So far none of the news coverage has focused on what Marty Golden's role in the Bay Ridge pro-police demonstrations actually was --- or the real reason why he was doing it --- with Marty there is always the ulterior purpose.....
However, it was clear that Marty was there in the second rank egging on the "first responders" in the front row --- after all, for certain purposes Marty is just one pathetic disabled mess because of his OTJ Injury.....
What is interesting is that many of the folks on the Golden side of the "Thin Blue Line" were the unruly trouble-makers when the confrontations flared between the pro-coppers and the very well disciplined folks from "Black Lives Matter"
Just so people understand, the BLM folks will be back --- and there will be more of them next time, maybe lots more --- Marty's antics have jeopardized all his neighbors in the blocks just north of Fort Hamilton High School --- how much police protection will they get when BLM comes to demonstrate on Marty's block in front of Marty's house ??? Will Marty come out to stop them when they try to do a BLM "Street Mural" in yellow paint in front of 85 80th Street --- and what will happen to anybody among Marty's neighbors on 80th Street, Narrows Avenue or Harbor View Terrace that dares to try to defend themselves when the cops won't defend them ?????
I just can't wait to hear the pathetic spin the Brooklyn GOPers and the Kassar-istas try to put on this one. There just ain't enough lipstick to make this pig look good.
Let me be clear about this, today's Bay Ridge pro-cop demonstration was a bad idea, badly executed..... What next, torchlight parades ???

I just watched really shocking video from a rally to support the NYPD which was held in Dyker Heights earlier today. Apparently some of the protesters were outraged by the presence of Black Lives Matter counter-protesters and decided to rip signs out of their hands as well as hurl violent, racist, sexist comments at them—including calls for the women to get raped. I am aghast to see such hateful behavior displayed towards the women of our community and condemn the remarks in the strongest possible terms."

Gale I agree with you often but you are wrong on this one. How long was Bay Ridge supposed to stay silent? They had FOUR marches through Bay Ridge calling us racists and all sorts of nasty things. They were shutting down business any time they felt like it. That's not what we're about and I'm glad everybody stood up to these thugs. They were banking on a propaganda win but it backfired. Bay Ridge people of every color creed nationality said they had enough. Good for everybody that was there to fight back anybody who wasn't there STFU.
Maybe 12:17 is completely clueless, but Bay Ridge does have more than its fair share of people who are, shall we say, less than racially enlightened.
You don't need to go to a rally to see that.
Any block party, christening, or a night out at the Black Kettle will teach you everything you need to know about racial harmony in Bay Ridge.
