In a letter to the Republican chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, Hunter Biden’s lead lawyer Abbe Lowell has asserted that the two IRS (Internal Revenue Service) whistleblowers are part of a Republican smear campaign to damage President Joe Biden.
However, Lowell's letter appears to be no more than a screed to spread multiple falsehoods to be used by the MSM in an attempt to blunt the effects of the Congressional disclosures about Hunter Biden and the investigation and prosecution of the president son's illegal activities that have dominated the coverage of the Hunter Biden case for more than a week.

"U.S. Attorney David Weiss Confirms ‘Limited’ Authority to Charge Hunter Biden Outside Delaware"
On Friday, U.S. Attorney for Delaware David Weiss confirmed that he had somewhat “limited” authority to charge Hunter Biden in the jurisdictions of Washington, DC, and California. This was a slight concession by Weiss that the IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley, who told Congress the Department of Justice (DOJ) prevented Weiss from bringing charges against Hunter Biden in Washington, DC, and California was at least partially correct.
To get you up to speed if you haven't been following this closely >>> Last Tuesday, the New York Times independently confirmed the whistleblower, IRS Agent Gary Shapley’s statement to Congress by reporting the the DOJ’s normal practices were that Weiss needed to obtain approval and cooperation from the U.S. attorneys in California and Washington, DC, before proceeding with any charges in their respective districts.
After that Times coverage on the issue, House Republicans made inquiries to Weiss; and weiss replied to those queries with this: “If venue for a case lies elsewhere, common Departmental practice is to contact the United States Attorney’s Office for the district in question and determine whether it wants to partner on the case....”
If such requests are denied by those attorneys, Weiss said he could ask for special attorney status to charge Hunter Biden without their participation. “If not, I may request Special Attorney status from the Attorney General....”
Weiss then said, “I have been assured that, if necessary after the above process, I would be granted such authority in] the District of Columbia, the Central District of California, or any other district where charges could be brought in this matter....”
Weiss also added that the investigation remains “ongoing” and that he welcomes any chance to speak with House Republicans “... in more detail, and answer questions related to the whistleblowers’ allegations consistent with the law and Department policy.”
Sounds like Weiss is trying to explain how he can draw a square circle, but nothing about what IRS Agent Shapley said about the meeting where Shapley heard Weiss talk about being blocked in the investigationn and prosecution.
No matter what he says, Weiss needs Garland's cooperation, but Garland says that he is not involved, and knows nothing about what's happening in the case, and Weiss has all of the authority that he needs to proceed in all jurisdictions. Both Garland and Weiss have to testify to the congressional committees about this.

All the pix of Hunter's reckless driving were released by the London-based Daily Mail. The Washington Post reported that a white powdery substance, which later tested positive for cocaine was found in the White House’s library on Sunday. The WaPo story relied upon two unnamed >>> “officials familiar with the matter” <<< as well as a Washington, D.C., Fire Department dispatcher's recording. Many saw "First Son" Hunter Biden leaving the White House two days earlier, while he was headed to a weekend at Camp David with his father, the President, Joe Biden. The President was not present at the White House when the cocaine was discovered; but he did return to the White House on Tuesday.
According to an MSM source other than the Washington Post, a spokesman for the Secret Service Anthony Guglielmi said that >>> “On Sunday evening, the White House complex went into a precautionary closure as officers from the Secret Service Uniformed Division investigated an unknown item found inside a work area.... Preliminary reports indicated that the substance had been found in a "library" in the West Wing of the White House.

956, you are right about this though -- Ari Kagan, was the lone Republican to vote against the whole of the 2024 NYC budget. He voted in lockstep with the City Council's most woke progressive caucus again -- just like when he was a Democrat. Needless to say, Kagan has thus far declined to explain why he failed to vote along with his new GOP caucus, while his opponent in the 2023 election, Justin Brannan, voted along with the overwhelming majority of Republican members of the City Council.

Not only was Arkady Kagan (aka Ari Kagan, Republican candidate for City Council in Brooklyn) a Communist, he was a dedicated Communist State Security Agent for the Soviet Union.
Even now, Kagan proudly admits that he served as an officer and journalist in the Soviet Army. That was in an officer billet which made him the equivelent of a military polical Commissar while he was in the Army.
