Joseph Hayon, the Republican-Conservative Candidate for the NYS Assembly from the 41st AD put up an “Open Letter to Carl Paladino” on his facebook page and as an e-mail press release — Hayon uses his letter to former New York GOP Standard Bearer to continue his Jeremiad against his Democratic Opponent AND “back-stabbing from various sources within”

2012 GOP Assembly Candidate Joseph Hayon to 2010 GOP Gubernatorial Candidate Carl Paladino   —   “After all the political back-stabbing you experienced during your run for governor.... I face my own dose of back-stabbing from various sources within the political system, [therefore]  I fully understand that [the] decision for you to help me was not easy to make, and that it was one made out of pure principle. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Joseph Hayon used his “Open Letter to Carl Paladino” for what looks like a strong declaration of an open intra-party alliance going forward with the most significant independent voice active in the Republican Party in New York State, Carl Paladino. Simultaneously, he used the same document to reaffirm his strong socially conservative pro-traditional-family and religiously based attack on his inter-party political opponent in the 2012 election, Helene Weinstein.

Joseph Hayon made it clear that his present campaign was aimed specifically at those politicians who pursued and sought to advance the socially radical agenda behind the mandatory teaching of alternative lifestyles like those favorably portrayed in “Heather Has Two Mommies.” For those leaders, who intentionally mislead the public....  the following verse will eventually apply to them. It already happened to Weiner, Kruger, and Weprin ***  ‘For if you will remain silent at this time, relief and salvation will come to the Jews from another source, and you and the house of your father will be lost.’ (Esther 4:14).”

It is not to long a leap to conclude that Mr. Hayon means that the above scriptural admonition should be read as a specific threat against Hayon’s opponent, the incumbent Democrat Assembly Member,  Helene Weinstein. This implied threat is especially salient since, largely through Hayon’s efforts  dozen's of local rabbis endorsed the Republican candidate in his race against the socially liberal Helene Weinstein  —   going so far as to declare that it would be a  religious sin for any Orthodox Jew to support or vote for Weinstein, as follows:
“It is therefore Assur [forbidden according to Jewish law] to vote for or provide funding, campaign assistance, public recognition, or any type of support to the campaign of NY Assemblywoman Helene Weinstein.”

Joseph Hayon pledged [both to Carl Paladino and to the general public] to continue throughout the remainder of this campaign and into the future “I will not remain silent.  I pledge to put God and the American people first.”
