It has been widely reported that the New York State Democratic Party today voted in favor of a resolution calling for an end to “fusion” voting --- that's the adding together of votes that one candidate gets on multiple lines
If the Democrat-controlled NYS Legislature follows through and passes legislation reflecting their state party's resolution, it would virtually end the influence of minor parties throughout New York State --- and that would result in an immediate and significant change in New York State’s political landscape

The Conservative Party was formed to move the GOP to the right. It succeeded a long time ago. Its continued dominance in state and local politics has been a thorn in the side of Republicans. It won't be missed.

He steps down and then hands it down to Kassar, and funny thing, the party is now done, finished!!

Just how "many" are we talking about?
'Many' means more than a few.
Sometimes it connotes 'a majority', others a 'plurality', and still others 'more than would be expected'.
However, this time I think Gail just made it up; but 'more than a few' is my best estimate of how many Brooklyn Republicans want the Kassar Conservatives gone.
Now Ted has complete control of the largest county in New York State.
There is little evidence that the Kings County Republican Chairman, or as you like to call him, 'Ted', has complete control of his own bodily functions, much less 'complete control of the largest county in New York State'.
If you are talking politics, there is a small thing called the Democratic Party. In case you were in a coma and missed it, in 2018 the Democrats swept the board clean in Brooklyn, except for a little sliver called 'Nicole'.
Justin Brannan and the Bay Ridge Dems have more control over the Brooklyn GOP than your man 'Ted'.
You can also look ahead a bit, if the Conservative Party in Brooklyn collapses, they'll simply move in as a faction of the Brooklyn GOP and take over, 'lock, stock and two barrels that haven't smoked for a long time'. Who is going to stop them, 'Ted', Liam and John Q?
The only reason that the Conservatives control so much of the Brooklyn GOP is because of their independent financial resources as well as the fact that they can spoil races for the GOP. It’s a good idea for the conservatives to join the GOP for a stronger bigger party that would mean a lot less power for all of the hacks in leadership positions in both parties.
Say what you will, Conservatives like Mike Long and Kassar know how to build and maintain a political organization. If Bramwell, Singer, Eaton or Ghorra had done 5% of what the Conservatives have accomplished in patronage for their people, the Brooklyn GOP would be a powerhouse organization.

Brooklyn Conservatives have only harmed the electoral prospects of Republicans in Brooklyn. They are a patronage party that much is true because all they care about is patronage that is definitely true. That is why they will do anything to sabotage GOP candidates which is why years back they tried to nominate a conservative to help Democrat Kate Cucco in the general election. It's also why they are encouraging Steve to run as a Democrat so they could cross endorse and maybe get a couple of jobs. They are jealous of Craig Eaton because under his leadership Brooklyn at one point had five elected officials. He and Marty were close friends but when he refused the stupid idea of supporting Joe Lhota the Conservatives drove a wedge between them. Why so obsessed with Craig Eaton?
Ted is now the de facto head of the GOP in NYC.
There is something very wrong with your thinking ability if you think that Ted Ghorra is the 'de facto head of the GOP' anywhere, including Brooklyn.
He is what he has always been, barely a part-time county leader, a rank amatuer and a puppet on Jerry Kassar's or Marty Golden's strings.
Where is Eaton? Sitting at home while Ghorra leads as he joined with the Cats family for Ulrich..no Eaton
Ghorra has led like a Vietnam era new as polished brass Second John shouting 'Follow me, men' before being hit in the back by half a dozen rounds of 'friendly fire'.

503 has absolutely no clue about Ghorra, Cats or Eaton. In fact, Eaton was on the Cats Wednesday night radio show last night and two weeks ago as well. And there are FB photos of Eaton and Cats at Dinner after each of the shows. Please stop with the Ghorra and Cats relationship - there clearly isnt any.
And Ulrich, that really went well didnt it? the only republican in a field of 100 and he comes in 2nd? Really?
He should be embarased by his results in that election

Anyone associated with the Ulrich campaign was tarnished by his underwhelming performance. Rosemary O'keefe came in much closer to a win in her attempt to win a special election, and she was suffering from a fatal affliction at the time.
Of course, some will say that Eric Ulrich suffers from a fatal affliction, being Eric Ulrich.
Cats will endorse Golden in 2020..just like last year..

I know a couple of people who went to Nicole’s event last night and John Cats wasn’t there. I’m told that Ted was basically ignored and the conservatives got all the attention and he wasn’t even allowed to speak.
Did or did not Cats endorse Golden last year..it's a simple yes or no question..
Cats will endorse Golden in 2020 and Golden will lose again.

Wow, Ghorra looks like a sweaty mess in the Facebook Photos from last nights event. And that racoon on his head? Someone should either rip it off or tell him how stupid he looks with it on. And the sweat from under the racoon is gross

I'll tell you that I know that Mr. Catsimatidis, Mr. Eaton and Mr. Capano are always talking politics back and forth, and they are making plans together for 2019, 2020, 2021 and even 2022.
