UPDATE: FRANK ROBERT JAMES --- ARRESTED IN MANHATTAN --- FACES FEDERAL CHARGES

The alleged gunman suspected of shooting 10 people and leaving at least 19 others injured in the horror attack on a Brooklyn subway has been arrested in Manhattan’s East Village  ---  after being seen at a McDonald's, and on the security cameras of at least one other business there  ---  the arrest was the result of a tip by civilians to the NYPD

Frank Robert James was taken into custody on Wednesday after being on the run for more than 24 hours from the NYPD and other law enforcment authorities.  Mr James, 62, had been named as the only suspect wanted for the Tuesday morning rush hour shooting on a packed N train travelling to Manhattan from Sunset Park and points south and west in Brooklyn  ---  and he now faces a federal terrorism charge in the Federal Eastern District of New York......

The U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York Breon Peace today announced that Mr James, 62, has been charged in Brooklyn Federal Court with one count of carrying out a terrorism attack on mass transit saying, “Yesterday was a dark day for all of us. But the bright spots of the incredible heroism of our fellow New Yorkers helping each other in a time of crisis, the quick response by our first responders, and the hard work by all of our law enforcement partners that has been ongoing truly shines bright.... My office is prepared to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that: On April 12, 2022, in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, in the Eastern District of New York, the defendant Frank James did knowingly and without lawful authority and permission commit an act, including the use of a dangerous weapon, with the intent to cause death and serious bodily injury to passengers and MTA employees on the New York City subway system....  The government will prove, among other things, that James traveled across state lines in order to commit the offense and transported materials across a state line in aid of the commission of the offense....  We are working closely with all of our law enforcement partners at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, FBI, and NYPD. My office will use every tool at our disposal to bring this individual to justice, and restore safety and peace of mind to all....”

Frank Robert James had a long rap sheet  ---  with nine prior arrests in New York and three others in New Jersey

NYC's Chief of Detectives James Essig revealed that Frank Robert James had a long rap sheet in New York City dating back three decades. Mr James had nine prior arrests in New York dating from 1992 to 1998;  and he had been “known to us”, according to Chief Essig.  Those arrests included: four for possession of burglary tools, two for theft of service, one for a criminal sex act, one for criminal tampering and one arrest for an outstanding New Jersey warrant. In New Jersey, Mr James has three prior arrests in 1991, 1992 and 2007 for trespassing, larceny and disorderly conduct.

UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "VERY LATE TO THE PARTY KARIM ELSAMMAK" EDITION

THIS IS REALLY BECOMING "CAPTAIN" KARIM'S STYLE >>> HIS SHOWING UP A DAY LATE AND A POUND SHORT

HIS FIRST MENTION OF THE MONDAY MORNING RUSH HOUR SHOOTING INCIDENT AT 36TH STREET & 4TH AVENUE IN BROOKLYN [WHICH IS VERY LIKELY TO BE WITHIN THE SENATE DISTRICT IN WHICH HE HOPES TO RUN] WAS MORE THAN A FULL DAY-AND-A-HALF LATE..... AND IT DIDN'T ADD ANYTHING TO THE DISCUSSION OF THE EVENT, OR ANY OF THE SPECIFIC POLICING ISSUES THAT IT RAISES

TO BE FAIR, THIS IS WHAT THE KID HAS POSTED ON HIS META-FB CAMPAIGN PAGE:

"Karim4NY... [April 13, 2022, @ 11:30 PM]... We have been following this case very closely. Frank James is indeed in custody however there is still an active investigation by local and federal authorities. For this reason, it is vital that we all stick to the facts and await further information from authorities. There are preliminary reports that Frank James has numerous priors and was previously watched by law enforcement agencies. That of course did not stop him from committing a violent attack on our community and our city. We MUST fix the inadequacies that allowed this act of terror to occur, we must restore law and order, and we must give our law enforcement agencies the tools they need to prevent this from ever happening again. Our campaign will keep you updated as we learn more. #nyc #brooklyn #safety #repealbailreform...."

Karim is providing no details, but clearly he seems to favor an iron-fisted security state, without any constitutional protections for its citizens, and any awareness of the practical needs of running an effective and efficient urban mass transit system.

There isn't much difference between Karim's long past-due, but still platitudinous post above, and Governor Kathy Hochul's vapid speech at the 4th Avenue Brooklyn press briefing not long after the mass shootings underground, not far from that location [which we immediately criticized on this blog on Monday].

Too bad Karim elsammak has no real background, experience, or education in the transportation of people. He has literally worked for a few fly by night airlines, done more 'flying' on computer game like simulators as a kid than real airplanes as an adult, and got a bunch of ersatz certificates and diplomas from 'for profit' trade schools.

His credentials are as phony as those claimed by Brian Fox, as is his claime to being a 'business man'.

All of that shows why Alsammak didn't and couldn't say anything that was responsible and informed about the mass transportation of people in subways that might be done to 'fix the inadequacies that allowed this act of terror to occur', like he said in his statement above.

MORE UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE " 'FILTH' THAT 'LIKED' KARIM ELSAMMAK'S PROTO-FASCIST CALLS TO SUSPEND THE CONSTITUTION LOCALLY BECAUSE OF ONE CRIMINAL ACT" EDITION

THERE ARE PLENTY OF NITWITS AND NUMBSKULLS ALREADY IN KARIM ELSAMMAK'S PEANUT GALLERY THAT WILL QUICKLY POST A THOUGHTLESS "LIKE" TO HIS FAR LESS THAN THOUGHTFUL POST --- LEADING THAT LIST OF AUTHORITARIAN WINGNUTS, INTELLECTUAL PEANUTS, AND MORAL PYGMIES IS THE TOP OF BRIAN FOX'S OWN PERSONAL "FILTH" CADRE >>> MICKEY WEDLOCK <<<

Here are Mickey Wedlock and the others that so stronly wanted to be publically outed as part of Karim Alsammak's own band of "FILTH" >>> who want to live in an iron-fisted security state like Karim Monsour Alsammak's native Egypt <<< WHERE THERE IS NEITHER FREEDOM NOR SECURITY: Mickey Wedlock; Michaele Cascone; Alexander Mason; John F. Manning; Svetlana Zelinskaya; Anthony Michael Gala; Trey Niemyer; Mansour Elsammak; and Brandon Melendez.

UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "VERY BLM- & WOKE-SOUNDING REPUBLICAN CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATE FOR NY STATE SENATE IN BROOKLYN" EDITION

DON'T SAY THAT WE DIDN'T WARN EVERYBODY ABOUT THIS GUY KARIM ELSAMMAK --- BASED ON A RECENT INTERVIEW, IT IS NOW CLEAR THAT HIS USE OF THE TERM "REFUNDING THE POLICE" MEANS "REFORMING THE POLICE" AND "RE-THINKING POLICING" WITH AN EMPHASIS ON MENTAL HEALTH AND DE-ESCALATION

Elsammak's interview on the 'Sunday Sauce" podcast makes it clear that when he talks about "refunding the police" he believes that they need to be reformed and retrained in light of being "in a city that has changed so precipitously over the last several years...." And "... what we must do is introduce new... tactics with an emphasize [sic] on mental health awareness and deescalation...."

Don't let anybody get away with blather like this >>> "As someone that is well travelled, I have seen how other states and countries do this and it’s important to learn from other[s] to improve ourselves...." There can be little doubt that Elsammak is talking about the states with cities like San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Madison, and Chicago in them; or those pillars of law and order in Caribbean and Central American countries where he has told us he has routinely flown.....

Justin has it right. Defund the police.

Anonymous said...

831, your comment is fake news and not a thing, so cut the crap.

Anonymous said...

Justin voted to defund the police budget by 1 billion dollars. That was 20% of the police budget. Then crime went up and justin was brushed to the side for speaker.

Anonymous said...

1055, there was never any such vote, and 20% was never removed from the NYPD budget by anybody. So, like 831, your comment is fake news and not a thing, so cut the crap.

11:54, you are correct.
