The Fox campaign switches from incomplete Robert F. Kennedy Quotes to Broken Curbs and Bagels --- campaign keeps searching for its theme and its voice

This Brian Fox phenomenon is amazing  ---  absolutely,  AMAZING  ---  like "Seinfeld"  ---  it [HE ???] is a show about nothing.....

The  Fox campaign goes from an out-of-context Robert Kennedy quote  ---  to the candidate himself offering folks bagels & coffee to help on his campaign  ---  to, again the candidate himself, looking like he's helping somebody change a tire, while whining about a six-to-eight inch divot in a curb in Bay Ridge  >>> and calling for somebody in government to repair it immediately <<<

The theme of the Brian Fox for City Council campaign is now clear  >>>  there is no theme  >>>  and just as important, the Fox campaign still has no recognizable and strong voice on any matter of public concern or interest

When a campaign reaches this point in the election cycle, it has to have some meaning.that connects with the people.

For the longest time, we thought that Fox and friends had a messaging and/or imaging problem. It has now become obvious that Brian Fox and his team of highly paid non-professionals connected to Liam McCabe has a problem with substance. To put it bluntly, there is no "THERE" there !!!!!

The almost daily outpouring of one nonsensicle thing after another on the Brian Fox for City Council social media sites, especially on Fox's campaign Facebook page, demonstrates over and over that Republican-Conservative candidate Brian Fox has nothing worthwhile to offer as a political program, or even as an occasional meaningful observation and/or position on anything.

Even Fox's most recurrent jibes at his opponent, incumbent Democrat City Councilman Justin Brannan, have been anemic.  The main example being  ---  repeatedly claiming that Brannan defunded the NYPD, and that he, Fox, would "refund the police"  ---  which is done in a factless and unverifiable way; even though a fact-based and credible attack on those points would be possible, if Fox and his campaign would bother to do the work and truly engage on that subject.  Surely, Brannan would raise many explanations and excuses, but a fully prepared and believable Brian Fox could win such a debate.

BUT  >>> ENOUGH FANTACY AND PIPE-DREAMING <<<   We haven't gotten any of that good stuff from Fox and his campaign thus far;  and we aren't likely to get any of it from now until election day, either.

It must a beer drinking game at Liam's house (I mean Liams mother in laws house) where a new dumb issue comes out after each drink or shot.

AS YOU CAN PLAINLY SEE FOX AND FRIENDS QUICKLY ABANDONED STANDARD ENGLISH IN THEIR LATEST HASTY, CARELESS, AND VAIN ATTEMPT >>> TO ARTICULATE SOMETHING THAT MIGHT SEEM LIKE REAL POSITIONS ON REAL ISSUES RELEVANT TO THE VOTERS OF THE 43RD COUNCIL DISTRICT <<<

SINCE THE FOX CAMPAIGN'S MOST RECENT POSTING IS SO TYPICAL OF EVEYTHING DONE BY THE FOX CAMPAIGN THUS FAR; AND BECAUSE IT IS SO, SO, SO EMBARRASSINGLY BAD >>> WE HAVE DECIDED TO RE-POST IT RIGHT HERE ON OUR BLOG AS "PART TWO" OF OUR POST --- AND THAT BY DOING SUCH A QUICK AND VERBATUM RE-POSTING OF THE FOX CAMPAIGN IN IT'S OWN WORDS, WE WOULD BE GIVING IT OUR BEST RIPOSTE.....

UPDATE & BACKFILL (CONTINUED): [PART TWO OF THREE PARTS] THE "THIS JUST GETS BETTER AND BETTER..... OR WOULD THAT BE WORSE AND WORSE" EDITION

HERE IS THE START OF THE COMPLETE TEXT AND IDENTIFIERS OF THE BRIAN FOX FOR CITY COUNCIL POSTING FROM EARLIER TODAY >>> OBVIOUSLY IN RESPONSE TO OUR MAIN TEXT ABOVE

"Brian Fox for City Council
[@ Noon, 9/20/2021]

Good Afternoon District 43! My campaign has pooled together 7 key questions as to where I stand on policy and specific issues that my neighbors have voiced. As we continue to scale out the campaign, it's important for everyone to know where I stand and why electing me will be the change our community needs.

Below are the Q & As:

1) What are you going to do about the drag racing? And what makes you think you can actually get something done about it?
I will refund the police, including plain clothes units that have been removed by our current city government. These units would be capable of blending into the gathered crowds that appear at these events and arresting drag racers on the spot, thereby deterring further illegal road activities. I will also work to assure that those who have participated in street races are additionally charged with reckless endangerment and face stiffer fines. We need these criminals to face jail time and be taken off our streets.

2) What are you going to do about the crime in bay ridge?
I will refund the police as well as secure additional funding to add even more NYPD officers in order to force back the tide of crime from the emboldened criminal actors in our city. I will also heavily promote and fund efforts to reestablish community policing, which will rebuild trust between our government, our community, and our cops. This will restore morale among the men and women of law enforcement who have faced abusive and incriminating policies from our politicians. It will also create a greater societal pressure against criminals who will face a government, community, and police force who stand together to make our home a better place to live. In addition, I will vehemently oppose and work to reverse the bail reform my opponent has endorsed, which allows criminals to act without consequence.

3) What are you going to do about the trash?
I will increase funding to clean up our neighborhoods. I will make sure that DSNY has what it needs to pick up trash multiple times a day. I will also fund boots on the ground from organizations that dispatch crews for trash pickup. I will even go a step further and fund, organize, and participate in community cleanup events aimed at clearing up known problem spaces for waste buildup...." UPDATE & BACKFILL [CONTINUED]: THE "THIS JUST GETS BETTER AND BETTER..... OR WOULD THAT BE WORSE AND WORSE" EDITION [PART THREE OF THREE PARTS --- CONTINUED TEXT OF BRIAN FOX POST FROM EARLIER TODAY]

"....

4) What are you going to do to help make the subway runs smoother in bay ridge?
I will work vigorously with state lawmakers to bring much needed MTA service back to our community. Our taxes and fares pay to run these lines and this is not acceptable. The MTA is no stranger to budget surpluses and it’s about time some of that excess finds its way to southwest Brooklyn. I will fight to make sure that what are falsely perceived to be unneeded funds are used for our neighborhoods, which have seen a terrible decline in service.
5) What are you going to do about the 68th not doing their jobs?

I stand strongly by our police and have every bit of confidence in them. I do also understand that with the incriminating policies enacted by our politicians against them and budget cuts they have suffered from these same elected officials, there is unfortunately a consequential loss of morale. This morale can be restored by electing someone to office who has nothing but respect for the NYPD. I will work with the police regularly to lower crime, raise community awareness of their vital job, and establish trusting ties between our community and the officers who lovingly serve it. I will do this by fiercely supporting community policing.

6) What are you going to do to improve life in bay ridge other then thise issues?
In addition to my other actions, I will introduce further legislation to crack down on illegal conversions and work with community and agency leaders to ensure strict enforcement of laws against these dangerous building changes. I will also introduce legislation to create the New York City Malfeasance Review Board, a civilian organization with the authority to punish city elected officials who have broken the law. This review board would have authority over City Council Members, Borough Presidents, the Mayor, the Comptroller, and the Public Advocate. Punishments would include the removal of privileges such as parking placards and reductions in pay. This would help to protect citizens from abuses of power such as the rampant speeding committed by my opponent. Further, I am an animal lover and will fight for all New York City animal shelters to be “no kill”.

7) Why should I vote for you?
In addition to all of the above, a vote for me will be a vote for you. We have been lied to, ignored, and treated miserably by the career politicians in office. They’re in their own club and they neglect the very people who entrusted them with power while backslapping each other. I’m not a politician and I don’t care about power and privilege. I’m a fed up New Yorker like many of you who thinks it’s time for a change...."

Good old Poxy Foxy!

Doesn't Fox or anybody advising him know what the City Council does or how it works? Even if he was elected, he couldn't do any of what he said in all those questions and answers. So, how can he get away with all this BS and have anybody believe it?

Anonymous said...

The Fox campaign is going even worse than I had expected and I had very low expectations

Anonymous said...

It's Fox himself that's the problem, because his personal look and sound are both very bad. Whenever anybody sees him, he looks like he's wearing the same walking around clothes all the time. What he has to say is no better. In the first article about him in a long time in the Home Reporter, the first thing that Fox said was that he was hungry. One of his most recent videos on his own Facebook account showed him by himself eating bagels, and looking for friends to have a bagel with him. Obviously, Fox wants his campaign to be more about food than clothes.

The biggest issue missed in Fox's seven simple questions up above was, "When do we eat?"

RESPONSE: THE "NO MATTER WHERE YOU LOOK --- WHAT YOU SEE IS ANOTHER FOX CAMPAIGN SCREW UP" EDITION

TO ANY AND ALL OF THE FOLKS THAT HAVE SAID NEGATIVE THINGS ABOUT BRIAN FOX ON THIS THREAD

TWO THINGS: 1) YOU'RE ALL COMPLETELY CORRECT; AND 2) WHEN IT COMES TO FOX, IT NEVER SEEMS TO STOP OR EVEN GET ANY BETTER --- IT'S JUST ONE CARELESS AND THOUGHTLESS MISTAKE AFTER ANOTHER.....

A little more than an hour ago, his campaign posted a canned greeting for the beginning of Fall, obviously because today is September 21st and the beginning of Fall.

Now, how could anybody screw that up ??? Using a canned greeting --- why, this was "Fool Proof" !!! Ah, but you forget, some fools are ingenious and resourceful !!!!!

What does the canned greeting for the first day of Fall actually show and say ??? It shows a beautiful harvest moon with blossoms and Japanese lanterns; and it says "Happy Mid Autumn Festival".....

Mid-autumn is more than a month-and-a-half off. What 'festival' are the Fox folks telling us about here, and why. They could have just as easily wished everybody a "Happy Oktoberfest" while they were at it; at least that's only nine days away.....

The Brian Fox “campaign” has trouble spelling basic words like “tough”. They actually wrote “TUFF” on crime when touting Congresswoman Malliotakis endorsement. No fan of Brannan who should be vulnerable but he is going to win this campaign is already over so sad.

I’ll always jump at the chance to make fun of Fox and his vest - but it is actually time for the Mooncake Festival or Mid-Autumn Festival!

RESPONSE: THE "OMG, I NEVER THOUGHT THAT BRIAN FOX WOULD GO ALONG WITH A CHINESE THING....." EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 3:17 PM"

HOW COULD ANYBODY HAVE EXPECTED THAT THE BRIAN FOX CAMPAIGN TEAM LED BY LIAM MC CABE WOULD POST A CANNED GREETING FOR A BUNCH OF CHINESE FOLKS LIVING IN THE 43RD COUNCIL DISTRICT --- AFTER ALL, AREN'T THOSE FOLKS A BIG BUNCH OF THE PEOPLE FROM WHOM BRIAN AND LIAM WANT US TO TAKE BACK OUR NEIGHBORHOODS --- BECAUSE FOX AND FRIENDS WOULD "LIKE" TO MAKE THOSE NEIGHBORHOODS "... WHITE AGAIN" ???

Lately, Fox has reversed his earlier McCabe-inspired pitches to Bay Ridge's and Dyker Heights' social conservative base in favor of a more inscrutable Oriental approach, probably at the urging of Chung Dick and other Asian types.

Oddly, Fox is still going very hard against what he calls "illegal conversions" >>> in Dyker Heights that is definitely an anti-Chinese move.

We're only guessing, but Fox and McCAbe probably don't like the look of stainless steel front doors and railings either.

GM
Does Liam's mother in laws house have "stainless steel front doors and railings"? Is it an illegal conversion for Liam to live there??

Anonymous said...

But Liam doesn't live in Dyker, 841. He lives in that little corner of Bay Ridge where you can walk to the Lief, but which is becoming more diversely cosmopolitan, and less "white" every day. With a place like O'Sullivan's closing at the other end of Bay Ridge, can the Lief be very far behind?

RESPONSE: THE "UPDATE SINCE OUR LAST" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 8:41 AM"; "... AT 9:36 AM" & ALL YOU OTHER SPORTS FANS AND HAPPY CAMPERS

FIRST, WE CAN ALL AGREE THAT LIAM IS A BAY RIDGE GUY, NOT A DYKER HEIGHTS GUY.....

SECOND, IT ISN'T JUST LIAM'S LITTLE CORNER OF BAY RIDGE THAT IS "... BECOMING MORE DIVERSELY COSMOPOLITAN, AND LESS 'WHITE' EVERY DAY...."

THIRD, BRIAN FOX'S CAMPAIGN SOCIAL MEDIA IS ESPECIALLY LAME FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS --- WITH A SWAG DONNIE WAHLBERG "BLUE BLOODS" THING GOING ON [BTW, LIKE BRIAN FOX, NEITHER DONNIE WAHLBERG NOR BRIDGET MOYNAHAN ARE FROM BAY RIDGE OR ANY OTHER PART OF BROOKLYN] --- AND THEN FOX DID ANOTHER INFOMERCIAL FOR/ABOUT THE E & J BOUTIQUE, OBVIOUS PAYBACK FOR FAVORS DONE FOR THE CAMPAIGN

As the cops are instructed to handle crowds around auto wrecks, bad injuries, and obvious crime scenes --- so too, the Brian Fox for City Council campaign --- "It's all over; nothing to see here; please, move along, let the team from the Medical Examiner's Office get through and do their work."

UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "WE GOT THE MEATS" EDITION

NOW, BRIAN FOX IS DOING HIS CAMPAIGN FACEBOOK PAGE LIKE IT'S A "LIFESTYLES PAGE" IN ONE OF THE NYC DAILIES.....

HOW ELSE DOES ONE EXPLAIN BRIAN FOX'S "TBT" POST WITH A PICTURE OF A TURKISH CHEF THAT IS KNOWN AS "SALT BAE" --- BUT WHO IS REALLY A KHURDISH FELLOW NAMED "NUSRET GOKCI"

Mr. Brian Fox, if that's his real name, would better serve the voters of the 43rd Council District in Brooklyn if he told all of us some real facts about himself.

LIKE >>> WHERE IS HE FROM ??? By now, everybody should know that Brian Fox ain't from Brooklyn, and is only a short timer in Bay Ridge.

OR LIKE >>> WHAT IS HIS EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND ????? By now, everybody should know that Brian Fox uses English like he's a foreigner.

OR LIKE >>> WHAT HAS HE DONE TO EARN A LIVING AS AN ADULT ON HIS OWN ??????? By now, everybody should know that when Brian Fox talks about his background in business, we get a lot of tall tales and mischievous explanations about his entrepreneurships hither and yon.

But thanks to today's post on Facebook, now we know that, because of Brian's rather vague association with "Salt Bae," Fox can make the same claim as Arby's that "WE HAVE THE MEATS !!!"

WHAT NEXT ??? BECAUSE OF SOME VAGUE ASSOCIATION WITH "SALT LAKE" BRIAN FOX WILL MAKE THE SAME CLAIM AS JOSEPH SMITH >>> "THANKS TO THE ANGEL MORONI AND THE GOLDEN PLATES, WE WROTE 'THE BOOK OF MORMON'....."

RESPONSE: THE "POWERS OF BINDING AND LOOSENIG --- STILL BOUND, BUT A LITTLE LOOSER !!!" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 3:33 PM"

WE KNOW AND YOU KNOW --- BUT WHO ELSE KNOWS ???

Ghorra surely doesn't know; and neither does Brian Fox. Do you think that Liam knows ? What about Johnny Quakes ??? Lucretia knows, but she won't tell. Now, Maresca and Chamberas they follow the practice of "... don't ask and don't tell...".
