"Joint Statement" * by the Brooklyn GOP and the Conservative Party --- Just think about those two words, "Joint Statement"

When he was Brooklyn GOP County Chairman,  Craig Eaton would often describe his opponents, adversaries and/or enemies as  >>>  "PATHETIC" <<<

When he was Brooklyn GOP County Chairman,  Robert DiCarlo would often describe his opponents, adversaries and/or enemies as  >>>  "PYGMIES" <<<

Now that the Brooklyn GOP County Chairman is Ted Ghorra, there are no worthwhile descriptions of his opponents, adversaries and/or enemies.....

Instead, we get the "Full Monty" treatment of something called a "Joint Statement"*  ---  and I do mean the use of the term "Full Monty" as in "The emperor has no clothes"

* The full title of the "Joint Statement" is as follows:  "Joint Statement...  Brooklyn Republican & Conservative Parties...  Concerning Past Weekend's Events in Dyker Heights and Bay Ridge and Elsewhere"

I wish I had a bucket of puke to throw on these guys myself.....

So this is the way the world ends...  not with a bang but with a whimper.....

In one fell swoop,  we have the Brooklyn Republican Party signing itself over to the Conservative Party --- lock, stock and barrel;  and without missing a beat,  the newly merged Conservative-Republicans throw in the towel once and for all,  after the fiasco of dueling  "BLM<->BLM" demonstrations over this weekend.

Make no mistake, this "Joint Statement" is nothing but a sugar-coated "Mea Culpa":  "Oh, please - please - please,  forgive us we were only trying to do something good and nice and warm and yummy  ---  NOT BRING CONFRONTATIONS,  RIOTS AND MAYHEM RIGHT UP TO YOUR FRONT DOORS ALL AROUND BAY RIDGE, DYKER HEIGHTS  AND ELSEWHERE.....

According to the "Joint Statement"  >>>  Don't believe what you saw and heard for yourself, either in person or on video;  or what might have gotten from what was reported on almost every news outlet, including Fox News and the NY Post  >>>  the Conservative-Republicans weren't responsible even though they organized what was supposed to be the main event.  >>>  First off, things really weren't as bad as people said, ot was pretty much mostly peaceful and orderly, sort of.....   >>>  All the bad stuff was done by somebody else  [maybe, Marty Golden looked like he was instigating things,  but forget about that too ]  ---  the Conservative-Republicans pro-cops were nothing but victims here  >>>  nasty people said nasty things to us,  and were throwing stuff like puke at us  >>>  so we HAD to defend ourselves [when the cops wouldn't defend us the way that we wanted ].....

Don't believe me, see for yourself.  The so-called "Joint Statement" follows below.....

Joint Statement
Brooklyn Republican & Conservative Parties
Concerning Past Weekend's Events in Dyker Heights and Bay Ridge and Elsewhere
This past weekend’s rallies and protests in Dyker Heights and Bay Ridge (and in other parts of our city) saw both the best and the worst of our shared civic life. Given some of the heated rhetoric and some mistruths being dispersed by others, including certain of our local elected officials, we thought it very important to share the facts surrounding events this past weekend without political spin and without partisan rancor.
Recent events - citywide, statewide, and nationally - have pushed discussions about police procedures and accountability to the forefront of news. Debate is always healthy and, without question, there is a universal desire for improvement in all community relations.
Sadly, voices supporting police - and in opposition to what some consider attacks on common sense public safety policies - are wrongfully being labeled hateful and regressive by those who simply do not agree.
The fact is that those who organized and/or marched in support of first responders were of very diverse religious backgrounds, political backgrounds, races, genders, ages, including clergy, accountants, lawyers, fireman, teachers, community volunteers, coaches, grandmothers and grandfathers, small business owners, car service drivers, medical professionals and more. In fact, one of the two rallies was principally organized by middle eastern business owners who wanted to show their support to the NYPD and who sought broader support. Yet, elected officials, their staff and others throw blanket and untrue disparaging statements around as if their words do not matter. Simply stated, it matters and this is wrong, especially against your own constituents solely because you disagree on certain issues.
Regarding Saturday's rally, we denounce - plainly and strongly - any hateful language that came from the few (who had no connection to the event organizers) who had responded to the counter protesters. It was unacceptable and we categorically denounce anything like that.
Conversely, we call on our local elected officials, and selected members of their staff, to unconditionally make an unqualified apology for and denouncement of those labeling thousands of their constituents, as racist. They should know and act better than that, as it could not be further from the truth. Additionally, they need to unequivocally and immediately denounce the counter-protesters not only for their of the words - but the much worse vile actions that were taken by them against those participating in the support of the NYPD, which included such action by those who: (1) threw buckets of body fluids (including vomit) onto those marching in support of police - an especially vile act considering the current public health crisis; (2) physically assaulted those marching in support of police, including women with children; (3) threw eggs, rocks, bricks and shot paintballs at otherwise peaceful marchers, and (4) made crude & blanket disparagements of South Brooklyn neighborhoods.
Much of the coverage of these events did not include many of the above occurrences, which is unfortunate. Again, we call for civility and a recognition for diversity of views. The largely one-sided viewpoint and instigation needs to stop for the sake of all our communities - now. For example, no one in these communities organized simultaneous counter-protests against, e.g., those burning the flag, calling for the destruction of America and our law enforcement community - as hateful as that actually is.
All families, children, grandchildren, friends and neighbors across all communities deserve much better than they are getting. We do not and should not pick our friends solely by their political viewpoints, and for our electeds and their staff to call it divisive to show one's support of our law enforcement, their city and country is entirely unacceptable. Rather, the rallies were a call for support for one of the most diverse police forces in the country, who by and large do an outstanding job in the face of a variety of challenges, and whose abolition or further curtailment will no doubt lead to much higher crime rates - as we are already seeing. Crimes and crime rates directly affect people of all backgrounds, they are not just statistics.
We want to see all communities have safe streets, safe parks and playgrounds, more school choice, better quality of life, lower taxes, fares, tolls, a more affordable city, more friendly business environment for small and bigger businesses alike, better and more equal support of all teachers and educators (whether they are in a public, private or religious school system) and much more.
Call it as you like, but we the people largely live, work and play peacefully and quietly together. Let's improve on that and share ideas - not demonize, agree to disagree - not disparage, allow assembly and freedom of thought - not trying to quiet those around with whom you may disagree. We can agree to disagree on issues, absolutely, but to disparage so many who give endlessly and tirelessly for their communities and all people of all backgrounds is wholly unacceptable.
Thank you

Look at that  >>> UNSIGNED <<<

What a bunch of chicken shit  ---  these new Conservative-Republican guys are truly  "PATHETIC PYGMIES"  ---  they need to be covered in puke and piss and shit.....  Wait a minute, they just did that to themselves with their "Joint Statement"

Didn't anyone have mind to maybe edit this statement? Did they legiterally need 6,000 words to say: "we know we were responsible for race riots"? This is a Public Relations nightmare for John Q and his employer Desales Media Corp.

BLM and DSA joint statement for Rose is better?

Joint statement? Anyone who "organized" these events was clearly high.

UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "THIS JUST GETS BETTER AND BETTER " EDITION

SO, NOW THE CONSERVATIVE-REPUBLICAN BAY RIDGE-DYKER HEIGHTS BATTLING PRO- & ANTI- BLM/ COPS LIVES MATTER TOO DEMONSTRATIONS ARE NATIONAL NEWS AND >>> NICOLE MALLIOTAKIS AND FRAN VELLA-MARRONE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STORY

WOW !!! GREAT PR FOLKS.....

Here's the latest in Time Magazine: "Pro-police demonstrations began on Saturday in the Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights neighborhoods of Brooklyn. A Saturday morning demonstration was dubbed 'Rally to Back the Blue' and a Sunday march was called 'We Support The NYPD.' Posters and flyers promoting the rallies had been circulated online in the neighborhood in the days prior.... New York state assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis, who is challenging Democratic Rep. Max Rose for his seat in Congress, described herself as 'leading the charge' at the Saturday event. Brooklyn Conservative Party chairwoman Fran Vella-Marrone was also in attendance. Vella-Marrone later appeared to share a tweet from the Brooklyn Conservative Party which described the event as a 'Very important show of [ ]support for NYPD,' but 'NOT a protest.' The message continued to claim that it was counter protesters who, 'brought ugliness to a positive community event for all people.'..." ( See "Pro-Police Agitators and Black Lives Matter Protesters Clash in Brooklyn" by Josiah Bates, 7/13/2020. Time/ US/ Protests [https://time.com/5866336/police-supporters-black-lives-matter-protesters-brooklyn/]).

The Time article ended with this: ".... (It was at the Sunday rally where the viral video was filmed of a Black man being shoved, tased and arrested by an officer.)... City Councilman Justin Brannan, who represents southwest Brooklyn, said that the pro-police march was organized under the 'guise' of showing support for the NYPD, but in reality, it was a 'political stunt designed to divide our community.'... 'The actions I saw directed at a small group of peaceful counter-protesters was vile, reprehensible and left me ashamed,' Brannan said in a statement. 'Saying Black Lives Matter is not racist. It is not anti-white or anti-police. It does not imply hatred or violence against anyone. It’s about promoting equal justice and fairness. Most of our community understands that.' ”

Here's some insider news. SHHH! Nobody is supposed to know.

The Joint Statement stuff about the puke was all because of Marty Golden's whining about being hit with the stuff himself. It was only a little bit of it, but Marty was all ballistic that he was specifically targeted and all.

Too bad whoever threw the puke wasn't a better shot if Marty was the target.

Some asked if the puke might actually have come from somebody on the pro-police side of the dividing line, because what little there was seemed to only be on Marty's back.

Anonymous said...

Marty's Charm School never offered guidance on puking. He has only himself to blame.

Never heard of dicarlo and neither do voters.

The voters support the Police, Nicole, Vito. That's what will matter in November.

Justin, Andrew, Max, FBBR, RFBR, the BR Dems, and their BLM and DSA allies are winning the battle of the streets in 2020 just like they did in 2018. And on election day 2018 was the day the music died for what was left of the Brooklyn GOP and their friends in the Connie Bird Party.

Wake up and smell the coffee, the Dems have won over the people and the GOP and Con-cons have nothing left in the tank, but songs about dead confederate war heroes, their dogs dying, their pickup truck breaking down and their wives leaving with some traveling salesman or Jai Alai player.

This weekend was the death rattle of a former right-wing stronghold and Marty is the Nuestra Señora de la Santa Muerte

The schmuck standing right next to Marty before breaking through the police line got outed as a disgraced ex cop who is now a Colombo associate. Maybe we should just skip the pleasantries and nominate Carmine Persico for Senate. Tanned! Rested! Dead!

RESPONSE: THE "EVERYBODY HAS GOOD IDEAS --- WHAT A BUNCH OF FREDOs !!!" EDITION

TO ALMOST ALL OF THE RECENT COMMENT MAKERS ABOVE

SOME OF YOU AGREE, SOME OF YOU DISAGREE, SOME A LITTLE BIT OF BOTH --- BUT TO ONE IN PARTICULAR, LET ME RESPOND IN TYPICAL BENSONHURST STYLE >>> "I'M NOT CHICKENSHIT, YOU'RE CHICKENSHIT....." <<<

It's not about the egg or puke on somebody's shirt that matters, it's about egg all over the faces of Golden, Kassar, Ghorra, Vella-Marrone, Vito Bruno and Nicole Malliotakis. The "Silent Majority" prefers being >>> SILENT <<< AND NOT ON THE EVENING NEWS.....

The "Look at me - look at me" crowd completely misplayed this; and the new BR Dems establishment is going to take their lunch and lock them in their locker over it.

Just you wait and see all the GOP-Conservative heroes behind this will wind up taking a Kaepernick Knee on this one before it's over; or they will have a George Floyd-type knee to their throats for eight minutes and forty-six seconds if they resist.

AND TO BLM --- just paint "Black Lives Matter" in front of the Bay Ridge Manor --- DON'T BURN IT DOWN --- that's exactly what Marty G. and the whole G. family want.....

Conservatives and law enforcement have seriously misjudged the current mood in this country.

Saying that cops shouldn't (or won't) do their jobs 100% unless they are free to beat, gas, and kill people (of any color) makes clear how little coppers have changed in the last 50 or 75 years.

Those 400 NYPD officers who put their retirement papers in? Good riddance.

A joint statement from GOP & Con party has appeal to GOP & Cons. The statement was not designed to appeal to the same 4 people who voted for capano and post comments on this blog in support of left wing causes.

Gale has Golden derangement syndrome and is siding with the wannabe hipster progressive who dream of living in a neighborhood that is not anything like where they actually live. Fact is hundreds of people from Bay Ridge of every kind of background you can think of came to support the police, they outnumbered the Antifa professionals by several hundred for hours. They stared down professional rioters and got the best of them until it was dark. And for the record this has nothing to do with the Brooklyn Republicans or Conservatives because they all punked out except for Marty Golden. Andrew and Max ran and won as moderate middle of the road Democrats, and all the bullshit the leftie wackos post on here as they pull it to Bernie videos don't hide the fact that almost nobody on the Antifa side was from Bay Ridge,or anywhere nearby. The pro police was all Bay Ridge people.

RESPONSE: THE "BIG PICTURE" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 2:46 PM"

I DIDN'T KNOW THAT I WAS SIDING WITH ANYBODY --- EXCEPT FOR MYSELF.....

I DON'T KNOW IF YOU KNOW ME --- BUT I DO KNOW THAT YOU DON'T GET ME.....

"Hate Marty..." --- "Golden derangement syndrome..." --- "... in support of left wing causes...." You and comment makers like you live in a world of cliches and superficiality.

Why would my situation vis a vis Marty Golden be personal in any way ??? In fact, he was always very respectful and solicitous to somebody especially close to me throughout her life and even after --- and that was well into the time of my feud with Marty. And on a personal level, that is probably at the top of my list of important things -- and that is all on the good side of the ledger. And generally speaking, most of the personal stuff is on the plus side of the ledger, as far as I'm concerned.

As for whoever says that what I am doing is in pursuit of "what[ever] kind of racket if any [I might] have going with Councilman Fat Ass..." or "... in support of left wing causes"; I beg to differ.

If I were to say that "A" - "B" - or "C" were winning and that "X" - "Y" - or "Z" were losing at anything --- it would not imply any support by me, one way or the other..... And if I were to criticize one side or the other; again, no support would be implied.

As for not being there --- true enough; however, I think I have more of "The Big Picture"
than you do. I saw lots of videos and I also spoke to eyewitnesses from several of the hot spots around Bay Ridge --- so I am confident that my reports and opinions are well informed.....

The rallies and the marches last weekend looked bad for everybody. Nobody came out smelling like roses but their was no violence in Bay Ridge until Gerry and Nicole decided to stage a pro-cop rally for her campaign. These are indisputable truths.

Joint statement? It reads like a manifesto.

Word on the street that another crew of Colombo-connected wannabes was at the Back the Blue rally in Bay Ridge and getting physical and one of them was a paroled drug dealer.

BACKFILL & BACKGROUND: THE "COLLEEN GOLDEN" EDITION

WHEN IT COMES TO THE GOLDEN FAMILY, SOMETIMES, SOME PEOPLE'S WORDS NEED TO BE SEEN TO BE BELIEVED.....

I WON'T CHARACTERIZE WHAT IS PLAIN FOR EVERYBODY TO SEE

This is from Colleen Golden's social media: ".... Bay Ridge is becoming a war zone, because of our politicians who sit back, don’t stop anything and then voice their opinion about how disturbed they are. The[y] are not leaders! Also remember that many BLM people were bay ridge people. For instance, Linda [S]arsour. This is what we are deal[ing] with. Time for all people to take back our neighborhoods and help our police. Never have I seen anything like this. It’s disgraceful."

Anonymous said...

Sounds like Colleen is on board with Marty's return to the city council.

Anonymous said...

300 people shot in New York in last few weeks. Maybe Max rose will run for Mayor.

Anonymous said...

The only politicians who "sat back" while violence raged were Nicole and Marty and Jerry Kassar. It took them 72 hours to condem the violence! Now they are trying to blame it on Max Rose and Brannan.

Anonymous said...

508, sounds like Colleen Golden is on board with Marty Golden's responsibility for what happened over the weekend. After all, she did say that "... Bay Ridge is ... a war zone, because of our politicians who... voice their opinion about how disturbed they are. The[y] are not leaders! This is what [the Golden family] are deal[ing] with.... Never have I seen anything like this. It’s disgraceful."

Anonymous said...

The Conservatives light the match here and it blew up in their face
They hijacked a pro-NYPD rally and turned it into a Nicole campaign kick-off and things exploded in the worst way. Even Colleen Golden knows it.

sounds like Colleen just outsmarted Andy and Max.

UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "MORE FROM MARTY GOLDEN'S DEAD-ENDERS" EDITION

LOOK AT THIS BILGE FROM ANOTHER FORMER COP AND GOP "LEADER" IN BAY RIDGE

This on Brian Doherty's social media:
"In just three short years, Councilman Justin Brannan and Senator Andrew Gounardes have taken an idyllic peaceful oasis and gem of a neighborhood where neighbors would gather at summer concerts and enjoy summer strolls on 3rd and 5th Avenues and transformed it into an irreparably polarized tinderbox, preyed upon by masked vandals and arsonists who assault our elderly neighbors, throw eggs at the police, burn the American flag and set fires in our already struggling and largely shuttered business strips while desecrating our Churches.... These are the people that Brannan and Gounardes have invited into Bay Ridge and these are the people they count as their supporters.... Take a look at these two pictures and remember that all that stood between them was three short years and a handful of votes...."

Again, we are supposed to believe what Brian Doherty tells us and not what we've seen with our own eyes and heard with our own ears.

Remember, it was the Brooklyn GOPers --- people just like Brian Doherty --- that decided to take to the streets in Bay Ridge last weekend with a pro-cop rally. WHAT DID THEY THINK WAS GOING TO HAPPEN ???

Anonymous said...

Doherty is one of those social media disasters waiting to happen. His inability to refrain from elevating cops above the citizenry, above the law, and above everything else in American life, will be his downfall.

Watch and wait, he's going to say something truly stupid (beyond his normal stupid, that is) on social media, and be outed nationally as a local Repub leader, at the worst possible time for Repubs.

He can't help himself, and Marty won't rein him in.

Anonymous said...

Another pro-police demonstration in Brooklyn and another outbreak of violence. The Brooklyn Bridge confrontation was initiated by the pro-cop demonstrators and exacerbated by the police shielding the the pro-cop demonstrators.

Today makes 3 protests that Golden, Malliotakis and Bruno have attended where violence erupted and blood was spilled.

Chatter around the water-cooler this week is laying alotta blame at the foot of the 68 Precinct and their new Commander who has never had to deal with protest like this. They looked like the Keystone Cops on Sunday. Marty G was giving orders to White Shirts like a retried General. Nicky Greek Salads was there looking like a schlub. Kepi and The Albanian Mafia were punching Girls in the face and then on InstaGram saying they were looking to "break some black kids heads in". It was a proud moment for Bayridge. One for the yearbooks! The Marty Golden Republican Party is officially DONE. Sunday was their political waterloo
