According to Denis Slattery's report in today's Daily News, "[Some Brooklyn] residents are skeptical of [Vito] Bruno’s claims and his transformation from clubland impressario to Trump-backing conservative.... 'Vito Bruno doesn’t represent "law and order," he represents the exact opposite—a return to the bad old days... Only a man who believes he is above the law openly discusses how he’s broken it.'... Bruno brushed off concerns from neighbors about his past, which includes hosting unpermitted 'outlaw' parties that raged into the morning hours at defunct and derelict sites across the city, hiring known gang members to work the soirees, along with multiple sordid claims he now refutes...." VITO BRUNO FINALLY MAKES HIS ADMISSION
This two paragraph passage was the most telling in the whole Daily News article: ".... 'They’re going back 40 years to find stuff and you know what I think they’re wasting their money on that stuff because it’s all been published,' he told the Daily News. 'They keep going back to 40 years ago, I think none of us are the same as we were 40 years ago.'... In 1983, Bruno implied in an interview with the New York Times that he gave large sums of cash to cops at Christmas to turn a blind eye to his activities. In a book about actor John Belushi, journalist Bob Woodward notes that Bruno told him he 'would get drugs' for the Saturday Night Live star...."
When similar charges were made here on this blog, Vito Bruno and his supporters vehemently denied them --- when confronted by the News with the same stuff, Vito Bruno finally fessed up.....
So, NOW he's no longer an outright liar, NOW, Vito Bruno is only a bald-faced hypocrite when it come to law and order.....

A CASE LIKE THE ONE AN ACTING U.S. ATTORNEY HAS BROUGHT AGAINST A QUEENS PRIEST NAMED FRANCIS HUGHES, THE PASTOR OF ST. PANCRAS CHURCH IN GLENDALE, WAS NO LONGER SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN IN BISHOP DI MARZIO'S DIOCESE --- AT LEAST THAT'S WHAT BISHOP DI MARZIO HAS REPEATEDLY TOLD US
According to multiple reports in newspapers, on-line and on TV, a priest in Queens was arrested today by the FBI, and accused of sending sexually explicit photographs to a teenage young male. Father Francis Hughes is pastor at St. Pancras Parish in Glendale; he is also charged with receiving images of child pornography via text from the 15-year-old, who lives in Westchester.
Acting U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss said, “The allegations against Francis Hughes are chilling and frightening to any parent. A person who, by the nature of his profession, is presumed to be trustworthy allegedly victimized a child. Thanks to the FBI, Hughes now faces a serious federal charge....”
An important part of the criminal complaint against Father Hughes indicated that he admitted to FBI agents that he knew the teen was underage and that he did send the pictures and messages to the teen.
