Either of those possible results would have been a great swan song for the GOP in Brooklyn (of course with three better than two).....
And then, Ted Ghorra would have been remembered as a wothy successor to Craig Eaton. Why, Ghorra would have been elevated to the top of the Brooklyn GOP Pantheon, along with the great Edmund Seergy, and the man Seergy replaced, the great Johnny Crews. Instead, Ted Ghorra will get to keep the Fred Pantaleone Cowardly Lion Trophy for the rest of his days walking on this earth as one of the undead, trying to steal some semblance of life from the living.
However, it was less Ted Ghorra's fault than those who put him his place --- and kept putting him in his place --- and kept putting him in his place..... And of course, their useful idiot step-children, Liam McCabe & Brian Fox, and to a lesser extent Mark Szuszkiewicz.
Q and Capano have a long track record of losing. Losing bad.
If you combined Q and Bob vote they still never came as close as Fox.
John came within four hundred votes of beating Justin when Justin was pretending to be a moderate and friend of law enforcement. Bob came within a few hundred votes of getting the full 1% of the vote instead of less than 1% he is know for. Bob barely came ahead of Lucinda in the primary so there’s that.

Brannan had also been running for speaker before dropping out to back Adams and persuading his loyal supporters to do the same. Being named to that perch would suggest his importance to the new leader.
