When it comes to the question --- "Who benefits from the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines ???" --- It's really tough to come up with Russia as the logical answer.....

The first suggestion that the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines was a U.S. operation did not come from Russia, but instead came from the former Polish Foreign Minister, now a representative to the European Parliament, thanking the U.S. for doing it

The U.S. has long opposed to the Nord Stream and had repeatedly urged Germany to halt them, saying they increased Europe’s energy dependence on Russia and decreased western security interests  ---  and in particular,  on February 7, 2022, Joe Biden threatened to terminate the Nord Stream pipelines if Russia invaded Ukraine

Biden's personal denials yesterday were one of his typical tells  ---  the only thing he didn't say was "I give you my word as a 'Biden' !!!"

The existing Nord Strean pipelines were filled with gas but not supplying it to Europe

Yesterday in Moscow, Vladmir Putin stated the obvious about the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines.  At a ceremony announcing the annexation of four regions of Ukraine into Russia, Putin stated that Western “Anglo-Saxons” have now turned from imposing sanctions on Russia to “terror attacks” on the pipelines for the transfer of Russian natural gas to western Europe in what he described as an attempt to “destroy the European energy infrastructure.”  Then he added >>>  “Those who profit from it have done it,” without naming the United States in particular.

In Washington, Joe Biden felt personally compelled to deny Putin’s sabotage claims against the United States,  as follows:  “It was a deliberate act of sabotage. And now the Russians are pumping out disinformation and lies. We will work with our allies to get to the bottom [of] precisely what happened....  Just don’t listen to what Putin’s saying. What he’s saying we know is not true.”

Meanwhile, at the United Nations, a spokesman for the Russian state-owned company Gazprom, which is the majority stakeholder in the Nord Stream pipelines, told the UN Security Council that data regarding the sudden drop in pressure in the pipeline and the gas leakage “make it possible to say with certainty that the leaks in the pipelines was caused by physical damage.”  Other Russian officials say that they want a thorough international probe to assess the damage; and in particular, a  spokesman for Putin said “...  It looks like a terror attack, probably conducted on a state level.”

In a joint report delivered to the United Nations this week, the Danish and Swedish governments claimed that the leaks in the Nord Stream gas pipelines, which were built to carry gas to Germany, were caused by blasts equivalent to the power of “several hundred kilograms of explosive”.  And fhis now in, British Prime Minister Liz Truss said the series of explosions which severely damaged Russia’s undersea Nord Stream gas pipelines were an act of sabotage.  The UK prime minister was updated on developments in the situation unfolding in the Baltic Sea as she engaged in talks with the Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, in Downing Street on Saturday.
