Just read the Staten Island Advance's recent editorial endorsing Mr. Borelli in his Quixotic Run for Public Advocate --- Like Prego, it's all in there
And as a 'traditional Italian' performer --- he'll be like Jerry Vale, Jimmy Roselli, Vic Damone, Al Martino, Tony Bennett and the three Frankie's, Sinatra, Valli and the "first blue-eyed soul singer" Laine all rolled into one

The most interesting thing in that wonderful and laudatory editorial, is that they clearly appear to suggest that Joe Borelli should run in a primary against fellow Staten Island Republican Nicole Malliotakis.....
The best part is that Conservative Party Chairman Jerry Kassar will have to endorse Joe Borelli outright, possibly give more than one candidate a Wilson-Pakula for the Conservative line, or suffer the absolute humiliation of the biggest opportunity to ballot defeat in the history of New York State politics.

First, I have talked about Borelli and other serious candidates for Congress in the New York 11th CD many times; second, the "SI Advance" has talked about it, most recently in an editorial; third, several leading Republicans in Brooklyn and on Staten Island have talked about it to me, as well as a NYS Conservative or two. (BTW, excuse me for asking, but when did Jerry Kassar actually endorse anybody for Congress in NY's 11th CD ???)
As for some of the other comment makers that said that Borelli has no balls. I can't say one way or the other. However, he doesn't really need any balls, because the people who might want him to run have plenty of balls; and they want to show Kassar that theirs are much bigger than his.

No doubt, when you say "Bob," you are referring to Bob Capano who definitely had a hand in defeating John Quaglione in 2017. Since 2017, Bob Capano has reinvented himself by being the most widely seen, heard and read conservative Republican voice in Brooklyn; in addition to being one of John Catsimatidis' key political operators all around NYC and on the air.
During that same time, Liam McCabe has only partially reinvented himself as some kind of Brooklyn GOP "leader" with strong ties to several consulting operations --- his 2019 foray into the Brooklyn GOP Bi-annual reorganization process did not go well.
Then there is the human Q-ball, John Quaglione. His biggest splash was on the "break" in 2017 --- after that it has been a long series of one scratch after another of substantive failures and PR gaffs. His latest claim to fame is pairing up with Mike Long to jointly cause the Catholic Academies in OLA and St. Anselm's to crash and burn.
But the PR Q-ball did maybe his biggest "break" to date when he announced that the successor Catholic Academy to OLA and St. Anselm's would continue to have declining enrollment, until a few years later when an increase was expected. He only left it up to any sensible person to figure out that what he meant was >>> when Saint Patrick's Catholic Academy, a little ways out the line on Fourth Avenue at 97th Street, has to be shut down in a couple of years <<< .....
Somebody has their "persona non grata" thing breached 180 degrees away from the truth. Everybody in the know in the NYC/NYS GOP wants Craig Eaton to come in out of the cold and clean up the Golden-Ghorra mess in Brooklyn.

Lots of Staten Island Republicans like McMahon as DA and Rose as their Congressman; they didn't like Donovan and they do not like Malliotakis.

The names that Republicans need to stay focused on are Justin Brannan, Andrew Gounardes and Max Rose, who are incumbent elected officials. All this Eaton, Ghorra, Golden, Catsimatidis, Quaglione, McCabe, Capano, Kassar, and Malliotakis, Borelli or Saladino for Congress stuff don't mean a thing until somebody is the GOP candidate for City Council, State Senate or Congress.

Gerry and Fran became obsessed with Nicole’s run for Congress and in turn tried to make Ted Ghorra obsessed with her run and expect everyone else in the Brooklyn GOP to write off every other race to help Nicole. That’s a bad idea what we should doing is convincing Marty to run again make sure every Democrat Assemblyman in South Brooklyn gets a credible challenger and focus on taking back the City council seat from Justin.
