John Matland got 21 and a half percent (21.5%) in the 2022 GOP primary with no Brooklyn support to speak of and before his recent big and successful nightly rallies against the Arrochar shelter for illegal immigrants in the 11th Congressional District --- but now he does have Brooklyn support; and Matland might even be part of some Brooklyn GOP higher-ups' long term plan(s).

Comments like those made by "... at 5:29 PM" are both intellectually and morally bankrupt; and so are all those Republicans and Conservatives backing Kagan in his race against Justin Brannan. Either they don't care that Brannan is a routine annoyance and menace, whereas Kagan is a serious existential threat to the remaining Republicans and Conservatives in Brooklyn; or those Republicans and Conservatives do know it, but are willing to make their selfish deals with the devil to maintain their few crumbs from their minority stake in the system.
Early voting begins in about three weeks. That will be the first indication if the Kagan campaign is competitive. One Republican leader says that Brannan will have at least a 2000 vote lead before the polls open on election day; and that Brannan will even win the walk-in vote on elections day.
There is no math that shows Ari Kagan will win re-election as a Republican or as a Democrat in Brannan's new district.
Last week, Vito Bruno got caught on tape putting up unsolicited and unwanted Ari Kagan lawn signs. Some things never change; that's a trick right out of the Brian Fox playbook, his campaign was caught doing that several times in 2021 during his losing campaign against Brannan.
John Seravalli is the latest scumbag trying to help steal the leadership of the Brooklyn Republican Party: by concocting this Ari Kagan fiasco in the first place; and lately pulling out one of the old dirty tricks by using a simple-minded drooler who was paid off over $800,000 to be wheeled out whenever he's needed as a geek to distract a crowd, most recently at a recent candidates forum. I'm surprised that Seravalli didn't get Ari Kagan to beat the retard to a bloody pulp first to make it look better, like Kagan was trained to do in his days as a KGB trainee back in the USSR.

Based on these new 47th Council District lines, and the very improved ratio of Democrat voters and geography in the form of many more EDs in solidly Democrat areas in the new 47th Council District compared to Brannan's old 43rd District, a longtime Republican wag that is very familiar with the voting patterns in the so-called Kagan end of the new 47th Council District is convinced that a Brannan win of about 2000 votes, or even a number somewhat higher is more likely than not.
Kagan could win but too many people will vote for Khatari.
