Sliwa team finally gets something right --- decides that "Radio Silence" is best messaging for Bay Ridge fund raiser

Bob Capano seems to have spread his "tree falling in a forest very, very far away" disease to the whole Curtis Sliwa campaign for the GOP nomination for mayor

Last night's thing at Delia's  Lounge at Third Avenue and 93rd Street in Bay Ridge had a couple of observers scratching their heads about what was obviously

>>> NOT GOING ON THERE AT THE TIME <<<

According to two folks that said they were there to eyeball things, it just wasn't very much to meet the eye  ---  other than some talk is cheap chit-chat in front on the sidewalk

The Brian Fox event a little while back suddenly looks a lot better by comparison  ---  so far, those horrible visuals from The Lonestar B & G don't look nearly as horrible, when they are compared to these Sliwa campaign scenes from Delia's Lounge

So far the only pix that we have seen so far are from "The Queen of the Click"  ---  real action shots  ---  just look at all the action at Sliwa's event last night:

All the feverish activity was obviously captured on a high speed time lapse camera.

Bobby C of the beer can on the subway saga usually tries to publish anything that he can about Curtis Sliwa's campaign  ---  so far, nothing about this event.  Maybe, Bobby Baby is smartening-up.....  Will wonders never cease ?????

Let's be fair, maybe, things picked up later on.....  Let's see what Bob and Curtis try to do to make this scene all look not so bad.....

According to a friend of Sliwa there were 12 people there including Teddy G who gave a stump speech that sounded unhinged. The story in the Brooklyn paper has him vowing revenge loudly and publicly. Vito looked embarrassed to be there probably because they had put almost as many cocktail waitresses as people attending the event. Although to be fair this looked like a much more clean cut crew than the Lone Star which had a cast right out of a Que Anon reunion. This had more of a failed local AARP event vibe.

Rob Astorino is entering race for Governor.

This is pathetic

1144, the Brooklyn GOP isn't pathetic; at most, it can only aspire to be pathetic.

Its clear the momentum is with Fox.

I saw Curtis on Fox news. He looks like such a fool wearing a suit tie and the red hat.

9:52 has gone from racist, sexist, to ageist remarks. Yes the seniors do support Fox because justins defund the police platform is not popular with anyone except his schills on this pathetic blog.

153, you do understand, don't you, that Brian Fox didn't have anything to do with the pro-Curtis Sliwa event at Delia's Lounge the other night.

Anonymous said...

Yes 5:45 PM we know if Brian Fox had anything to do with the pro-Curtis Sliwa event at Delia's Lounge the other night there would have been even less people there.

657, without trying to be too pedantic, the correct word is not 'less,' it's 'fewer'; nonetheless, your comment completely strains credulity and lacks even minimal credibility, because it would have been almost mathematically impossible to have had 'fewer' people at 'the pro-Curtis Sliwa event at Delia's Lounge the other night' than the very spare number that Curtis Sliwa and Bob Capano had managed to drum up for the event.

Tonight Ghorra brought along the entire slate of candidates for Brooklyn including Curtis Sliwa. He was bragging about how great he is at fundraising, even the candidates there to lick his boots was looking at him like they thought he was high. Oh and Barminion delivered another 15 minute speech on how Ted is the greatest leader the GOP has ever had. You can’t make this up.

I knew Bob was where the Heineken is.

It is scientifically and statistically impossible to have *less* people than Brian Fox had at his campaign launch. For one to even attempt to calculate *less* people than that, one would need to consult Neil deGrasse Tyson and the Black Hole and Other Cosmic Quandaries for the Less than Zero quotient.

Delia's is a hole in the wall. Eight people fills the place.

RESPONSE: THE "TEAMS COMPETEING FOR THE HONOR OF BEING THE WORST AT BAY RIDGE FUND RASING EVENTS" EDITION

TO: TOO MANY ANONYMOUS COMMENTERS TO MENTION AT THIS HOUR OF THE EARLY AM

MAYBE, BOTH CORNERS NEED TO THROW IN THEIR TOWELS SIMULTANEOUSLY

Let's agree that both the team behind Curtis Sliwa, and the team behind Fernando Mateo and Brian Fox are fully capable of throwing a 'fund raiser' at an establishment serving alcoholic beverages in Bay Ridge whose real attendance in terms of genuine paying guests asymptotically approaches zero on all significant indices.

In attempting to grade out the relative effectiveness of either or both of these teams, maybe our approach of finding a relevant song might work best --- we suggest this following song of yesteryear:

"Nothin' from nothin' leaves nothin'
You gotta have somethin' if you wanna [count] with me
Nothin' from nothin' leaves nothin'
You gotta have somethin' if you wanna [count] with [anybody]...."

I just finished the 11 to 7 shift at the quarry and when I left Brian Fox was standing at the gates with a camera crew as he greeted the shift workers. Justin should try getting out. I understand that his defund the police platform is not popular but the exercise might help him.

According to Ted, Inna is the only candidate who has qualified for matching funds of the only three seats we are "competing" in. All three districts have a lot of Republicans, you only need 75 donors in district to qualify. Brian Fox is a newbie, this is where a Chair is supposed to step in and help. You are a chairman and you can't get 75 people from your party to donate to Fox? Your fundraisers are at the Lone Star? Zeldin and Astorino and whoever else is running for Gov should fight really hard over the Kings County endorsement, they should fight to make sure they don't get it.

Ghorra MUST GO!!!!!!

RESPONSE: THE "WHY DOES SOMEBODY TRYING TO HELP BRIAN FOX JUST KEEP ON LYING FOR HIM ???" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... 8:35 AM"

LIKE ANY SHIBBOLETH, YOU KEEP REPEATING THIS FALSE NARRATIVE ABOUT DEMOCRAT CITY COUNCILMAN JUSTIN BRANNAN --- AND NOW YOU'VE RE-PACKAGED THAT FALSE NARRATIVE BY CALLING "DEFUNDING THE POLICE" A PART OF JUSTIN BRANNAN'S PLATFORM

--->>> THE PROBLEM WITH THAT IS EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NARRATIVE IS ABSOLUTELY FALSE <<<---

THE FACTS ARE CLEAR >>> IN THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR, COUNCILMAN JUSTIN BRANNAN VOTED IN FAVOR OF OVER TEN BILLION DOLLARS IN FUNDING FOR THE NYPD --- FURTHERMORE, REAL POLICE ACTIVITY WITHIN BRANNAN'S 43RD COUNCIL DISTRICT CONTINUED TO BE FULLY FUNDED THROUGHOUT THE PERIOD IN QUESTION --- THAT MEANS JUSTIN BRANNAN WAS AND IS NOT DEFUNDING THE NYPD, HE IS FUNDING THEM QUITE GENEROUSLY

SAYING THAT COUNCILMAN JUSTIN BRANNAN HAS A "DEFUND THE POLICE PLATFORM" IS JUST A BLATANT LIE >>> SO WHY KEEP USING IT AS A CAMAPIGN TACTIC ?????

It is just incomprehensible why Brian Fox and so many who are behind his campaign believe >>> that solely by repeating the same discredited lies against his opponent <<< they can cover-up for THE FOX CAMPAIGN'S complete lack of: money; campaign personnel; any thoughtful and coherent messaging; popular support among rank and file Republicans; >>> AND PERHAPS MOST IMPORTANT, LACK OF A CANDIDATE WITH ANY ADMITTED PERSONAL HISTORY WHATSOEVER.....

THAT CERTAINLY BEGS THE QUESTIONS --- WHO IN THE FOX CAMPAIGN THINKS THAT IT'S A GOOD IDEA TO LIE 100% OF THE TIME ??? --- AND, DO THEY REALLY BELEIVE THAT NOBODY WILL NOTICE ?????

How soon before Ghorra starts calling Brian Fox asking him to go into Sheepshead Bay to put up lawn signs for Inna? How soon before Craig Eaton takes pity on Fox and throws him a real fundraiser? You know the kind where they don’t have fly swatters at the tables.

All that needs to be said about the Brooklyn GOP can be summed up with this timeline --- years ago, when Kassar, Bramwell and others successfully dumped Bob DiCarlo, and hamstrung Ron D'Angelo, one by one, Brooklyn GOP types were peeled away to line up with Jerry Kassar and move away from the then-dominant GOP.

First, it was to stop the attempts by Arthur Bramwell to broaden the scope of the Brooklyn GOP: and it was about that time that a young politically active police officer, Eric Adams came into the Brooklyn GOP, but he left the GOP when Kasser and Pataki isolated Bramwell. That trend against Broolyn GOP leaders continued during the era of Hy Singer's leadership, and it all reached the breaking point when Kassar got Marty Golden to turn on the last true County GOP Leader, Craig Eaton, with Kassar convincing Marty that he needed to run the Brooklyn GOP himself. That moved killed the party, and it was the death knell for Marty as well. The whole of the Ted Ghorra era is nothing but postscript, part of the post-mortem Brooklyn GOP.

1:59 is right. Kassar outsmarted everybody.

Anonymous said...

Any Kassar victories are Pyrrhic victories. Now he stands atop the trash pile alone

Anonymous said...

And the song we learned as kids goes, '... and the cheese stands alone."

3:03 It dapends on what the goal was. If the goal was to enrich his cronies beyond their wildest fantasies, yes absolutely he outsmart everyone. When it comes to winning election now that’s another story. Marty knows he lost because he let Gerry run his campaign. If it’s about being competative in Brooklyn politics he is a disaster everybody knows that.

SPECIAL COMMENT: THE "RUBBER ROOM IN BUILDING 'G'" EDITION

THEY USED TO REFER TO BULDING "G" AT "KINGS COUNTY HOSPITAL" AS "THE BROOKLYN BEDLAM"

---> THE MATERIAL IN THE COMMENT IMMEDIATELY ABOVE "... AT 2:28 PM" IS A TRANSCRIPT OF THE AUDIO PORTION OF A RECORDING OF BOB CAPANO'S SITTING IN HIS PADDED CELL IN BUILDING G AT KINGS COUNTY --- THE VIDEO PORTION OF THE TAPE HAS BEEN WITHHELD BECAUSE IT SHOWS BOB'S CONTINUOUS MASTURBATION WHILE HE IS SHOUTING "AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!!" <---

All that's left to say is a quote from Craig Eaton, once a supporter of this fallen-by-the-wayside former candidate for various offices in Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights over the years --- "PATHETIC, JUST PATHETIC....."

UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "JUST ANOTHER MESSAGE FROM THE RUBBER ROOM" EDITION

BOB, ONCE INFAMOUS FOR HIS SUBWAY BEER CAN ANTICS, IS STILL LOCKED IN THE RUBBER BOX, FROM WHICH HE WANTS PEPOPLE TO THINK HE STILL HAS POLITICAL ALLIES AND IS WORKING WITH A REAL POLITICAL CAMPAIGN

Everybody, who really know Bob, know that's just not the truth.

Since Bob is locked up tight in a little rubber room, Curtis Sliwa carries around a cardboard cutout of Bob Capano to make it look like he's going around with Curtis Sliwa to faux events attended by faux people standing around. Curtis then E-mails the pictures to Bob so he can post them on the internet. None of it is real though.

FURTHER UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "JUST FOUR MORE MESSAGES FROM BOB IN THE RUBBER ROOM" EDITION

TO: THE WHOLE WORLD; OR MAYBE JUST THE ONE PERSON THAT CARES

BEER CAN BABY BOBBY C. IS COMPLETELY OUT OF CONTROL THIS MORNING..... FOUR COMMENTS AT THE CRACK OF DAWN

HE IS STILL LOCKED INSIDE A RUBBER BOX, INSIDE THE BIG BUIDING OVER AT "THE BROOKLYN BEDLAM" --- KINGS COUNTY HOSPITAL --- FROM THERE, BOB STILL WANTS PEPOPLE TO THINK HE IS WORKING WITH HIS "POLITICAL ALLIES" EATON AND CATSIMATIDIS --- AND THAT HE IS COMPLETELY INVOLVED IN A REAL POLITICAL CAMPAIGN FOR SLIWA

The proof that he's completely out of the loop With all that is that none of his deleted comments from around 5:00 AM this morning even mentioned Sliwa's being at a Catholic Church in Brooklyn today to make political hay out of the desecration of sacred images on Church property --- it couldn't be working better for Sliwa if he did it himself --- the church was desecrated before and now it's happened again.....

WHAT WILL THE SLIWA CAMPAIGN TRY NEXT, AN ATTEMPT TO RESURRECT THE "SON OF SAM" THING WITH A DEMONSTRATION BY THE BELT PARKWAY NEAR BAY 14TH STREET ?????

Bob Capano doesn't like seeing this, but Craig Eaton had it so right when he expressed this observation >>> "... Pathetic, just pathetic !!! <<<

Anonymous said...

There is no Sliwa campaign. People were right it was all just one big publicity stunt. Bob running to light candles on a giant slab of raw meat while Bruno takes the video tells us all we need to know. What’s next? Ted Ghorra being hired as minority outreach director for Sliwa?

THE LATEST FROM BEER CAN BOB: THE "MORE MASTURBATION AND 'AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !' JAZZ" EDITION

THE BOY JUST KEEPS TRYING TO MAKE COMMENTS HERE --- AND --- WELL, YOU KNOW.....

TO BE FAIR --- LOCKED IN HIS RUBBER ROOM --- WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO DO ???

LARGE AMOUNTS OF THORAZINE MIGHT GIVE THE BOY SOME RELIEF FROM HIS UNCONTROLLABLE URGES.....

Bob, when you're not happy pulling yourself all by yourself, always tell yourself that there are folks out there, like Curtis Sliwa and John Catsimatidis, who are willing to be there pulling for you and along with you.
