol was proof that they were acting in concert  ---  and that neither intended that there actually be a debate  ---  even though both the Fox campaign and Dyker Civic did announce that one had been agreed to and scheduled for last night at 6:30 (or 7:00 PM) ]

Here's how Jaime Dejesus of the Brooklyn/ Bay Ridge Reporter described how it all went down: 

"Democratic City Councilmember Justin Brannan will not debate his Republican challenger Brian Fox at tonight’s meeting of the Dyker Heights Civic Association....  The in-person debate was to take place at 7 p.m. at St. Philip’s Church, 1072 80th St....  Brannan said that during negotiations for the debate, his campaign requested that organizers require proof of vaccination and masks for all in attendance but the request was denied....  'I would love the opportunity to debate my opponent, but cannot agree to do so under terms that put people’s lives at serious risk, all the more so because of my opponent’s proud and vocal opposition to the COVID vaccines,...  My team and I cannot look past the fact that basic health and safety measures during a global pandemic would be ignored at this debate.'...”  (See "Brannan-Fox debate canceled due to COVID-19 protocol disagreement" by Jaime Dejesus, 10-12-2021,  Brooklyn Reporter/ Bay Ridge Home Reporter    [https://brooklynreporter.com/2021/10/brannan-fox-debate-canceled-due-to-covid-19-protocol-disagreement/]).

On the other hand, here's what Fox posted on his campaign's social media in two separate posts on his campaign's Facebook page on Tuesday night at about 9:30 PM:

"Tonight my opponent declined an invitation to debate me, but was able to attend a Democratic club party just a few blocks away from where the debate was held. And to add insult to injury, he is maskless! ... His first priority is not his constituents but political gain...."

And this thing that was so full of mistakes, that we had to add the stuff in bracketts for it to make any sense at all: "... Although he was not there in attendance [at the debate, ] and [Brannan] just [must] have [had] better things to do, all of my fantastic supporters and community leaders were including Assamblyman Peter Abate [sic]...." (Now, let's have a show of hands --- how many people think that Democrat Assmblyman Peter Abbate is actually supporting Brian Fox ?????)

At 2:00 PM yesterday, Fox and his team posted this --- ".... Unfortunately my opponent will not be attending this evening, despite saying initially that he would...." That post accompanied dispalay artwork that contained a claim that was actually >>> subscribed by Brian Fox <<< in his own handwriting.....

These are yet other examples of Fox and his team saying just any old things --- without any thought, any content that is correct or truthful, and/or any context to help provide the true meaning of what Fox and/or his campaign should have said about whatever it is or was that they wanted to use against Brannan.

These two desperados are the present and immediately past Brooklyn GOP nominees for local office for Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Bath Beach; Homecrest, and some other contiguous areas.  The one to the right in the photo is Brian Fox, who is now running for the New York City Council; and the one to the left in the picture is Vito Bruno, who last year ran for the New York State Senate.

Both of them were not properly vetted by the Brooklyn GOP after being foisted upon the party by certain Republican Party operatives and the NYS Conservative Party.  Both of these guys had very questionable pasts, both in their personal lives and in their business backgrounds. 

Neither of them is or was ever fit to hold public office. 

There were lot’s of big financial and regulatory problems at the only three places where Brian Fox says that he worked in the investment and finance industry

On one of Brian Fox’s personally-edited business data bases, he listed three of his prior employers as having been in the investment and finance game  ---  and, Boy-O- Boy, did those particular guys ever play that game fast and loose

 
According to Brian Fox himself  ---  they were  “J.P. Turner…” ;  “Legend Securities…”; and “SAC Capital Advisors…”  ---  all three had serious regulatory problems, paid big fines and large damage awards for a variety of mis- and malfeasance  >>>   and some of it was even found to have been criminal

ALL THREE COMPANIES WERE EITHER TEMPORARILY OR PERMANENTLY BANNED FROM DOING MUCH OF WHAT BRIAN FOX SAID HE WAS DOING THERE FOR THEM

PS ---  BRIAN FOX DOESN'T DO ANY OF THAT KIND OF BUSINESS ANYMORE,  EITHER.....

 

Brian Fox says that he worked as an “Equity Trader” at SAC Capital Advisors in Stamford, Connecticut for over two and a half years from February 2008 until August 2010. 

It is very well documented that during the entire time that Brian Fox worked there, the FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York were investigating SAC Capital Advisors and related operations, putting together a comprehensive case against the complex hedge fund management enterprise for a variety of illegal activities going back many years and continuing through 2013, when a federal indictment against SAC Capital Advisors was finally obtained.

In November 2013, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York announced a “Guilty Plea Agreement” with the SAC Capital Management Companies, in which the SAC Management Companies agreed to plead guilty to  >>> all Counts <<< in the criminal indictment, pay $1.8 Billion in fines and restitution, and to terminate SAC Capital’s "Investment Advisory Business."

Brian Fox says that he worked  as an “account executive” at Legend Securities Inx. In New York  City for over two and a half years from February 2008 until August 2010.

At Legend Securities…  it was the following:

A Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) panel ordered Legend Securities, its CEO , and three of the firm’s former brokers to pay almost a million dollars in damages to a single investor. and Legend Securities was expelled by FINRA authority on 2011 and is no longer allowed to operate as an investment advisor.

Legend had been charged with churning, failure to supervise, fraud, various nondisclosures, various misrepresentations, negligence, and breach of fiduciary duty. The amount awarded by FINRA was 100% of what the Legend Securities’ client had asked for.

In another case that had happened around the time that Brian Fox says he had worked at Legend, a FINRA arbitration panel ordered the since-defunct brokerage firm to pay a different client an award of well over a million dollars over similar allegations related to churning by Legend’s investment managers.

Two of the Legend “account executives” who had been banned from the securities investment business were, just like Brian Fox also employed at J.P. Turner Associates. And there was also a third broker, who is no longer in the industry, who was hit with a “three-month personal suspension” by FINRA after he departed Legend Securities. Also like Fox, he worked with several other problem brokerage firms with serious regulatory problems and customer claims for damages and other disputes.

Brian Fox says that he worked as an “account executive” at J.P. Turner & Company in Brooklyn, New York for well over four years from August 2012 until October 2016.

It has been reported that Fox said specifically that he had worked at J.P. Turner between August of 2012 and October of 2016. However, J.P. Turner & Company had been effectively closed by July of 2015 by it’s parent company, over a year before Brian Fox claimed that he had left the company.

The reason “J.T. Turmer…”  had been closed by its new parent was given as “rampant corruption.”  After “J.T. Turmer…” closed, investors had been were warned [by regulators and/or consulting advisors] to avoid bringing over former “J.T. Turmer…” employees, because. “J.T. Turmer…”  was so flagrant in it’s found violations. As a result, they had been  censured numerous times by the SEC, and its SEC license was permanently revoked after its closure,
 
Although there is no documentation implicating Brian Fox in any illegal activities or regulatory discipline at “J.T.Turner…” [or his other two financial/investment business employers, for that matter]   ---   it needs to be noted that Mr. Fox did not get hired by the new owners of that brokerage operation; and also that there were specific acts of wrongdoing that had been found at the “J.T. Turner…” Brooklyn office where Brian Fox says that he had worked  ---  right in Bay Ridge at  9017 5th Ave Brooklyn, New York.
