That is especially true for Brian Fox in 2021 --- so far in about six months of trying, he hasn't made a dent in Boss Brannan's armor anywhere in the 43rd Council District --- as a matter of fact, Brian Fox has worn his weaknesses and short comings on his sleave from the get-go --- and we have been brutal in our observations of them, and almost as cruel in our criticisms of each faux pas that has rattled out of the Liam McCabe managed Fox campaign virtually like machine-gun fire
However, tonight is momentous, if Fox. McCabe and the Fishmans can turn things around with a good and professional fund raiser, it might just be enogh of a spark to ignite what upto now has been as effective as using waterlogged matches on green and moist kindling
A good haul of matching funds elligible donations could bring the Fox coffers up to a level of competitive from where it is right now, barely able to pay the rent and utilities, and McCabe and his family for their services to the campaign.

UNLESS A LOT OF THE NO-SHOWS SENT IN CHECKS FOR THE FULL FARE, THIS EXTRAVAGANZA WAS A FLOP --- WITH JUST OVER TWENTY-FIVE (25) IN THE HOUSE (ACTUALLY IN THE YARD AT THE SO-CALLED "GINGERBREAD HOUSE")
Still no crowd, and so many of the same faces at Fox's other functions..... And there are just so many more of the old GOP and Brooklyn Conservatives among the missing.
This isn't something like Billy Beane or Paul dePodesta would have planned, because it was anything but a "Moneyball" play..... It was much closer to a very "Small Ball" bunt to move a tying runner along..... And certainly nobody needs to be cast to play Mets owner Steve Cohen, because "Billions" are far from the numbers that are involved, or "millions" either --- it looks like it'll be a lot closer to a few thousand bucks, at the most, and they'll be lucky to make that, because I'm sure that the twenty-five or so "in the house" included a few freebies and a few discounted admissions.
