Well there you go. Anna "practically lived in Brooklyn her entire life" and used to teach school. But in 2023 she lives in Staten Island and is a stay at home Mom. That home being Staten Island. All of a sudden Cape Cod Vito and Manalapan Mike are looking better.

I don't know much about birthin' babies, but it seems to me that Anna has just shown everybody that Ari Kagan and the NY Sunday & Daily News were unfairly attacking her for having three or four kids and raising them the way she chooses living in Brooklyn and Staten Island, instead of living only in Brooklyn, going to work in Brooklyn, and using daycare in Brooklyn.

It is very important to note, that such claims by Ari Kagan related back to an earlier time during the dissolution of the USSR when the evolution of any press freedoms anywhere in the FSU during the post-Soviet era were in their infancy at best. And for Kagan to have exercised any such freedom would have been completely contrary to both his Soviet military training and his Soviet journalistic training, and to the repressive notions against press freedoms held in his native country Belarus, even then a close client state to the Russian Federation emergent in the FSU.....
Even in Latvia, where Kagan said he did his anti-communist journalism at the time he was talking about when later confronted about his possible KGB past --- there was a very divisive atmosphere, and there were significnt controls on reporting and features. Furthermore, there was a completely different tenor to the journalistic product fed to the Latvian-speakers from what the Russian-speakers in Latvia were receiving; and a very real difference between what was allowed from state run outlets compared to those that were privately owned and run; and also between the papers run by the different oligarchs with their varied leanings and loyalties.
Thus far, Ari Kagan has provided no details whatsoever as to any of this and where he fit into it, nor very much else about himself between the time he says he formally left the Soviet "military" --- but before coming to the USA. More important, Ari Kagan has never provided any copies or citations to any of his so-called anti-communist or anti-military journalistic pieces that he allegedly did during those early transitional days from the USSR to the FSU.

The name of former Republican State Senator David Storobin specifically pops up. That bit has a link that leads to a 2013 Tablet Magazine article by Batya Under-Sargon defending Kagan against charges that he was a KGB spy. The next Google result is a Brooklyn Paper article about robocalls saying Kagean was a KGB agent, and that article mentions Storobin too.
