David Ignatius --- opinion piece --- WaPo --- thirteen months before the 2024 election --- it doesn't get any clearer than that.....
For those that only see the NY Times as authoritative, another such opinion piece by Ross Douthat appeared in the NY Times.....
The difference is that David Ignatius at the Washington Post has long been viewed as expressing the thoughts and insights of the collective community(ies) of higher-ups in the nation's capital --- especially those installed at the highest levels of the CIA, FBI, Pentagon and Homeland Security
Bottom line, important influencers are expressing their opinions in the NY Times and Washington Post that President Joe Biden is toast --- and by the time of the 2024 election, he will be the crust of stale burned toast --- with any of the somewhat blackened but close-to-edible middle long gone
The New York Times and Washington Post seperatedly released for publication "opinion pieces" in their respective Tuesday-Wednesday publishing cycles >>> calling out like town criers that 80-year-old President Joe Biden is too old to run for re-election in 2024; and in the case of the Washington Post, saying that even if Biden did run in 2024, he most likely would be the loser in that election to Donald Trump.
All of this is coming as President Biden faces a first time impeachment inquiry, and recent polling showing that most voters in all categories consider the president at too advanced in age to serve, or even run, again.
