Maybe, that's the reason why NYC Councilman Justin Brannan has taken such a keen interest in the Queens District, even though he is likely to be facing his own Democratic Primary, and possibly a difficult re-election fight from a Republican like John Quaglione, who easily won the Republican Primary in 2017, and then narrowly losing to Brannan in the general election

I don't know how, or why, but an insider has told me that most likely Tiffany Caban was herself involved in the corrupt deal that resulted in Melinda Katz' becoming the Democrat nominee for Queens County D.A. instead of the actual 2019 winner of the Democrat Primary for Queens D.A., Tiffany Caban. However, the insider suggested to me that Tiffany Caban obviously obtained immediate valuable consideration for tanking her NY State Supreme Court case against the BOE and Melinda Katz, as well as substantial future consideration.

Weren't there hundreds and hundreds of ballots that were never counted by the Queens BOE?
I'm told that those unseen ballots were largely for election districts where Tiffany Caban had huge margins in her favor, and the total number of ballots is about five times more than Melinda Katz purported margin of victory.

My source indicated that Tiffany Caban had to cooperate in her attorneys' failure to perfect Tiffany's appeal to the Appellate Division for the Second Department; and even more so, to consent with the withdrawal of her appeal completely.
Sounds like Gayle has been spending some time smoking crack in Lake Success with Sweeney, Reich and Bolz but he's got it all wrong because Caban is no County Hack.

John Q was a trainwreck after the primary in 2017. Like a snivelling child all Mr Q did was complain about Capanos reform party. Qz November election ended in defeat. If you had any sense of indecency this will be promptly corrected.

That adds him to the very long list of strange bedfellows including Queens pols and others on the left backing Tiffany Caban --- that list includes: Rod Townsend, a prior announced candidate, who also recently ended his campaign and threw his support behind Cabán, State Senator Jessica Ramos, New York State Senator Mike Gianaris, NYC Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer, AD 36 District Leader-elect Zachariah Boyer, Astoria Democratic District Leader-elect Shawna Morlock, Community Organizer Rana Abdelhamid, Democratic nominee for the 34th District of the New York State Assembly Jessica González-Rojas, and Queens organizer Jesse Cerrotti, the Working Families Party, and something called "Road to Justice NYC," a new labor coalition composed of Make the Road Action, 1199 SEIU, and Community Voices Heard.

As far as I know, I haven't discussed any of "...the deep sea inner workings of Queens politics..." I just wrote a feature post and did an "UPDATE & BACKFILL" comment about two phone calls --- no more and no less. Admittedly, the calls were sort of long and the other party was very opinionated, expressive and, by my lights, apparently well informed.
One example of what he said was that a few of the hundreds of "unopened and uncounted" paper ballots in the Caban-Katz DA Primary had been opened and a count started at the BOE --- that small sample of either seventeen or nineteen ballots contained thirteen votes for Caban --- until the Queens BOE declared that none of them should have been either be opened or counted.
Your right. Liam Ambrode would know the inner workings of the Queens machine better than anybody because he helped Eric Urlich sail to defeat in the Public Advocates race much to the disgust of Tom Ognibene
1233, you mentioned nobody relevant to the backroom deal with Tiffany Caban, although Queens Republicans and Conservatives have gotten their share of stuff from Melinda Katz over the years, and that continues. Mike Connors would know more about that than McCabe.
The mere supposition of collusion is fantastical. Tiff Caban wouldn't even so much as spit in Melinda's direction if she was on fire and let us say the feeling goes both ways. Your Queens source is high on Crack.
