There is one big problem --- all of Brian Fox's us-against-them "take back our neighborhoods" bullying braggadocious bravado is completely not what Maurren Mahoney's sort of new agey, Kumbaya and community comradeship to stamp out bullying is all about.....
Here's the rub, Maureen Mahoney (Fitzpatrick) is a woman on a mission..... And her son Daniel's 2016 tragedy is still a local scandal.....
But an alliance of convenience with the likes of the Republican-Conservative Candidate for City Council Brian Fox in the hope of advancing "Daniel's Law" is fraught with peril, because Maureen Mahoney doesn't know anything about the bullying in Brian's own past..... THAT'S BECAUSE NONE OF US DO..... AND THAT'S BECAUSE BRIAN FOX AND HIS HANDLERS WANT TO KEEP IT THAT WAY.....
What we do know is that Brian Fox was a BMOC varsity hockey jock in high school in New Jersey..... He then went on to play semi-pro hockey for a while, and he developed a rep as an "enforcer." And we can only guess at the goings on at all those hyper-masculine booze bashes for "business" that Fox repeatedly touted while he was a Wall-Streeter and then a high-tech recruiter.
We also have seen Brian Fox in action as a local candidate for City Council right here in Brooklyn --- where his bullying style is well-established, and now very familiar all around (remember Fox's campaign team tearing down signs at the Stroll on Third Avenue, with Fox even trying to bully an event organizer Chip Cafierro right on Third Avenue during the "Stroll...").....

The reality was that Councilman Justin Brannan was thoughtfully discussing very important local matters on national televison, while Brian Fox was doing a teensy bit of "me too - me too" mimmickry on his not very effective campaign's Facebook page --- but somehow with Fox's being stuck in a time warp showing pre-storm photos that had nothing to do with what Fox was saying about the storm or its aftermath.
Justin does whats good for Justin. Fox is out helping people. Justin gets on TV.
i saw justin on his media tour and he failed to mention that the floods came from clogged sewers. this is from his March 2020 sanitation cuts he pushed through city council.
925, if you intentionally are telling everybody that the catastrophic floods associated with perhaps the biggest rain event ever to hit the NYC Metro area were caused by clogged sewers due to sanitation cuts, then you obviously are either lying, or are wilfully ignorant of the facts, or are completely misinformed from listening to the lies being spread by Brian Fox and or his consultants and associates as to how and why the storm sewer system failed. The out-of-date combination/interconnected storm and sanitary sewer lines were completely overwhelmed by the total volume of water from the storm; many homes' basements or other low points were flooded by water coming up from the household drains and traps. The proof that it was the event itself and nothing to do with any of the NYC operating budget items is that the same catastrophic flooding happened throughout the NYC Metro area not just inside the NYC limits.
Since Brian Fox has made the rather significant claim that he was helping people during the storm, maybe he can tell us: who he was helping; what the exact problem was that he was helping with; when he was doing it; and how he happened to be there during the storm to be available?
These facts are necessary to "fact check" Brian Fox and the Brian Fox Campaign for CIty Council, becuase Fox and his campaign are seriously "FACT CHALLENGED"; and they have been caught out in lies many times in the past during this campaign.

1135, no matter what you say, all normal police functions related to anything having to do with any and all street crime were fully funded throughout Justin Brannan's term to date. Also, until the COVID-19 outbreak, total police funding was up and local crime rates were down.
Brian and Liam need to get the real facts and be ready to debate crime and policing based on facts not slogans.

Even though an old lawyer, who's also a well-known Democrat wag, is out-of-town on vacation, he's gotten an inside scoop from somebody on the other side of the political divide. He said that he knows many of the people trying to keep the Catholic Academies viable at the Bay Ridge-Dyker Heights end of Brooklyn; and some of the political old hands think that giving somebody like Maureen Mahoney [Fitzpatrick] an open mike at a GOP-Conservative sponsored political event doesn't help that at all.

Because the Arielle Scarcella thing went over like a lead balloon, this latest thing can't be cancelled without crippling the Conservatives' 2021 campaign in Brooklyn completely. There are a lot of ways to fix this and minimize the damage; I'm sure that Kassar will figure out something.
My prayers are with Maureen Mahoney. Her son was bullied the same time justin brannen was taunting the disabled person in councilman Gentiles district office. There was a lawsuit about these events.
949, you are mistaken. There was some kind if lawsuit brought by a disgruntled staffer against NYC and Councilman Gentile about some incidents prior to 2016.
Councilman Gentile and Gentile's Chief of Staff prior to Brannan, named Mancuso, were mentioned in the allegations, but Justin Brannan was not in the case. The case against Gentile was dismissed, but for some reason the lawyers for NYC and NYC Controller Stringer chose to settle the case against the City rather than go to trial.

When mentioning people negatively, as you have done, you should be very specific with your reasons for doing so, unless it's something that is widely known or believed to be so.
Opinions on a variety of things including what constitutes "bullying""" and or "Islamophobia" might very well differ, however saying that somebody is this, that or the other should not be done lightly or without some foundation in fact.
