Is Bill really taking a step back ? — It sure looks like a step up !
The news today is that Bill Clinton is on the front cover of Town & Country and he’s talking about: his dealings with financiers and governmental leaders in and about Haiti; his place in the Hillary Clinton Campaign; and his future in the Clinton Foundation, IF (and he talks about what a big “IF” it is) Hillary might become president
The question again arises — Will Bill Clinton be a back-stager or a back-stabber in Hillary’s 2015-2016 run for the presidency — Even while announcing that he intends to take a backseat (clearly emphasizing – it’s just for now), Bill Clinton stepped on the part of Hillary’s message that says that SHE is in charge, SHE is prepared to lead, and it is HER turn to be president
Isn’t it funny how the problems of the money stream into the Clinton Foundation are always there when any other part of the Hillary-Billery stuff is talked about ?
Almost all the major mainstream news outlets have jumped on this story ( My quick Google Search disclosed the following MSM organizations covering this T& C front page feature about Bill Clinton, Bill's place in Hillary's Campaign and the Clinton Foundation: CNN, CBS, NBC, NPR, The Sacramento Bee, Associated Press, Politico and The Hill; in addition there was plenty of coverage in the right wing conspiratorial press and the blogs.... and so it goes). I have limited my sourcing to the CNN version, and parts of the very long feature in Town & Country.
According to CNN, “Bill Clinton isn't known for avoiding of the spotlight. But the former president will look to change that view if (when) his wife runs for president. *** In a cover story interview with Town & Country published Tuesday, Clinton said that he will be more of a top strategist than a top surrogate during Hillary Clinton's all-but-announced 2016 presidential campaign....
