Despite detailed intelligence coming into the Capitol Police, that particular police force's final instructions to its front line officers made no mention of the specific intelligence containing material that should have been forwarded in warnings to all relevant units in the preceeding weeks and final days leading up to the joint sesssion of Congress to certify the 2020 elction results.
For example, the Capitol Police Department's Jan. 5, 2021 Civil Disturbance Unit's plan for crowd and riot control contained this inexplicably toothless threat assessment --- "At this time there are no specific known threats related to the Joint Session of Congress - Electoral College Vote Certification."

Just three days after the breach of the Capitol Building by rioters on January 6, 2021, one of the Capitol Police's top intelligence analysts sent a blistering email to supervisors, blowing the whistle on what he described as their failure to heed clear intelligence warnings that had clearly identified specific right-wing agitators and intended violent riot leaders, who had been communicatiing their plans and instructions to storm the Capitol and commit a variety of violent acts in and arround the Halls of Congress.
"We analysts have been reporting for weeks that Patriot groups are commenting on social media their intentions to storm the U.S. Capitol with overwhelming numbers," Capitol Police Intelligence Analyst Eric Hoar wrote in his Jan. 9, 2021 email to those in charge of Cpitol Hill security. "I don't know what was occurring behind the scenes, but I hope that information was briefed with the veracity it deserved, and not just a one-time Event Assessment.... The notion that valid intelligence is trumped by optics or political decisions is unacceptable and puts lives in danger.... This is a concept I've understood for a long time, and I know you are aware of this as well, and I hope its meaning is now OBVIOUS to ALL Officials, Commanders, and Stakeholders."
Mr. Hoar's cumulative assessment is directly supported by hundreds of pages of internal Capitol Police documents >>> showing that Hoar and his colleagues in the intelligence division of the Capitol Police had received detailed warnings from the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Marshals Service and D.C. Metropolitan Police that right-wing extremists were plotting to storm the Capitol and attack lawmakers.

The John Solomon report explained that GOP members of the House Administration Committee, led by ranking member Rep. Rodney Davis, R-Ill., now have testimony from multiple whistleblowers on the same issues concerning the real culpability for the lack of security at the Capitol on January 6, 2021 --- AND IT LOOKS LIKE IT HAS THE CAPITOL'S POLITICAL-ADMINISTRATIVE LEADERS IN THE MIX.
John Solomon certainly did not make any of his material up --- for example he got the testimony by Eric Hoar, a former top inelligence analyst for the Capitol Police on January 6th, from a "source" with actual knowledge of the events.
Those on Pelosi's committee, including the two Republicans she hand-picked with outspoken opposition to and criticism of President Trump, but none for her gross dereliction on January 6th, are still working on finding something during their investigation after holding multiple staged television hearings with select witnesses who condemned Trump. For their part, Congressional Republicans are planning to release a wealth of evidence they have gathered showing intelligence lapses and planning failures by the Capitol, D.C., and other Police Departments, and evidence of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's interference with the overall security apparatus leading up to the riots caused the security breakdown than led to the invasion of the Capitol and some mischief there by some people in silly hats and strange attire.
