Non-member of the House Lee Zeldin gets a vote --- and some support for his candidacy if McCarthy is forced to step aside
Kevin McCarthy fails to seal the deal for Speaker for the umpteenth time..... He's been the "NUMBER TWO" GOP man in the House for years, but has never been fully supported for Speaker ever.....
He was forced to step aside once before, resulting in Tim Ryan's becoming Speaker in 2015; and Kevin McCarthy might have to do it one more time in 2023.

McCarthy suffers some slippage in third round of voting on the House floor.
Some of Kevin McCarthy's opponents have been accusing him of squating in the offices of the Speaker of the House after three ballots by the assembled Congress Members-elect failed to elect a Speaker yesterday. That was last done by somebody not elected as the Speaker on January 6th 2021, and it was called "insurrection" at the time and since.
