Backfill feature ---- For The Record --- Here is what the some media outlets initially reported about where the cocaine had been found at the White House.....

"The highest office! White House guessing game begins after cocaine found in library forced Hazmat evacuation - two days after recovering drug addict Hunter Biden was on the property

Secret Service found a suspicious white powder during a routine round at the White House on Sunday that tested positive for cocaine....  Substance was found in the library, which is open to public White House tours....  Biden was not there at the time of discovery, but he and son Hunter were at the White House on Friday before departing for a long weekend at Camp David"

(See Daily Mail, 7/4/2023   [https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12262549/Secret-Service-preliminary-tests-reveal-COCAINE-White-House-Sunday.html]).

"On Sunday, the discovery [of a bag of white powder] prompted an evacuation of the White House. A preliminary field test by the DC fire department indicated the substance was cocaine....  'We have a yellow bar saying cocaine hydrochloride,' a radio dispatch from the White House said....  Initial reports said the cocaine was found in a reference library, but later reports said it was in “a work area” of the West Wing, which is attached to the mansion that houses the president and his family, the Oval Office, the cabinet room, the press briefing room and offices for staff...." (See The Guardian, 7/5/2023  [https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/jul/05/white-house-cocaine-lab-test]).

"The 'unknown item'... that forced a brief evacuation of the White House Sunday night [July 2, 2023 into 7/3/2023] and drew a hazmat team to the executive mansion initially tested positive for cocaine, according to officials and a dispatch call made that evening....  'We have a yellow bar stating cocaine hydrochloride,' a DC firefighter stated in a radio communication at 8:49 p.m. Sunday....  'Bag it up and take it out,' the firefighter told the hazmat team....  The initial dispatch call stated that the white, powdery substance was found in the residence’s library on the ground floor of the building....  However, officials familiar with the incident told The Post the purported cocaine was found in a holding area in the West Wing that is accessible to both White House staff and guests. DC Fire and EMS did not immediately respond to a request to clarify the discrepancy...."

cocaine on July 2, 2023

Later in the same feature cited above, the NY Post noted that  >>>  "....  The executive mansion was briefly evacuated after the cocaine was found....  An initial test came back positive for the drug, and further testing by the FBI confirmed it was cocaine...."

Also, there was similar coverage indicating the bag of cocaine might have been found in the White House "library" and/or the White House "residence" from the following outlets:

The Mirror/UK  >>>  "White House evacuated after cocaine is discovered in a library by secret service.... The suspicious, white, powdery substance that caused a White House evacuation on Sunday was preliminarily determined to be cocaine, according to dispatch calls....  Members of the Uniformed Division of the Secret Service were conducting routine patrols through the White House on Sunday evening....There wasn't much going on — President Joe Biden was at Camp David in Maryland for the long holiday weekend, and it was a relatively quiet Sunday night at the executive mansion....The Secret Service found it as they scoured the residence's library — a suspicious white, powdery substance....  Agents immediately sounded the alarm and evacuated the building. The D.C. Fire Department was called in, as was a Hazmat team and paramedics.... The “unknown item” that forced an evacuation of the White House has been found to be cocaine, a preliminary test has found.... “We have a yellow bar stating cocaine hydrochloride,” a firefighter stated in a radio communication on Sunday night.... 'Bag it up and take it out,' he told the Hazmat team....  The US Secret Service is still investigating the suspicious substance that prompted the President’s home to be cleared on Sunday....  Spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said more tests will be conducted to confirm that the substance is, in fact, cocaine....  The Secret Service said the agency “does not comment on an active investigation” and declined to comment further. It's unclear what the repercussions will be for the individual or individuals found responsible for the cocaine....  Ultimately, the authorities determined that the substance was harmless and did not pose a threat to anyone inside the building....  Authorities are now trying to determine how the substance got into the White House after a Secret Service agent found the powder during a routine sweep of the premises....  It remains unclear exactly where in the library the cocaine was found or how it was packaged — but authorities said the amount discovered was small...."  (See Mirror, 7/4/2023     [https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/us-news/breaking-white-house-evacuated-after-30344248]).

TMZ   >>>  "Cocaine may have been found inside the White House this weekend -- and it appears to have been discovered in an area that President Biden frequents a lot on the job....  The Secret Service says it discovered a white powdery substance Sunday night in the West Wing during routine rounds. It's unclear where exactly in the West Wing it was found -- but a spokesperson for the agency will only say agents stumbled upon it in a 'work area.'...  The SS rep also notes any notion the substance might've been found in the executive mansion is false. While Secret Service won't disclose where the alleged coke lay, it appears DC's FEMS let the cat outta the bag ... reportedly relaying via dispatch it was in the library...."  (See  TMZ, 7/4/2023  [https://www.tmz.com/2023/07/04/cocaine-found-white-house-secret-service/]).

Lou Dobbs  >>>  ".... [A] Hazmat squad was called to the White House on Sunday evening to investigate a suspicious substance, prompting a brief evacuation. An EMS radio recording stated the substance tested positive for cocaine hydrochloride. The discovery came two days after admitted recovering cocaine addict Hunter Biden was seen at the White House as he and his father Joe departed for a long holiday weekend at Camp David....  Hunter’s drug addiction is being used to grant him diversion as part of a sweetheart deal by the Biden Justice Department on a gun crime that would ordinarily be a federal felony....  Monday night, Newsmax reporter James Rosen broke the news that the suspected cocaine was found inside the White House and not on the grounds as earlier reports indicated....  On Tuesday the Secret Service confirmed to the Washington Post that the substance was found inside the White House and had tested positive for cocaine and was being further tested for confirmation....  The New York Post and the Daily Mail reported Tuesday that the suspected cocaine was found in the library, which is located on the ground floor of the White House...."  (See  Lou Dobbs, 7/4/2-23    [https://loudobbs.com/suspected-cocaine-was-found-in-the-white-house-library-reports/]).
Even Newsweek acknowledged the "initial reports" of the discovery having been in the "library" as follows  >>>  ".... Was It Discovered in the Library?...  Initial reports suggested that the powder was discovered in the West Wing library, which is on the ground floor and is part of the public tour of the building. The suggestion was gleaned from the D.C. Fire Department radio dispatch....  Updates from the Secret Service also stated that it was found in a work area and not the library....  "On Sunday evening, the White House complex went into a precautionary closure as officers from the Secret Service Uniformed Division investigated an unknown item found inside a work area," a USSS statement shared with the press said...." What are the chances that CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News will be reporting, to the sound of re-snorting in the background, that the white powder found in the WH library belonged to a grossly overweight guy from parts unknown, who once was a low-end pro hockey enforcer, and now claims to be a senior executive at something called Phillip Martin Talent Advisors, but whose day job is as a snakeoil salesman?
