Democrats Dov Hiknd, Simcha Felder and David Greenfield need to be stopped NOW — along with their GOP and Conservative Party “leaders”, supporters, and allies — Craig Eaton and Gerry Kassar

“GOP Growth” in one of the Orthodox Jewish super-communities being turned into a “GOP Cancer” by deals with Democrat politicians

Following a string of hard fought successes in 2010 through early 2012, there was supposed to be a conservative Republican and Conservative Party renaissance occurring in Southwest and South Central Brooklyn. Generally, I am referring to the assembly districts in and around the corridor that is defined by the boundaries of the specially created “Super Jewish” 27th  17th State Senate District where GOP State Senator David Storobin is running hard to hold onto his seat against the Felder challenge. All of that looks like it might be going the way of all flesh, because, instead of what Brooklyn Republican Chairman Eaton calls a renaissance, what has emerged is a pattern of deception and betrayal. Most of that betrayal and deceit is coming out of the current "Bay Ridge-centric leadership" of the Republican and Conservative Parties in Brooklyn.

Just when it looked like Republican and Conservative candidates might be competitive in a new area in Brooklyn, several “deals” were cobbled together to give Republican and/or Conservative Party endorsements to Dov Hikind for the assembly and Simcha Felder for the State Senate seat now held by Republican David Storobin. In a very convoluted pre-primary and primary season, longtime Democrat Assemblyman Dov Hikind started out with what looked like a joint Republican-Conservative endorsement with Wilson-Pakula’s from the respective party chairmen, Craig Eaton and Gerard Kassar. However Hikind lost both lines after petition challenges were made by another Democratic Party candidate, Moshe Tischler. Conversely, Democrat Simcha Felder took the Conservative Party line away from State Senator Storobin after an "opportunity to ballot" Conservative primary. Felder’s coup among the Conservative Party’s voters was clearly engineered with Conservative “insider support”, confirmed and ratified by Kings County Conservative Chairman Kassar’s immediate shift of his endorsement from GOPer Storobin to Democrat Felder.

Hikind and Felder have endorsed each other; and a third Democrat, Council Member David Greenfield is currently associated and aligned with both Hikind and Felder, Greenfield  having endorsed both of them. In 2009, Greenfield was elected in a non-party line election with the open and notorious support of Republican State Senator Martin Golden and Conservative Party Chairman Gerard Kassar. Republican Chairman Craig Eaton’s obvious support for Greenfield in that race was duplicitous and carried out deceitfully by 1) opposing the strongest Republican candidate, Jonathan Judge; 2) inserting and nominally supporting a very weak outsider as the GOP candidate; and 3) directly providing aid to Democrat Greenfield’s election  through CCC PAC, a nefarious rump organization, in which Eaton and several of Eaton’s GOP insiders have been an active cadre.

Further muddying the “conservative Republican” waters is the so-called “Community First” party in the greater Boro Park area headed by the parvenu Republican Nachman Caller, who delivered about 2,400 voters’ signatures, ostensibly gathered from the Jewish Orthodox community in the 48th AD.  According to the so-called  “Republican” Reb Caller, all those who signed “Community First” petitions for Dov Hikind pledged to enthusiastically support the Democrat Assemblyman’s re-election bid.

It is very important that in the 2012 general election, independent Republicans, who see and/or call themselves social and family values conservatives, do everything that is necessary to oppose, and hopefully break-up, the Republican and Conservative Party deals to elect Democrats Hikind and Felder.

It is the 17th Senate, not 27th.
