This the second straight municipal election that a Republican-Conservative candidate for City Council for the 43rd Council District has flogged the poor (although wealthier lately) man with what has been called "Asperger's" or autism, Michael Bistreich.....
It seems that Brian Fox and his guru Liam McCabe are willing to try anything twice.....
The one big flaw in their clever plan >>> it didn't work for John Quaglione in 2017 --- and it won't work for Brian Fox in 2021
It also seems that Justin Brannan was wrong when he Tweeted that his opponent had run out of mud..... Justin should have known that, when one is up against bottom-feeders like Fox and McCabe, they suck up old muck like it's a free all-you-can-eat buffet where everything is deemed "fresh" no matter how old and rotten it might really be

SUDDENLY BRAIN FOX IS PRETENDING THAT HE KNOWS THE DETAILS ABOUT THE BISTREICH LAW SUIT --- OBVIOUSLY, ANOTHER ITEM THAT FOX HAS FAILED TO INCLUDE ON HIS RESUME IS HIS GRADUATION FROM A TOP LAW SCHOOL AND HIS YEARS AS A PARTNER IN A MAJOR WHITE-SHOE-LAW-FIRM
Here's what Brian Fox said in his best summation style: "... Just so you know, Justin Brannan’s name is mentioned over times in Michael’s deposition. Besides that, to suggest Brannan did not play a role is to suggest Michael is just making this all up. I don’t tolerate bullying others because they are differen[t].... Don’t worry, the facts are straight. I’m glad you find this torture and abuse to be funny. Here’s a court document since you sadly do not understand the case or are still attempting this sweep this under the rug for Councilman Justin Brannan...." (I never said it would make sense --- it is Brian Fox after all !!!)
What Brian Fox needs to know is that calling something a "court document" by itself doesn't mean very much. More important than that, being "mentioned" in a deposition is not proof of anything --- normal trial objections are "reserved," and can keep lots of what is said by a complainant or anybody else "out of court"; even "objections as to form" can block what has been "mentioned" by a witness, if a proper objection to the question was made on the record at the deposition.....

In an article four years ago, Bistreich specificly indicated that Brannan had been involved in only one incident where he made a joke about Bistreich's checking that the doors were locked --- and Bistreich also made it clear that Brannan had not been named in his lawsuit, because Brannan wasn't one of the really bad people in Councilman Gentile's office.
On the other hand, four years ago, Brannan called Bistreich a liar influenced by those with a political agenda, and it is doubtful that Brannan will change that belief anytime soon --- since that's what the Brian Fox team has obviously done this time around --- only more so.

Here's Fox's latest raving response to somebody that pointed out that Justin Brannan wasn't mentioned in any part of the settlement agreement between NYC, Gentile, and Bistreich: "Your point wasn’t proven.... You don’t have a point.... Yes, the article says Gentile because he was the star of this abuse scandal seeing as how he was the Councilman at the time. Again, Justin’s name is mentioned over 40 times in court documents and had zero reason to lie about this. Believe all victims, unless you like the victims victimizer...."
Also, isn't it odd how comfortable Brian Fox is with a line that those on the "LEFT" love to use in exactly the same kinds of situations --- "... Believe all victims, unless you like the victim[']s victimizer[s]...." (Remember Justice Brett Kavanaugh's Senate Confirmation Hearing ???)
Justin was part of a childish gang of manboys that were caught taunting Bistreich. If Justin has "zero reason to lie" than why not come clean?

Councilman Gentile was the senior member of the chain of command when all this Bistreich stuff went down; and at that time, next in the chain of command was John Mancuso, Gentile's "Chief of Staff."
When Bistreich commenced his lawsuit, he never mentioned Justin Brannan as a perpetrator of any acts relevant to the cause(s} of action in Bistreich's suit.

Justin votes to cut police funding from the city budget by 20%. But now denies it.
Justin is named over 40 times in a successful lawsuit for harassing a handicapped person. But now denies it.
Its time to deny Justin a free ride to city hall.
Brannan denies both those things because both are completely false.
Brannan never voted to cut "police" funding 20% in any budget, ever. In fact, during Brannan's time in the NYC Council, "police" bugets have increased and crime has decreased.
JUstin Brannan was never named in any lawsuit for harassing a handicapped person.
