On this day when a former police officer Derek Chauvin was thrice-convicted by a jury for killing a Black Man named George Floyd.....

Republican-Conservative Candidate for City Council Brian Fox is still leading his campaign Facebook feeds for both comments and photos with the trope and meme   >>>  "Enough said... NYPD Lives Matter"

>>>  TALK ABOUT TONE DEAF  <<<

>>> GIVE BRIAN FOX THE HELEN KELLER PITCH-PERFECT AWARD <<<

Brian, we here think that you are starting to give Joe Biden a run for his money in the race to achieve perfect  >>>  non compos mentis <<<  nirvana.....

Gail, things are worse for the 'other special needs' Brooklyn Republicans, who are locked in to Curtis Sliwa for Mayor. Earlier, Sliwa & Capano were proud as peacocks about a 2:00 PM 'Press Conference' to announce that Sliwa was deploying hundreds of his personal Guardian Angels vigilantes around the City to be ready for possible riots following a verdict in the Derek Chauvin trial. Sliwa and Capano are poster children for the notion that if you see every problem or challenge as a nail, then every answer is a hammer. However, Capano and Sliwa are really much smarter than a couple of hammers; together they are as smart as a bag of hammers.

The conviction of Derek Chauvin showed George Floyd's life really did matter to a justice system on trial. The verdict will not bring Floyd back from an unnecessary death nor will it erase the millions of injustices faced by Black Americans not recorded on cell phone video, or the Black community's dread during everyday encounters with police. The conviction of Derek Chauvin has also shown us that Brian Fox is an addlepate.

RESPONSE: THE "SOME SENSITIVE WHITE MEN'S ANSWERS LONG BEFORE THE KILLING, THE TRIAL AND THE VERDICT" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 9:04 AM"

YOUR OBSERVATIONS AND REMARKS, THOUGH SUPERFICIALLY APT, SUFFER FROM SEVERAL SIGNIFICANT AND OBVIOUS SHORTCOMINGS

ALSO, WE HERE ON THIS BLOG SPECIFICALLY TAKE ISSUE WITH YOUR ADDITIONAL IMPLIED CONCLUSION CONCERNING "BRIAN FOX"

ALL OF WHAT YOU SAID AND IMPLIED NEEDS TO BE TAKEN WITH A GRAIN OF SALT --- IT'S BEEN OFT-REPEATED AND WELL-SAID FOR ALMOST "FOUR SCORE AND SEVEN YEARS" NOW BY TWO SAGE WHITE MEN OF THE STAGE THROUGH THE VOICES THEIR STAGE-BLACK MINSTRELS --- AND IN RELIGIOUS CEREMONIALS FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS >>> "IT AIN'T NECESSARILY SO..."

We don't deny your "facts," or doubt your sincerely expressed point of view, or denigrate your intentions, however, your words seem too pat, and hastily deposited herein and posted above, under all the circumstances swirling around in less than the most recent twenty-four hours.

FOX NEWS and their counterparts in the MSM have rushed onto the airwaves, and the cables, and the internet to do their much expected chorus of slogans and propaganda --- certainly, most of what you said was repeated in a variety of ways by many since the Chauvin verdict was made public. It's also had been said and repeated many times by many folks since George Floyd was seen being pressed down into the ground until he died at the hands and knee of Police Officer Derek Chauvin --- each and every time such thoughts were uttered and observations were made, they would have been "...too pat, and hastily... posted..."

Similarly, your statement about BRIAN FOX and his addle pated state is perhaps both too hasty and perhaps too harshly expressed. Brian Fox is just a guy being put out there by other guys'n'dolls to do their bidding while he does his act. Just remember, everything that Brian Fox says, and everything that is said about him >>> WELL !!! >>> "IT AIN'T NECESSARILY SO..."

For everybody out there saying that Justin Brannan voted to defund the police, you will be completely rebutted and corrected by Brannan and the Brannan campaign. The facts are that Brannan actually voted to FUND THE POLICE to the tune of billions and billions and billions and billions and billions of dollars. What's more, Councilman Justin Brannan FUNDED the NYPD in amounts much higher than Marty Golden ever did while he was on the City Council.

Wait and see, when the November election votes are counted, Justin Brannan will win by more than a thousand votes, and most of that lead will be from Bay Ridge. The GOP and Conservatives shouldn't blame Brian Fox for the emerging 2021 fiasco, most of the blame goes to Kassar, Ghorra and Fran Vella-Marone.

UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "SECOND DAY AFTER THE CHAUVIN VERDICT" EDITION

AS OF NOON ON APRIL 21ST, THE "BRIAN FOX FOR CITY COUNCIL" FB PAGE IS STILL FROZEN SOLID WITH THE TROPE AND MEME "ENOUGH SAID -- NYPD LIVES MATTER".....

BUT THAT IS STILL BETTER THAN THE SWILL COMING FROM BOB CAPANO AND CURTIS SLIWA --- WHO KEEP TRYING TO STOKE THE FIRES OF RACIAL ANIMUS AND DRIVE A REAL WEDGE INTO OUR CITY'S PERCEIVED RACIAL DIVIDE

Social media provides an interesting snapshot of where people are or want to be at a given moment. Unfortunately, the GOP and GOP-related campaigns all around NYC seem to WANT another summer of violence --- in that regard, they are making common cause with the most radical BLM and ANTIFA elements. Leading all of that are folks like Capano and Sliwa.

Unfortunately, candidates like Brian Fox don't even try to step up to their momentous duties. When what is needed in our Republic is a Horatio Cocles or a Lucius Quintius Cincinnatus to weld us together and to lead against the barbarians close aboard, the likes of Brian Fox choose to be led and to follow the counsel of those that led us into this mess in the first place.

It has been said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Having Liam and Quaglione! running the Fox war room will only result in another loss for our side. Even the cops agree what Derek Chauvin did was wrong and he got what was coming to him. Brian Fox is a tone deaf buffoon to think he must "stand with NYPD lives" at a time like this. Ghorra should have drafted that Spanish woman to run against Boss Brannan. Yet another reason why Ghorra's ghotta gho.

The GOP and GOP-related campaigns all around NYC and here locally all want another summer of riots and violence and garbage cans on fire. They are upset at yesterday's verdict not only because they are racists but also because they think chaos leads people to vote GOP even though last year after a summer of riots and violence and garbage cans on fire everybody went and voted for Joe Biden and Andrew Cuomo

Speaking of which I have never seen Brian Fox and Horacio Sanz in the same place

Good point 4:03 PM

The Fox will trot out his campaign in September. All people need to know is deBlasios boy Justin voted to defund the 6 billion dollar police budget by 1 billion dollars.

Anonymous said...

1102, what makes you think people will "know" anything like that? If your numbers on NYPD spending are what Brian Fox intends to use in his campaign, they are at best budgetary estimates of an undefined aggregate of NYPD operating costs that is so completely meaningless as to be nearly bogus. Business analysts all said that the original NYPD budget was terribly bloated, with an expectation that there would be cuts due to COVID-19 revenue shortfalls. IN addition, There is at least another five billion dollars of spending on the NYPD beyond what is called "operating" expenses. Bottom line, the cuts in overall spending on the NYPD will be closer to a figure like .4 billion dollars, which is very much in line with cuts in other agencies within the NYC government.

Anonymous said...

yeah sure justin (4:08) that all sounds like BS.

Anonymous said...

Is the NYPD budget really 6 billion dollars? They can't keep us safe with 4 billion or 5 billion? 6 BILLION ??? Is that even true?

Anonymous said...

833, I wasn't 'justin (4:08)' at 408 and I'm still not. What you call 'BS' is the Brian Fox campaign's idea that Justin Brannan 'defunded' one billion real dollars from the police when the facts are that Brannan actually 'funded' the NYPD by about ten billion dollars.
When Brian Fox makes the claim that Councilman Brannan voted to 'defund' the NYPD one billion dollars, candidate Fox shows that he doesn't know business, that he doesn't know or understand NYC budgets and finance, and that he is willing to lie.

Anonymous said...

Ask the local Lefties if Brannan defunded the NYPD and see what they say

Anonymous said...

Strange how justin was quick to join the defunders until he discovered he had no primary challenger. Now its a budgetary matter because of COVID. No wonder hes so fat.

Anonymous said...

922, no the NYPD cost NYC taxpayers a lot more than 6 billion dollars for FY 2021. The immediate FY 2021 cost is about 10 billion dollars when you add in capital expenditures for the NYPD; but to that you have to add the deferred cost of more billions over the next forty years or so due to underfunding the pension fund.

Anonymous said...

whether its justin or his gofer gale the point is justin voted to defund the police

Anonymous said...

NYPD 'Internal Affairs' should be removed from the NYPD and put into NYS Police jurisdiction, and all drug enforcement activities should be shut down immediately and everything with respect to drugs left up to the Feds.

Anonymous said...

1015, you and Brian Fox have Kassar's phony cookie-cutter slogans, and Justin Brannan has the facts on his side.

Who thought it was a good idea for Brian Fat to post " NYPD Lives Matter " the same day Derek Chauvin was convicted on all counts for murdering an innocent man ?

Galewyn Massey said...

RESPONSE: THE "LET'S KEEP IT AT LEAST A LITTLE BIT FACTUAL" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... 10:51 AM"

BRIAN FOX POSTED THE "NYPD LIVES MATTER" JIBBERISH DAYS BEFORE DEREK CHAUVIN WAS CONVICTED.....

ALSO GEORGE FLOYD WAS ANYTHING BUT AN INNOCENT MAN --- AT THE TIME OF THE DEREK CHAUVIN INCIDENT, GEORGE FLOYD WAS RESISTING AN ARREST ON PROBABLE CAUSE FOR A CRIMINAL MATTER COMPLAINED ABOUT BY A MEMBER OF FLOYD'S OWN COMMUNITY --- AND FLOYD'S AUTOPSY REVEALED THE PRESENCE OF A HIGH LEVEL (A POTENTIALLY FATAL DOSAGE) OF HIGHLY POTENT DRUGS IN FLOYD'S BLOOD AND TISSUES --- IN ADDITION, GEORGE FLOYD IS REPORTED TO HAVE HAD A LENGTHY CRIMINAL RECORD, AND WAS PROBABLY A KNOWN BAD ACTOR TO THEN-OFFICER DEREK CHAUVIN (POSSIBLY WELL AND PERSONALLY KNOWN)

George Floyd was not innocent in any way shape or form, and he was nobody's choir boy. According to a popular data base, between 1997 and 2005, George Floyd had been convicted of eight crimes, mostly low level and drug related; then more recently, Floyd served a four year sentence in prison following the acceptance of a plea bargain connected to a 2007 "aggravated" robbery during a home invasion. Not long before his fatal encounter with then-Police Officer Derek Chauvin, Floyd had been put into police custody and detained at police headquarters for "admitted" possession of illicit drugs, but he was then released without charges. The incident that resulted in George Floyd's death was precipitated by a civilian complaint that Floyd had attempted to pass a counterfeit $20.00 bill in a local store.

Galewyn, please. It doesn't matter if Floyd had a rap street longer than your list of medications to pick up at the Publix pharmacy. He didn't deserve to die.

SUR-REPLY: THE "DON'T SET UP A STRAW MAN" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... 12:43 PM"

"DESERVE ???" --- "DESERVE !!!" WHO DESERVES ANYTHING --- GOOD, BAD, OR INDIFFERENT ?????

ALL I SAID WAS "... GEORGE FLOYD WAS ANYTHING BUT AN INNOCENT MAN..."

Later on I reiterated that point with a little more zip --- "George Floyd was not innocent in any way shape or form, and he was nobody's choir boy...." However, I never said, or even suggested, that he deserved to die --- nor do I believe that he deserved to die.

Derek Chauvin was found guilty of three counts in the killing of George Floyd, the verdict was probably a just one based on evidence. I have no problem with it.

Also, we avoided a lot of confrontation between cops, demonstrators, rioters and looters at least until the next incident..... So , for now, all those folks get to live and fight another day.

After Brian Fox gets done with Brannan, he will be begging for a job at Publix

Justin is against the police.

RESPONSE; UPDATE & BACKFILL: THE "SIGNS OF LIFE, BUT NO SIGNS OF HOPE" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 3:15 PM"

I DON'T THINK THAT WE ESTABLISHED THAT BRIAN FOX IS ANY KIND OF CARIBBEAN MAN >>> AS IN >>> WHO IS BRIAN FOX ? WHERE DID HE COME FROM ??? AND WHAT IS HE UP TO ?????

ON THE GEORGE FLOYD KILLING-DEREK CHAUVIN CONVICTION FRONT, AND THE TONE DEAFNESS OF THE BRIAN FOX CAMPAIGN >>> THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT BRIAN FOX POSTED SOMETHING ON HIS FB PAGE >>> THE BAD NEWS IS THAT IT WAS SOMETHING INANE FROM THE FOX SHOW CALLED "THE FIVE" THAT TALKED ABOUT "IS THIS THE END OF POLICE ? THE FIVE BLASTS CRACKDOWN AMID CRIME SURGE...."

Here's what somebody thought Brian needed to say at this time:
"New York City is the first to end qualified immunity combined with defunding the police and the support of bail reform, will equate to more crime, more resisting arrest, less street and foot pursuits, less active cops on the beat. The introduction of assigning unarmed case workers to 911 calls is a vote to further destroy our city. Anyone that does not support this needs to realize, that Justin Brannan and the Bay Ridge Democrats recently supported a Mayoral candidate where 90% of her platform is bringing the wild west to NYC. Vote for change, vote for sensibility, vote for neighborhood safety but more importantly, vote for quality of life and support your local law enforcement!"

FORGET THE FRACTURED SYNTAX [DID BRIAN FOX EVER LEARN ANY PROPER ENGLISH OR GRAMMAR ???] --- THE BRIAN FOX QUOTE IS COMPLETELY FULL OF FACTUAL ERRORS AND UNFOUNDED CONCLUSIONS --- BUT THIS IS THE PIP >>> "VOTE FOR CHANGE, VOTE FOR SENSIBILITY" <<< [NOW, WHOSE AND WHICH "CHANGE" & "SENSIBILITY" WOULD THAT BE ????? >>> ALL OF THE POSITIONS MENTIONED IN THE BRIAN FOX QUOTE DO REFLECT SOMEBODY'S IDEAS ABOUT CHANGE AND SOCIAL SENSIBILITIES --- EVEN IF THEY'RE NOT FOR THE SENSIBILITIES EXPRESSED BY BRIAN FOX, AND/OR HIS IDEAS AOUT CHANGE <<<

Anonymous said...

Good luck trying to explain qualified immunity to a truck driver

Ahhummmmm, yuhs don't say! All lined up at the Lone Star Bar? I think I'll go by there myself for a look a little later.
I don't think that nobody's gonna think Brian Fox is any kind a 'Haitian Sensation' though. Dominican, maybe, but not Haitian. Do you think that Brian Foxy Loxy even has a clue who he is, where he's from, or what he's doin runnin for City Council against Brannan?
I seen lot's of pictures of the guy wearing a tux though, was he a maitre d' at some club or restaurant, or maybe an extra or bit player in a movie with a party scene?
