After all, we here at this Independent Republican Blog for Brooklyn and Staten Island only recently started covering Mr. Matland, because somebody long associated with the Brooklyn GOP at the highest levels told us that Matland, "'We the People' are the news," and John Matland (@wethepeoplearethenews) deserved particular coverage for the rest of 2023 and into 2024. So we will be doing that until we are convinced that it is no longer part of anybody's "long term plan" and/or it is otherwise not newsworthy.

There was no big announcements about any senior Brooklyn GOP member coming out of the closet on National Coming Out Day. I know that somebody's name was specifically mentioned in an attempted comment, but it was never posted; nor was the usually reliable source that put your blog onto the published material about the top Brooklyn GOPer being pushed to "come out" by a family member.

As far as we here on this blog know --- and have reported --- no such thing was ever said or even suggested by us --- and certainly not by Craig Eaton. What we mentioned in our earlier comment above "... at 1:56 AM" was our real and true doubt that Kassar and Malliotakis were laughing about Eaton at all for what he had demonstrated thus far in 2023, and that they knew that he had bigger plans for 2024 that might very well include a John Matland component.

If anything is clear, it's that Nicole Malliotakis is not capabable of destroying any Republican either on Staten Island or in Brooklyn. She couldn't and didn't do it to Matland in 2022, and is even less likely to do it in 2024. And as for Eaton, neither Nicole nor all of her supporters combined can ruffle Eaton's feathers even a little; and Nicole will do everything in her power to avoid any direct conflict with Eaton. After all, she clearly remembers what happened to Marty when he did.
If Kagan decides to keep Moore than he gets 72% again.

Along the way, Eaton's name came up in the conversation..... When Catsimatidis asked Eaton about what had been said, Eaton said that Cats should do what he needed to do; and Eaton said that he would continue to do what he needed to do.
