Two days ago Brian Fox reported that a gun "was found" next to a playground near Fort Hamilton High School --- he liked the story so much that he immediately gave it to the "Queen of the Click" --- and he did two separate promotional vanity videos about it, and posted them on his campaign's social media --- except Brian Fox's videos, and his other info about the incident didn't tell the truth about how this so called "found gun" had gone down at all.....
In other words --- Brian Fox was lying because it fit some campaign narrative devised by Liam McCabe --- AGAIN.....
We are going to have to start calling Brian Fox "The lying sock puppet" of Liam McCabe 100% of the time, if stuff like this keeps up
Here's what really happened according to Jaime DeJesus' report in the Home/ Brooklyn Reporter:
"Cops arrested a 17-year-old boy for allegedly carrying a gun outside Fort Hamilton H.S. Oct. 5.... Cops said a witness saw the boy carrying a .22 caliber revolver in his waistband on 83rd Street between Narrows Avenue and Colonial Road.... Officers arrested the suspect at 1:20 p.m. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree."
Now, this is where it gets kind of hinky. Brian Fox quickly showed up on the scene, while police were still in the process of doing further investigations after making their arrest, and Brian had brought his video team with him to make another video promo for his campaign.... However, what he said, and what was shown on his videos to an unsuspecting public was something cpmpletely different than what actually went down at 83rd Street just below Colonial Road early in the afternoon of October 5th.
Brian Fox made two videos of the "crime scene" and it's surroundings totalling over a minute-and-a half: the first at 2:34 PM; and the second [that he called an "update"] at 2;52 PM.
And there was a statement that Brian Fox also posted at 2:50 PM , accompanied by five still photos of the "crime scene," with Brian Fox smack in the middle of it; "#Gun recovered and cordoned off at Fort Hamilton High School in #BayRidge right now. No arrests have been made at this time. An investigation is underway to see if this gun is related to the multiple #shootings that have taken place in the confines of the NYPD 68th Precinct. I'm beyond outraged that this happened by a school, playground and residential area where our children and families should be safe from #GunViolence."
At the end of the first video, Brian Fox promised updates with more details. No meaningful updates ever came from either Brian Fox or his campaign. Instead, there was a lot of crazy speculation in the comments on the Brian Fox for City Council Facebook site --- none of it reflecting the true facts --- that officers from the 68th Pct., NYPD, had the matter completely under control, made an arrest, completed their "crime scene" investigation, and took a gun off the street.
What isn't mentioned by Fox and his handlers is what really happened >>> Police had been on the scene --- a witness reported that there was a man with a gun --- Police observed a suspect with a gun --- confronted the suspect who dropped the gun --- Police arrested the suspect at the scene --- Police secured the scene with the gun left in situ --- in due course, Police confiscated the gun, which was later displayed on a web page for the NYPD..... but that version DIDN'T fit the Brian Fox and Liam McCabe narrative.....
What it was not is what Brian Fox had repeatedly reported, and have yet to correct >>> a gun was randomely found on a sidewalk near a playground by Fort Hamilton High School..... but that version DID fit the Brian Fox and Liam McCabe narrative. and it still does --- so they let it stand for days now....

In this case, Brian Fox failed to get the facts, but he made a report and made demands as if he had the facts, which he certainly did not.

At 8:45 AM, Brian Fox posted some nonsense about some meaningless police academy track records, but he failed to say anything about NYC's need to make changes to its strategic planning for distasters, emergency services during disasters, changges to infrastructure like utilities and sea walls, etc., all due to radically worsening weather events in and around NYC most likely caused by climate change and other aspects of the global environmental crisis.
Also, please take note: Brian Fox didn't mention anything about any shootings, he just mentioned something about the NYC policen academy track records.

Forget all of Brian Fox's chatter about guns and shootings in and around Bay Ridge and elsewhere. --- Except for trying to use it in his camapign for the NY City Council, Brian Fox couldn't care less about it.....
And there's lot's of proof about that --- in the last few days not only did Brian Fox tell a completely fabricated story about the gun "found" on the sidewalk near Fort Hamilton High School, he never provided any of the real details in a promised follow-up that never came. It was the same story about a month ago when Brian Fox did his own video featuring himself pointing at bullet holes, and even claiming to have been in danger during the shooting in an incident that occurred on 5th Avenu by 87th Street. That time too, there was no follow-up by Fox or his team, even though the NYPD said that they had many leads and there was actual video footage of the shooting.
If Fox and McCabe really cared about any of this stuff, there would have been follow-up. We all know that for both of them there wasn't any of either.
For candidate Fox, follow-up just isn't something that his handlers let him do. SO, WHAT KIND OF REAL INTEREST AND CONCERN DOES THAT SHOW YOU ABOUT FOX, MC CABE, AND THE REST OF THAT CROWD ?????
A crime that Brian Fox never mentioned was what Ed Mullins must have done that caused him to quickly retire from the NYPD, and to resign as the long-time President of the Sargeants Benevolent Association. Whatever Mullins did, it was enough for the US Attorney for the Southern DIstrict of New York and the FBI to get a Federal Court Warrant to raid, search and remove material from the SBA headquarters in Lower Manhattan and Ed Mullins' home on Long Island. The NY Post reported that sources indicated that the offenses invlved wire fraud, mail fraud, and theft of union funds.
