New charge against Bishop DiMarzio --- On his watch in Brooklyn and Queens the coverup of sexually abusive priests continues

A former priest and sex abuse victim says that  “Bishop DiMarzio and the Diocese of Brooklyn are evading [giving] a full account of priest perpetrators in the Diocese of Brooklyn….”

In a related report,  the same former priest and sex abuse victim stated that DiMarzio and  >>> his protégé <<< the current administrator of the Diocese of Buffalo,  Albany Bishop Edward Scharfenberger,  are still using "the old Canon Law playbook" to keep a lid on all the facts of the current priest pedophile problem in Buffalo

The numbers just don’t come close to adding up  ---  The Brooklyn Diocese headed by Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio says that there have been 114 abusive priests removed from their clerical duties; however, the Brooklyn Diocese has admitted there have been active investigations against 142 priests  ---  nobody has attempted to relate those two categories or explain any overlaps or inconsistencies

The responses from the Diocese of Brooklyn and the Diocese of Buffalo to the questions raised by the former priest and sex abuse victim, James Faluszczack, were completely evasive and non-responsive

According to a report on CBS-NewsRadio 880 ,  The Brooklyn Diocese has admitted there were 114 abusive priests removed from the clergy, but there have been active investigations against 142 priests….  “Bishop DiMarzio and the Diocese of Brooklyn are evading a full account of priest perpetrators in the Diocese of Brooklyn,” said James Faluszczak, a former priest who was abused as a child….  Faluszczak says he’s suspicious about DiMarzio’s handling of the sex abuse investigations, especially since the bishop himself was also accused of abuse….  Faluszczack says he’s mostly concerned about a report looking into clergy sexual abuse in Buffalo conducted by DiMarzio….  ‘We contend that Bishop DiMarzio is also withholding information that he is aware of from the diocese of Buffalo,’ he said….  A spokesperson for the Brooklyn Diocese says the bishop is not sitting on the report and added that all abuse claims go before a review board….”  (See “Brooklyn Bishop DiMarzio Accused Of Ignoring Some Sex Abuse Claims”  by Peter Haskell,  12/10/19,  CBS NewsRadio 880  [https://wcbs880.radio.com/articles/news/brooklyn-bishop-dimarzio-accused-of-ignoring-abuse-claims]).
Meanwhile from a similar source in Buffalo was the following report:  Clergy sex abuse survivor James Faluszczak is urging more transparency from diocesan officials and specifically called out Buffalo's Apostolic Administrator, Edward Scharfenberger, to release information that he knows about abuse in Western New York….  Faluszczak, a Western New York resident who has long railed against the Diocese of Buffalo for its handling of clergy sex abuse, called on Scharfenberger to unveil information about the internal investigation conducted by Brooklyn Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio into Buffalo. DiMarzio concluded his report last month….  'Bishop Richard Malone recently resigned and was forced out of the Diocese of Buffalo,' Faluszczak said Tuesday in Brooklyn. ‘Bishop Scharfenberger, this protege of Bishop DiMarzio, is presiding over the same cover-up.’…  ‘Will he finally give to the good people of the Diocese of Buffalo a full public account of the number, the nature, and the location of clergy sexual abuse in Buffalo?’ Falusczak asked….  Scharfenberger became the temporary leader of the Diocese of Buffalo on December 4 following the resignation of Richard Malone as bishop. Falusczak said that he's personally found the Albany bishop to be approachable but criticized him for following the same 'playbook" of canon law'....”  (See  “Abuse survivor calls out Diocese leader for alleged cover up -- James Faluszczak wants answers from Edward Scharfenberger”  by Mike Baggerman,  12/10/19,  WREN 930AM   [https://wben.radio.com/articles/abuse-survivor-calls-out-diocese-leader-for-alleged-cover-up]).

Q is on it.

Anonymous said...

Child molesting priests is not exactly news.

Anonymous said...

I'm sure Q will get to work on a press release once he is done clicking refresh on his 2 year petition to get more cops to patrol his private block

Anonymous said...

Q is defending pedophiles while closing local parishes. Great.

Anonymous said...

Who is Eaton?

Anonymous said...

Word is that Malliotakis's friend with the Colombo crime family is gonna rat.

There are no stand-up guys in Brooklyn or Staten Island anymore. It's Fredos all the way down with Gerry and Ted.

Anonymous said...

Give Quaglione a break. How can you expect him to get a real job at his age?

Anonymous said...

DiMarzio says 114 priests have been transferred from duty. Sounds impressive at first. But is this just a transfer to another parish?

Shuffle off to Buffalo

Nobody wants to identify the real problem that led to the pedophile priests and other sex abuse scandals.

Who are the people who become priests? As a group there's lot of sex abuse victims and other broken people.

Let's face it, how normal can you be if as a late teen or young adult, you don't like girls, but you do like wearing churchy clothes, talking about churchy things and doing churchy stuff.

Look at any photos of a bunch of priests together, and then look closely at the faces and the haircuts. What I see is a bunch of creepy wierdos with shit-eating phony smiles.

Now, all you Catholic types, be honest, when was the last time that you had a normal conversation with a priest?

Anonymous said...

Speaking about creepy weird people, these two masters of social media, John Quaglione and Bishop DiMarzio, both suddenly want to change the Twitter conversation to one about a dead cop and a shootout in Jersey City.

Given some of the other things they might have to talk about, who can blame them for trying something like that?

On the other hand, somebody needs to tell those two bozos there is a small PR problem with using that Jersey City story as a distraction. Putting DiMarzio's name in a Tweet along with "Jersey City" only leads the conversation back to what is now alleged that DiMArzio did when he was in Jersey City.

At least Q wakes up in his own home on his own bed with his own kids unlike liam

Anonymous said...

Stop with the Liam senate talk..does anyone really think golden would not support Quaglione for the seat over Liam..get a grip

Anonymous said...

Why, does Quaglione have something on Golden?

If not, Golden will do what ever Golden will do, and Liam will do whatever Liam will do, just like last time.

Either way, Quaglione can't beat Liam anymore, because the people are tired of all the Quaglione BS.

And people aren't tired of all Liam's BS? The exaggerations, rehab stints, working for de blasio, drunkard nights out on 3rd avenue, living on futons, arrests for assault, etc. Etc.
Plenty of news links for a kick ass mailer.
Q has none of that BS !!

I hear Nick Chambers was the butt of some jokes at the Dyker civic meeting Tuesday

Anonymous said...

I am told Liam is begging for Party support to run against Andy the Kid Greek. Ghorra is starting to bend to Liam's constant advances. Liam even sent Ghorra's wife flowers and chocolates I heard. It's pathetic but it seams to be working. Meanwhile Q is defending pedophiles and reheating petitions he started during his second failed council campaign in 2017.

Anonymous said...

Yes Q has a bed. That is really great.

Anonymous said...

Liam is a liability. Much too much baggage. Consider the blackouts, the lost weekends, the screaming, the trips to the Emergency Room, the urinating on carpets in the campaign office (Liam, not his dog)... I could go on. Liam McCabe is a liability to the Party whereas Quaglione will restore honor and order to the Executive Chamber and he should be nominated to run against Andrew in 2020.

Q is done and he knows it.

7:47 anyone who's at a point in their life seeking out gossip about what happened at the Dyker Christmas meeting and has time to post it on a blog is the biggest joke of all and the same person asking where is Eaton and Capano all the time. Actually the person who posted that is too pathetic and morose to be a joke.

AT LAST SOMEBODY DOING SOMETHING NEW: THE "IT AIN'T ONE OF THE BROKEN SHOES FROM THE 2017 GOP PRIMARY" EDITION

NICHOLAS CHAMBERAS HAS WRITTEN SOMETHING THAT MOST REPUBLICANS AND A LOT OF DEMOCRATS CAN GET BEHIND --- PRESIDENT TRUMP AND SPEAKER PELOSI DO A BETTER JOB WHEN THEY ARE COOPERATING THAN WHEN THEY ARE HURLING VERBAL LIGHTNING BOLTS

"Nick Chambers" lays it out very well in the current version of "Kings County Politics." Nick's piece clearly expresses what a lot of Republicans are thinking.....

His writing style is far better than somebody who has tried to play the PR guy, first to Marty G and now to Nicky D. Why not take a look (See "Op-Ed: Time To Move On From Impeachment Obsession" by Nicholas Chamberas, 12/12/19, Kings County Politics/ Op-Ed [https://www.kingscountypolitics.com/op-ed-time-to-move-on-from-impeachment-obsession/]).

Anonymous said...

Chamberas analysis and opinion is outstanding. Finally someone who gets it.

Anonymous said...

Nick is the type of guy who can build bridges.

Anonymous said...

But is he an architect or an ironworker?

Anonymous said...

Chamberas does an article and the Dems get all wobbly over what to do next on the IMPEACHMENT thing.

Pelosi and Nadler need more time to think things out as cracks are starting to show in the Dems caucus.

Suddenly, everybody in Washington, including the press, say they know the identity of the "Whistleblower." Only the American people don't know. Nick Chamberas needs to step up and tell us all who it is.

Anonymous said...

Is Ray Denaro involved in this?

If so, he's been blogging anonymously.

Anonymous said...

After reading Nick's op-ed I'm told House Democrats are reconsidering the impeachment. Very powerful op-ed by Leader Chamberas. Clearly the new leader of the local GOP organization

Anonymous said...

Ray Denaro! What a guy!

Quaglione thinks that he's a big deal merging Catholic schools and even parishes, now that DiMarzio listens to what he says, but Ray Denaro merges whole neighborhoods and gets coverage for it on local cable TV.

Just think, Gravesend, Bensonhurst and Bath Beach back to being one big neighborhood again. Next time you see Ray Denaro, don't forget to thank him.

Anonymous said...

Robert and Alexandra are all over social media for nicole and with her all the time. Nick writes a piece for a blo- watch out world!

Anonymous said...

With Ray Denaro it's all about the analytics. He's a poor man's Paul DePodesta. Or is Paul DePodesta a poor man's Ray Denaro? Well, it's one or the other. But I'm pretty sure that PDP does blog anonymously.

Bob C we know you’re the one most often trolling people on this site. Denaro, Chanbers, Quags, don’t seem to have a problem with you what’s your problem with them?

Anonymous said...

Do chambers and Capano sit at the library and write together?? Nicole banished them both for good reason..losers

Anonymous said...

Chambers got more press in a day than Nicole got in a month.

Let's see what happens next. Maybe he should run for congress instead of Nicole.

UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "GNAWING CONSCIENCE & GNAWING DOUBT" EDITION

THE LAST TWO "PUT OUT INTO THE DEEP" COLUMNS BY BISHOP DI MARZIO BETRAY HIS PSYCHOLOGY SINCE THE MITCHELL GARABEDIAN COMING ATTRACTIONS PRESSER A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO

Nicky's most recent column opens with "[Now] is a time of expectation, of waiting...." The one before that started like this: "... We Should Remember [the] Persecuted... That is important to remember, because many of us during this time of year may feel very much alone...."

So NIcky Mars is waiting for the other Garabedian shoe to drop and he feels very much alone.

That is a bit of justice all by itself.

Thou shalt not take the name of Leader Chamberas in vain ...

Liam we know you’re the one most often trolling people on this site. Denaro, Chanbers, Quags, don’t seem to have a problem with you what’s your problem with them?

The new GOP leader is Chamberas. Not Chambers.

7:13 more fake news from the usual suspect. Bob already helping out Nicole. As for the rest, she got it “right”, Nick, Sara, John Ranaldo, and first chief of staff all huddled by phones at library so in case Nicole calls them again they can tell her thanks but no thanks all over again.

So, what exactly is your point?

Anonymous said...

You all know Bob is helping Nicole, you also all know that all of Nicole’s former staffers including her first cos have formed an unofficial pact to never go back to working for her again. Stop spreading fake news.

Anonymous said...

2:51 yea like literally nobody but the groupie couple wants to help Nicole and even with them she had to promise to hire them in the DC office if she wins.

The point is that there is no longer a point to the Republican Party when the only certified heterosexual male, Joey Salads, isn't running anymore. Goodbye cruel world.

TIS THE SEASON: THE "ALL WE LIKE SHEEP" EDITION

THINGS KINDA LOOK BAD FOR JESUS CHRIST AND HIS CHURCH --- THE CATHOLICS ARE IN WHAT LOOKS LIKE A POSSIBLE TERMINAL DECLINE BECAUSE OF CLERGY AND ADMINISTRATIVE CORRUPTION ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP (THE PEDO & SEX ABUSE THING IS JUST A SYMPTOM) --- THE MS PROTESTANTS CAN'T DECIDE WHETHER "MS" MEANS "MAINSTREAM" OR "MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS" --- THE WHITE BORN AGAINS ARE BEING ANESTHETIZED BY TWO KINDS OF MUSIC, COUNTRY AND WESTERN - TWO KINDS OF SPORT, FOOTBALL AND NASCAR - AND EACH AND EVERY KIND OF SUBSTANCE ADDICTION GOD EVER SENT THEIR WAY FROM MOONSHINE TO METH TO A-TO-Z IN OPIOIDS --- THE NON-WHITE BORN AGAINS ARE JUST HAVING TOO MUCH FUN IN TOO SHITTY LIVES FOR ANY OF IT TOO MAKE ANY SENSE TO THEIR BROTHER CHRISTIANS, WHO DON'T SEEM TO BE IN ON THE JOKE

Since biblical times, God's people have lived through bad times. In the west for the past past bunches and bunches of years, that's largely been Christians and Muslims, with a few persistent Jews hanging in there to help keep things interesting (Sorry, you closet Randites and other so-called "non-believers" [pssst -- everybody believes something], this comment is aimed elsewhere). However, at certain times, things seem especially bad; and in this phase in the cycle, it looks like it's Christianity's turn in the barrel.

Make no mistake, it isn't Catholic priests and bishops that have led us astray, they are just part of the passing parade like everybody else. This is universal systemic rot throughout the West (and sadly much of the East, as well). It's the people --- that's right --- IT'S THE PEOPLE.....

I could take you through a chinwag about Bosch's "The Garden of Earthly Delights"; and say that we all have been besotted by "... "erotic derangement that turns us all into voyeurs, [having lived in] a place filled with the intoxicating air of perfect liberty...", but that would be too pat and the painter Hieronymus Bosch lacked subtlety and insight (besides everybody knows that the real "Hieronymus Bosch" for our age has been created by Michael Connolly and is played by Titus Welliver; and he is as trapped as the rest of us).

Instead, the answer is in the music. It's seasonal, it's topical, it's Handel.....

Now, I know all of you sports fans were waiting for this..... It's time to cue up the Handel and crank it up kinda loud:

".... All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned every one to his own way.
And the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all...."
("Messiah" 26, from Isaiah 53: 6)
