Kassar knows they are lies;
Kagan knows they are lies;
Bichotte Hermelyn knows they are lies; and even
Michael Bistreich probably knows they are lies (most certainly his mother does, and his lawyers do too)
It is up to Justin Brannan to police this matter in any way that he might be able, and seems fit to him, and his allies, and advisers. We could tell the real Brannan-Bistreich story that has been kept under raps for about five or six years; but Brannan or his formal representatives are in a better position to do so.
Our purpose here is just to sound an alarm that something very strange is happening involving the leadership* of the Democrat Party in Brooklyn, the Conservative Party in Brooklyn, and the Republican Party in Brooklyn**..... And it is not good for any of the people in Brooklyn --- be they Republians, Democrats, Conservatives, Independents or "Others"..... Let us close by saying this ---

According to an article in "City & State" yesterday >>> on Tuesday, Brooklyn Democrat "Leader" Rodneyse Bichotte released a blistering statement in response to a New York Post story rehashing years-old harassment allegations against Brannan. The on-line "City & State" report then quoted Bichotte as follows: “We have received a barrage of concerns and disturbing allegations against Councilman Justin Brannan for harassing and tormenting an ex-staff member with autism, who was under Brannan's supervision at the time. The chilling accusations, which include locking this staffer in a basement and leaving decapitated teddy bears on his desk, were settled out of court for $850,000. Some have asked for Justin Brannan's resignation, which I have not taken a position on, as we wait for all the facts to come to light about these disturbing incidents...”. "City and State" went on to say that a Brannan campaign spokesperson, Ian Brown, responded by accusing the Kings Democrat Chairperson Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn of slander. Brown had written that in an E-mail to "City & State" that contained this statement: “Justin's desperate political opponents – that now include Rodneyse – have been lodging these false accusations in every campaign for the past 6 years. Justin was not named in this lawsuit and was never subpoenaed. City & State went on to state that Brannan and the ex-staff member in question, Michael Bistreich, worked together as staffers for former City Council Member Vincent Gentile. In 2016, Bistreich sued Gentile and the city for $10 million, alleging that some of his co-workers had harassed and mocked him due to his autism. However, the lawsuit did not name Brannan and Brannan was not cited for any of the activities. In 2021, a judge even dismissed Councilman Gentile from the suit, but the case went on against NYC and the city settled that case for $850,000.
It was only when Brannan ran to replace the term-limited Gentile that Bistreich went to the Daily News and said --- for the first time --- that Brannan was one of several unnamed coworkers who had mocked him; and at the same time in 2017 Bistreich endorsed the Republican candidate, Brannan immediately denied and rebutted Bistreich's claims against him with several relevant facts proving that Brannan could not have been involved. In the election for 2017 Brannan was elected to the City Council in spite of anything that Bistreich had said about Brannan. Bistreich popped up again in Brannan's 2021 re-election campaign, supporting and working for Brian Fox, with active role in the Republican-Conservative campaign against Brannan. In 2021 Bistreich again made the same old claims against Brannan, and the Fox campaign again made a last second splash about Bistreich and his claims. However, in 2021, the public again rejected the Bistreich claims as not credible, and Brannan was re-elected.
Last week, Bistreich released a new last minute video endorsing Kagan, Brannan's 2023 Republican-Conservative opponent; and Bistreich renewed the same exact claims that he had raised against Brannan in 2017 and again in 2021.
Whats going on here? Bistreich is not new but Dem boss trashing Dem on eve of election is new.

We here on this independent GOP blog for Brooklyn and Staten Island have reviewd several other articles about the Bistreich claims and lawsuit in December of 2016; in none of those articles did Michael Bistreich mention Justin Brannan as being any part of the discrimination and/or harassment directed at Bistreich for his mental condidtion and behaviors.
