The Brooklyn GOP hasn't had anything close to a fresh coat of paint in over a generation --- just about the time Marty Golden first ran for the NYC Council in the last decade of the last century of the last millennium in 1997-1998 --- that's twenty-three or twenty-four years ago
How bad has it gotten ??? Well, I have it on fairly good authority that Beer Can Bob Capano is telling folks that he is almost confident (note: not "almost certain") that he can beat Brian Fox in a primary for the GOP City Council line for the 43rd Council District --- if it actually comes down to that --- he even bandied about that Ghorra & Co. were terrified at seeing the submission of large numbers of GOP signatures on certain petitions
Don't be fooled --- Capano is anything but a fresh coat of paint for the Brooklyn GOP --- he has already signaled that what he is offering is not fresh paint, but instead, good old-fashioned "White Wash" --- At a time when Republicans are being buffeted by false charges of "Jim Crow" and racism from all sides, don't be surprised if you see a healthy dose of the real thing coming out of the joint Capano-Sliwa campaigns in the upcoming GOP primaries
Now, I'm not ready to call Capano and whoever is allied with and/or supporting him a bunch of racists..... YET.....
However, let's see what happens next.....

The other day I was shopping for groceries at Bohack and as I proceeded east on aisle 3 I was stuck in traffic due to a broken glass jar of Tang. People tried to go around the mess only to get orange stuff all over the soles of the latest hush puppies. It was a problem. The solutio most of us take for granted.
It was at that moment I realized who we needed in the city council.

Then, that saves us at this blog having to tag Capano's always trite and often mendacious material, as well as not have to correct his typos, like the quoted material above.
How does the NYPD and the PBA feel about Bob Capano's advocacy of universal "concealed carry" permits in NYC, and Curtis Sliwa's plan to defund, and largely deauthorize and disestablish the NYPD Transit Division?
If Bob Capano announced that he were running for City Council, and a tree fell down deep in a forest with nobody close enough to hear it, which would be noticed less?
And I have a related follow-up question: If Bob Capano fell down where everybody could see it, would more people laugh than the number that cheered?

If Bob Capano announced that he were running for city council then the same thing would happen the last 3 or 4 times Bob ran for city council. He'll lose.
