Finance records show that one of the Catsimatidis' businesses has continued to cut checks to the three Republican county organizations that back his candidacy — Also, recent polling shows that “CATS” continues to gain on Lhota — Q-poll now shows that with a month until the primary, “CATS” is only 6% behind [43% - 37%] with 11% still undecided.
According to a report on Crain’s Insider blog, citing Board of Elections records, “...[F]rom this January through July, Mr. Catsimatidis' company, Red Apple Group, has poured $115,000 into the housekeeping or party accounts of the three GOP county organizations supporting him. Brooklyn—which was the last to endorse him in April—has gotten $55,000, while an early supporter, Queens County, has gotten $25,000. In the same article by Chris Bragg was the following quote by Catsimatidis’ campaign spokesman Robert Ryan: "The Catsimatidis campaign is laying the groundwork to win the Republican primary and to have the support to win [the general election] in November." Mr. Ryan also released a statement on Tuesday about the recent polling swing toward his boss — "John Catsimatidis' message of supporting the NYPD, fighting for good schools and standing up for small business and New York's beleaguered middle class is resonating with the voters in all five boroughs. New Yorkers realize he has the vision and leadership skills this city needs and though he's tough, he also has a heart."

It shows that what Cats is doing is working, helping to build and fortify the County organizations which provides the necessary support for the ground game. Keep gaining on Lhota Mr. Catsman - you are the only one who can make it through to the finish line in November......Golden and his crew jumped on the wrong train....what will they do when the Catsman wins? Maybe move to Jerzy?
Or Maybe go on another cruise? Funny, Golden is cruising and he is posting on FB as if he is town. He is saving the world from the Norwegian Cruise line. How funny is that. His people post as if he is in District doing things for Constituents yet he is thousands of miles away..I am surprised they didnt take picture of his saving cats from trees and then post them as current news, while he drinks on a boat - how deceptive.....just admit you are vacationing...after all, you will need it....
So let me get this straight. Both Lhota and Cats are moderate republicans but Cats actually supports the republican party financially.
Backing the Catman seems like a no-brainer to me.
That $ will certainly help other down-ballot republican candidates like Sullivan and Testaverde if they are with the Catman.

It seems like picking Cats was a no-brainer to me as well. You need money for TV, radio, media ads, etc. Lhota is a great candidate but cannot write his own check. He needs to get $$ from the same well that the Dems are going to....Cats can write the check for the necessary campaign expenditures.
What would help Sullivan is if he first corrected his CFB records to accurately refect what he has actually raised. Sullivan shows a total of just under $15K. In fact he has several duplicate transactions on his statement 5 and 6. He has had months to correct this. For example one from his father for $2500 appears twice. When these corrections are made his total will be reduced by quite a bit. That is only the tip of his CFB violations in his mission to get our tax money in matching funds.
Will never undestand why he wasn't vetted how did he get past exec comm. There are at least 3 contradictory 911 stories of Sullivan's selfless heroism. My favorite is the one where after saving Pablo's life AND surviving the towers collapsing he DROVE HOME TO JERSEY. Yep somehow the amazing magical Sullivan DROVE HOME to Jersey despite his car being near 1 Liberty and all bridges and tunnels closed to traffic. The icing on the cake when he got home to Jersey----His family knew nothing of the national terrorist attacks.
If you think the Dems will go easy on Sullivan's oh so many issues-- I have to disagree. He will make us all look foolish for supporting him and allowing his name on our line.
