Let's Go Brandon !!!!! No, really..... That phrase might be really meaningful in a completely different way in the 2022 election cycle

If Brandon West really does a run against Robert Carroll, the incumbent Democrat running in a very different re-drawn 44th Assembly District, the repercussions might reach all the way down into the Southwest Brooklyn Districts extending into Bay Ridge

West is a hardcore New Kings Democrat "progressive"  ---  and Carroll is a more traditional "reformer" in the very Twentieth Century mold of the Carroll family of Democrats

Starting at the top of the ticket  >>>  Brando West supports Jumaane Williams for NYS Governor  ---  and it looks like Bob Carroll is for Governor Kathy Hochul

But it gets really interesting in the very north end of the Brooklyn-Staten Island Congessional District   >>>  WOW !!!  That could be especially interesting in the shared election districts in the overlapping new 11th Cong. DIst. and the new 44th A.D.  ---  you know, where Bill deBlasio lives  <<<

In Bay Ridge, the cigar chompin' Dem Boss Brannan ain't the kind of guy to stay out of  neighboring areas  ---  especially if he has some unfinished business with people named "Carroll."

Now, that IS Democrat primary stuff....  But Republicans wouldn't be hurt at all by a bloodbath of Democrat "friendly fire" victims in the 2022 primaries.....

Carroll had the assembly seat handed to him. West is new.

Any truth to Brian Fox publishing a memoir?

UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "MOST MOMENTOUS THING FOR REPUBLICANS' CHANCES IN NYS IN 2022" EDITION

IT DIDN'T HAPPEN IN THE GOP, AND IT DIDN'T DIRECTLY INVOLVE ANY REPUBLICAN RUNNING FOR ANY OFFICE IN NYS IN 2022.....

JUMAANE WILLIAMS WAS OFFICIALLY ENDORSED BY THE WORKING FAMILIES PARTY AS THEIR FAVORED CANDIDATE TO RUN FOR NYS GOVERNOR ON THEIR PARTY LINE IN NOVEMBER 2022

New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams rallied with supporters at Zuccotti Park near Wall Street earlier today as part of his kick-off to a statewide tour in his race for the nomination for governor by the Democrat Party. Williams was joined at Zuccotti Park, site of the original "Occupy Wall Street" protests, by key leaders and members of the progressive NYS Working Families Party (WFP).

Last night, the WFP had formally endorsed Jumaane William's running as their candidate for NYS Governor the night before.

Williams had officially launched his primary bid against Hochul shortly after securing a full-term as NYC's Public Advocate. He has had a long relationship with the most influential third party in New York City and State; and it dates as far back as his first run for the NYC Council, which was more than a dozen years ago in 2009. Williams can be expected to do very much what Cynthia Nixon did in 2018 --- stay on the WFR line all the way through to November. However, Williams did not indicate whether he would remain on the WFP’s line for the November election if he he were to lose the Democratic primary.

Although only enrolled Democratic Party voters can participate in the June 2022 Democrat Primary, this will not be the first time the WFP has endorsed the apparently more progressive candidate in the other party's primary with the goal of forcing all the Democrats' candidates further to the left.

There are approximately 50,000 enrolled voters that are registered with the Working Families Party throughout New York State. However, WFP influence is far greater than what that number might suggest.....

The WFP endorsement of Jumaane Williams might not be a roadblock to Kathy Hochul's chances of being >>> ELECTED <<< NYS GOVERNOR for the first time; but at this time, it certainly would eem to be a very significant speedbump across her path to a November victory or even one in the June primary.....

Andrew Cuomo will be back as Governor. Do you really think a person from Buffalo named Hochul will win?

I never realized how handsome Bob Capano is. I just met him in person for the first time. Leading man material like a shorter Robert Redford in an grocer's apron

Actually, I believe Bob Capano is taller than Robert Redford; I first met each of them a long time ago.

Redford was always jealous of Bob.
