A class action can work for the church. If a case is certified by a court as a class it can provide the church light the at the end of the tunnel. A class with the threat of bankruptcy is a formula for cleaning up the mess and getting back in business.

Meanwhile up in the Buffalo Diocese, people are saying that DiMarzio's former top guy tamping down on the priest sex scandal, Albany Bishop Scharfenberger, probably won't be able to fix very much. Politicians buy ads in KCP, and then the owner writes puff pieces about them. Or doesn't write about them when that is more advantageous to their public images.
The exception is that no civilians read the KCP, just political insiders. So if it's voters that pols are trying to impress, they ought to go elsewhere.
