The treatment that Chanel Lewis has gotten between trials just received the Imprimatur of "Justice" Michael Aloise in pre-trial proceedings Tuesday
It sure looks like bizarre, Third-World penal practices are now normal in New York State --- NY Post reveals coercive reason why Chanel Lewis was shipped out to Riverhead to be beaten
Some people think that anything can fly in the name of "law and order" and "good order and discipline" these days (See "Queens jogger’s accused killer transferred for overusing phone" by Elizabeth Rozner & Emily Saul, 3/12/19, NY Post/ Metro [https://nypost.com/2019/03/12/queens-joggers-accused-killer-transferred-for-overusing-phone/]).
Judge Aloise made it seem that the whole "Shipped-out-to-Riverhead" caper was an administrative punishment for Chanel Lewis' overuse of his phone to make 311 complaints and to talk to the NY Post. So what, that security was lax and Lewis got a beating !!! Even though Chanel Lewis was hit from behind, Judge Aloise pretty much described it as the defendant having a confrontation with another prisoner, and not Chanel Lewis' being the victim of a attack.

Chanel Lewis' description of the goings on in jail sound like it's the "Kiss of the Spider Woman" without the dancing.
No one cares..Ulrich wins
This whole thing started in Ulrich's lawless patch of Queens that's a throwback to the pre-60's 'Jim Crow' South.
Chanel Lewis' Civil and Human Rights had been violated in Ulrich's district by some of Ulrich's strongest supporters. This goes back to months before Karina Vetrano was murdered near her home in Howard Beach only to be found a little while later by her father way off the path and deep in the weeds.
Ever since Memorial Day 2017 the NYPD, the Queens DA's Office, the NYS Courts and the NYC Office of Correction have conducted a clinic on how to abuse the rights of a certain class of NYC's racial minorities for the benefit of a dwindling and increasingly uncomfortable white majority.

No one cares Ulrich and Liam will win the BP race while Capano and Eaton talk to themselves about what they are going to do in bklyn in 2033..
UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "NEW JURY SELECTION PROCESS" EDITION
SIX JURORS SELECTED --- SELECTION PROCESS CONTINUES IN COURT ON THURSDAY FOR SIX MORE JURORS AND FOUR ALTERNATES FOR WHAT MIGHT BE A THREE WEEK TRIAL --- POTENTIAL JURORS WERE ASKED IF THEY EVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE POLICE AND IF THEY BELIEVED THAT A DEFENDANT COULD MAKE A "FALSE CONFESSION"
IS THE NEW YORK STATE COURT ADMINISTRATION LOOKING AT CLOSELY JUSTICE MICHAEL ALOISE AND HOW HE IS HANDLING THIS TRIAL ?????
A report in Newsday by Anthony M. DeStefano indicated that some pertinent issues were aired during the jury selection process --- "... potential jurors were [ ] asked if they believed it possible that someone might falsely confess to a crime. Lewis gave two confessions but his statements were coerced by cops and made after he was held for hours without being allowed to make a telephone call, said his lawyer, Robert Moeller, during the first trial...." Among the many queries by prosecutors, defense counsel and the trial judge, potential jurors also were asked, "... whether they could serve in such a high-profile case, assess the evidence fairly, and put aside any sympathies in order to render a verdict based solely on the evidence. Potential jurors were also asked if they had any negative experiences with cops. Some said yes but that they still could assess a police officer's testimony fairly...." (See "Six jurors picked in retrial of suspect in killing of Karina Vetrano" by Anthony M. DeStefano, 3/13/19, Newsday/ News/ New York [https://www.newsday.com/news/new-york/karina-vetrano-howard-beach-1.28484305]).
Mr. DeStefano also noted that --- ".... The jurors selected Wednesday included five men and one woman. Among the men was a former New York City corrections officer from Bayside as well as a theatrical producer from Forest Hills. The sole woman selected so far lives in Elmhurst. Five of the six are married.... Legal experts and law enforcement officials noted that the first jury appeared to be younger and was selected only after about nine hours of selection. The current jury selection process could take another day...."
HERE IS SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT --- DESCRIBED BY A WELL-INFORMED COURT OBSERVER AS A "STRANGE MOVE" BY NEW YORK STATE COURT ADMINISTRATORS
One of my BSIs gave me a heads-up that the NYS OCA has placed an "... OCA official in court to make sure Judge [Aloise] does not lock out the press...." My BSI's source was a Twitter feed by somebody in the courthouse, who insightfully Tweeted this: "... There is also an official from the Office of Court Administration here to ensure the press has access to jury selection. That was an issue last go-round...."
It's not a big surprise that the pressure is mounting on NYS government higher-ups to get this second Chanel Lewis trial right.
The civil and human rights of Chanel Lewis have been violated going back to months before Karina Vetrano was murdered near her home in Howard Beach, and whose body was found a little while later by her father way off the path and deep in the weeds.
Ever since Memorial Day 2016 [ not '2017' like I said above in my comment of 7:19-7:23 AM above] the NYPD, the Queens DA's Office, the NYS Courts and the NYC Office of Correction have conducted a clinic on how to abuse the rights of a certain class of NYC's racial minorities. All of that was for the benefit of the dwindling and increasingly uncomfortable white majority, who live in places like Howard Beach.
However, the election of somebody like AOC in North Queens has struck a nerve at the OCA, because the balance of power in NYC and even NYS is swinging toward various minority communities.
Judge Lasak thought the Lewis case was going to be his ticket to the DA's office.
Sorry grandpa !!
Ray Denaro is really embarrassing himself .
