Missing the --- BIG STORY --- in Brooklyn Politics

While most Brooklyn GOP and Conservative Party types keep pretending that their brand of Wiffle Ball is the major leagues of Mickey Mantle and  "Say Hey !!!" Willie Mays, or Whitey Ford and Sandy Koufax.....   The real life changing political battles in Brooklyn politics are being fought by the hard-pressed routinely-left Democrat Organization types, and the newer, mostly left-left-left New Kings Democrats

But, this fight isn't just about Brooklyn    >>>  That's becasue NYC's newly elected mayor,  Eric Adams, is both aligned and allied with the existing Brooklyn Democratic Organization, now headed by Rodneyse Bichotte

While trying to get some details about the GOP infighting at the Brooklyn BOE,  and its fallout in this year's Brooklyn GOP primaries, if any;  my contact, who is a Dem wag from way back said  ---  "You and your conservative Republican friends should care more about who is going to be running the Democratic Party in Brooklyn"....

What is at stake is a complete change in Brooklyn politics, and who has run things for more than three generations  ---  when it came to picking judges, picking the Democrat "County Leader" and who runs the Democrat Party in Brooklyn, who runs the individual Assembly Districts in Brooklyn, and who picks the Congrssional and State Senate candidates and how.

With petitioning over, the New Kings Democrats have filed petitions for a little over half of the State Committee (District Leader) slots; but of equal or greater importance, the NKD has several full slates of County Committee candidates ( and almost all of those want significant rules changes to seize the powers now being undemocratically exercised by the "Democrat County Leader");  another fight is in the offing over judicial convention delegates, with the NKD's chance to take over the Democrat Organization's stranglehold on the selection of NYS Supreme Court Justices.

All of that has quickly gotten into fights at the BOE and in the Brooklyn Courts  ---  with serious allegations of forgeries and fraud being levelled at the OBJECTORS for a change.  In the middle of all that are the two lawyers processing the objections on behalf of the Democrat County Organization of Rodneyse Bichotte  >>>  Frank Carrone and Anthony Genovese  ---  who just might be the Democrats' candidates for the Suprme Court in Brooklyn, if the "Brooklyn Democrat Organization" keeps its contol over the process of selection.

Locally, the County Organization is opposing the long-time Democrat District Leader Joanne Seminara, even though she is not allied with the New Kings Dems  ---  not so far anyway.....

There are no Republicans or Repubican news in this, why is it here?

So who is going to be running the democrats? I hear it will be Nydia Velazquez.

That wag sounds very smart. Good looking too.

How does somebody described as 'a Dem wag from way back' sound good looking, unless they are Ralph Perfetto or Sal Albanese? And neither of them is at the Brooklyn BOE.

UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "ROSS BARKAN LENS" EDITION

IN HIS RECENT ARTICLE IN "JACOBIN" --- ANOTHER ONCE UPON A TIME YOUNG DEM WAG FROM BAY RIDGE --- ROSS BARKAN --- IS DESCRIBING THE 2022 DEM WAR IN BROOKLYN IN TERMS OF THE FIGHTS FOR THE ELECTIVE OFFICES BETWEEN THE DSA-BACKED INCUMBENTS AND CHALLENGERS, AND THE CANDIDATES OF OTHER FACTIONS OF DEMS IN BROOKLYN --- HE DOESN'T EVEN MENTION THE "NEW KINGS DEMOCRATS"

ON PRIMARY DAY, THE WAR OF 2022 AMONG THE BROOKLYN DEMOCRAT VOTERS WILL BE A VERY MIXED BAG OF ANGRY CATS, ALL WITH THEIR OWN MIX OF ISSUES, CAUSES, IDEOLOGIES AND ALLIANCES --- AND ALL WITH DIFFERENT BAGS OF TRIX AND LUCKY CHARMS.....

BARKAN SEEMS TO THINK THAT THIS IS THE YEAR THAT THE DSA AND ITS CANDIDATES STUMBLE --- However, MY OLD WAG AT THE BOE THINKS THAT THE YOUNGER LEFTIES HAVE MORE GOING FOR THEM --- AND ALL OF A SUDDEN --- HE IS NOW LEANING A LITTLE LEFT HIMSELF, WHICH SEEMS ODD FROM A PRO-TRUMP DEM

Barkan talked about "endorsements" --- far more important are the alliances with local groups and real activist local leaders.....

Barkan is right to point out that increased rents in NYC will be a big issue in this next Dem Primary --- as big or bigger than increased crime.
