More likely: "SKIMMING LEADER"; "One of Bay Ridge’s hardest working self promoters"; and a big part of Marty Golden's greater fleecing operation (or is that the other way round --- is Marty Golden a big part of Chip Cafiero's greater fleecing operation ???)
And in answer to the second half of my question in my main headline above --- YES, IT IS JUST ANOTHER SCAM !!!
No, this isn't an attack of "SCHADENFREUDE" on my part. I don't take any joy in seeing that anybody had an accident on a moped in Bermuda, especially one that could have had life threatening consequences. But everybody should know that nobody should get anywhere near being a moped rider --- especially in Bermuda.
According to the Home Reporter, "An updated report says that Cafiero had five fractured ribs and that one of the ribs had punctured his lung. He also sustained numerous bruises, according to former State Sen. Marty Golden, a lifelong friend of Cafiero’s.... 'His family flew down to Bermuda to be with him,' Golden told this paper. 'The good news is that he’s going to be fine. But he still can’t leave the island and he can’t take a plane. And he won’t be able to come back by ship until next Friday at the earliest. The real value of this piece of local color "journalism" by John Alexander is that it helps to catalogue a good number (but certainly not all) of the longtime scams in which Chip Cafiero and Marty Golden have had their hands, and more important their beaks.
Of all things, the award from BRAVO for both Marty and Chip was the piece de resistance.
And, OH MY GOD !!! The last line of the article does give away the whole thing as another Marty Golden-Chip Cafiero scam --- "To donate towards Cafiero’s injuries..." --- if you are a big enough fool, you can look up the link yourself.....

The link to Chips fundraiser in the Home Reporter proves there is a sucker born every minute. And from the list of donors it looks like they are born in Bay Ridge. $10,000 already raised in 2 days because according to Chips daughter Bermuda hospitals dont accept insurance. Really ?
Bermuda is not Haiti. It's one of the wealthiest islands outside of Staten Island. Bermuda takes insurance and Chips daughter takes cash. A chip off the old rib !!
Give me a break! Chip must be hurt real bad because he knows very well how to deal in cash, and a lot of his assets are in ready cash on hand.

How does a former Brooklyn GOP Chairman go so down that they can't get involved for 2 years in a row in the two biggest races in his borough, yet claims to be still a leader sort after???
The short answer is that nature abhors a vacuum. However, the need for an Eaton at the head of a strong GOP organization in Brooklyn speaks for itself in so many other ways.
As GOP leaders, Ghorra and Eaton are polar opposites. With Eaton, things were broadly upbeat and improving. With Golden's sock puppet, Ghorra, it's been a series of missteps and stumbles leading to the ignominious crash and burn of the massive double defeat in 2018. In short, what we have now as our Brooklyn Republican Organization is one massive and epic fail.
The destructive and vacuous regime of the Golden-Ghorra era has a chicken-and-egg relationship to a pervasive vacuum of leadership in the Brooklyn GOP at all levels top to bottom. Contrariwise, the era of Eaton's leadership of the Kings County Republican Organization was one of action and expansion, resulting in electoral success across Brooklyn and a recognition of Eaton's leadership around the city and across the state.
The one remaining task for Eaton was the re-integration of the La Guardia Republican Organization in the 46th AD back into the mainstream Brooklyn GOP. At the end, Eaton had completed a long-sought peace with that keystone GOP powerhouse, until Golden and Ghorra were declared to be in sole charge by a court order issued by a judge, whose interests were aligned with those, whose aims were completely alien to a strong GOP anywhere in Brooklyn.
As long as the era of the Golden-Ghorra epic fail continues, there will be a hunger for a return to the halcyon days in the Garden of Eaton.
So 433 the classic strawman approach.
With Eatin the Brooklyn GOP would take over the borough..lol
If he ducks out of Brooklyn's 2 biggest races 2 years in a row while others including CATS supports the Republican in those races, not a good sign

So far Craig Eaton's just staying on the sideline has made his value growe and grow.
By now it should be obvious that Cats is a slushy-speaking cement-head with a few bucks that he will or won't spend on this that or the other political brain-fart?
Cats' support of Nicole is already cooked into the cake, and she's still dead in the water.
If Nicole doesn't get somebody like Eaton on board fast she'll just keep slip-slidin' away in this year's version of the Jerry Kassar follies.
Watch Joey "Salads" become a bigger and bigger problem for Nicole as time goes on.
And Eaton's sitting on his hands will only make his value growe some more.
And for somebody like you, THAT'S really not a good sign.

Hey, I’m one of Chips daughters. I happened upon this post while looking up something for my dad. I get where you’re coming from and I understand your point of view. The truth is a lot of people who appreciate what my dad has done in bay ridge came together and wanted to help him when he had this accident, so they set up the fundraiser. It’s not something he or any of us asked for.
I went to help him down in Bermuda and I personally know that he actually almost lost his life from this accident. He had more complications when he came back home from the accident as well. It’s not your fault for not knowing this, I’m just trying to make my point that this was extremely serious.
Anyways, I’m sorry that you feel some negative feelings towards my dad. Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion. Just saying my peace that I know first hand how much time and effort my dad dedicated to making bay ridge a better place and bringing people together with his events. At times, it was also his job too.
