... AND >>> why --- in times like these with all kinds of skeletons falling out of the closet left and right --- is this big bear of a man being put out front by one of the Brooklyn GOP's top tiny operatives for "Lurch" Barsamian, and Jerry Kassar's favorite sock puppet since "Lambchop" --- Vito LaBella ?????
They say >>> A picture is worth a thousand words --- so here is your grand for today:
This could just be the beginning of a long time ago kingdom by the sea story told in tantalizing segments --- straight out of Edgar Allan Poe --- especially if the theme is >>> 2023 connections to the Brooklyn GOP and its insiders <<< and sudden unexplained deaths --- recent and past.....
Let's wait and see.....

50 years ago today Malcolm Wilson was sworn in as the 50th Governor of New York. After that life was never the same.
Those men look so happy & gay
When the bigger guy shown in the picture above was more in the swing of things at his big job at a local hospital, he used to be a regular visitor to Brooklyn DA Hynes personal offices, first on Joralemon Street and then on Adams Street. It was reported to be a very interesting relationship that worked well for both of them for a long, long time. Many things that happenned at the big guy's place of business in Sunset Park never saw the light of day. As far back as Hynes' first term as DA, a very big deal that happened at the big guy's private office in a volunteer headquarters in Bay Ridge really had a lid clamped down on it. But the opposite happened in 2009, during DA Hynes' last term in office, when he pressed hard charges against an old lady from Sunset Park dying of cancer, who was accused of trying to have the big guy shown in the picture above murdered. Hynes even pushed hard to have the old lady die in Rykers, because the big guy wanted it that way for his own safety, but a judge let her go home to die.
yes everyone at Langone knows about the sandwich lady Myles had put away. it was in the daily news but I dont think myles used his hynes connection just to kill the old sandwich lady.
BTW: Is it still "Brother Myles" or is he back to using his maiden name Bob?
It is Brother Myles Davis who lives in a Seminary on Oliver Street. Or so he says.
I did a google search of this guy brother myles and it shows he makes over 200k a year pluse 18k in expenses at Langone. I guess he skipped that vow of poverty.
This is a ridiculous blind-item blog.
Hynes lived on Oliver Street. Or so he said.
Gail, stop the nonsense and get down to the real stuff--
The date June 9, 1990
The time: afternoon
The place: private executive office at 8507 7th Avenue, Brooklyn NY 11228
The event: sudden unexplained death of NYPD officer on premises
The local and citywide news coverage: almost none with few accurate details
Most interesting bit of urban legend: some time afterward, one of the IAD detectives investigating the case called the victim's family and he told them that it didn't look like suicide to him, but he was taken off the case.
A longtime BRAVO volunteer, an EMT, a member of the FDNY and the NYPD; and a funeral at OLA attended by over a thousand people, including almost all of the BRAVO volunteers at the time.
However, it was kind of sad that no street in Bay Ridge was ever renamed in her honor, because her family was accused of making unnecessary trouble; so instead, her name was dragged through the mud, sort of quietly, but really not, so that there would be no further recriminations all around.
1234, what 'real stuff'?
Agree w/1125. Everyone here is pussyfooting sideways to avoid saying 'real stuff.'
ANNOUNCEMENT: THE "ENOUGHT 'REAL STUFF' FOR THIS BLOG POSTING TO GET LOTS OF HITS" EDITION
SINCE THE FEATURED POST ABOVE WAS POSTED ON THIS INDEPENDENT GOP BLOG FOR BROOKLYN AND STATEN ISLAND --- THERE HAVE BEEN MORE THAN 10,000 CLICKS TO THIS BLOG --- AND THAT IS BY FAR THE MOST HITS EVER FOR US IN SUCH A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME
Admittedly, our posting, "Who is this bigtime, behind the scenes insider, old-timer in and out of the Bay Ridge NGO & Medical establishment --- and a man of many mysteries and mysterious connectons ???" was not specifically chosen by over 10,000 of this blog's viewers --- since this site currently "opens" to that featured posting, the over 10,000 viewers who clicked to this site, automatically viewed that lead posting [minus the relatively few that clicked to specific other featured articles during the same time frame].
10,000 viewers about something that happened somewhere with someone thirty years ago. Yeah I buy that.
cant we just let men hold each other
RESPONSE: THE "MAIN POSTING ABOVE DID NOT MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT '... SOMETHING THAT HAPPENED SOMEWHERE WITH SOMEONE THIRTY YEARS AGO...'." EDITION
TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 2:41 PM"
YOU OBVIOUSLY KNOW THE PEOPLE, THE PLACE, AND THE DRAMATIC AND MYSTERIOUS SITUATION THAT WE WERE DESCRIBING AND/OR SUGGESTING, BUT BEING CAREFUL TO TALK OUR WAY AROUND WITHOUT BEING EXPLICIT AS TO ALL OF THE DETAILS THAT WE KNOW AND CAN PROVE.....
This is the closest that we came to saying anything "... about something that happened somewhere with someone thirty years ago...." >>> ".... This could just be the beginning of a long time ago kingdom by the sea story told in tantalizing segments --- straight out of Edgar Allan Poe --- especially if the theme is >>> 2023 connections to the Brooklyn GOP and its insiders <<< and sudden unexplained deaths --- recent and past.... Let's wait and see....".
In June of 1990, John Guido had recently retired as the Chief of the IAD Command in the time period a few years before June 9, 1990; however, in about 1986, John Guido observed that ".... "Five years after I am gone, there will be a major corruption scandal [in the NYPD]...." and that ".... There are many cultures in this [NYC] Police Department, but the corruption part is stronger than any other. And, a lot of times, it's the sharper cops who are into corruption."
On June 9, 1990, non-New Yorker Lee P. Brown was the relatively newly serving Police Commissioner; but in 1992 he resigned after several major NYPD corruption scandals, and the Mayor's appointment of a non-police commission to investigate NYPD corruption called "The Mollen Commission".
The Mollen Commission issued a report in July 1994; and it's conclusion was that: ".... Today's corruption is not the corruption of Knapp Commission days. Corruption then was largely a corruption of accommodation, of criminals and police officers giving and taking bribes, buying and selling protection. Corruption was, in its essence, consensual. Today's corruption is characterized by brutality, theft, abuse of authority, and active police criminality...." And also Commission Chairman Milton Mollem said at the time. ".... "We find... shocking the incompetence and the inadequacies of the [NYPD] to police itself...."
Even though the central recommendation of the Mollen Commission was the creation of a permanent commission to investigate corruption at the NYPD and monitor the Internal Affairs Bureau, that was never implemented.
Thus everybody needs to know that no investigation of any sudden and unexplained death of an NYPD police officer on June 9, 1990 in the private executive office at 8507 7th Avenue, Brooklyn NY 11228 can and/or could be relied upon in any way in the 1990s, the early 2000s, the 2010s, and/or now in the 2020s. Thus the case of what happened in the private executive office at 8507 7th Avenue, Brooklyn NY 11228 on June 9, 1990 needs to be reopened and freshly investigated using the more recent scientific testing since 1990, including DNA.
On June 9, 1990, Daniel F. Sullivan was a three-star NYPD Chief in charge of the IAD. He "retired" under extreme pressure in 1992, but during his era of command of the IAD, NYPD IAD field commanders and officers were notorious for not investigating serious and/or tough cases; and there was a widespread practice of burying complaints, investigative results, and other material within the complex filing system used by the NYPD IAD at the time.
In other words, that's another reason to reopen and freshly investigate the case of what happened in the private executive office at 8507 7th Avenue, Brooklyn NY 11228 on June 9, 1990 using the more recent scientific forensic testing since 1990, including DNA, and with all of the sensitive investigative notes together in one case file.
