Whose idea was it to throw the swag 9/11 Memorial event at the McKinley Park flagpole ???

What a fiasco !!!  What an embarrassment !!!!!

What was the point ?????

Were  the planners trying to see if they could organize and publicize an event that would only be attended by a small hand full of Brooklyn  GOP and Conservative  Party insiders and almost nobody else ?  If so,  they certainly succeeded beyond anybody's wildest expectations.....

If there was truth in advertising, this thing in McKinley Park should have been called the first cult gathering of the bunch of losers left in the Brooklyn Republican and Conservative Parties willing to turn 9/11 into a polarizing, political event instead of a fitting memorial for victims and first responders.

11:39 is right. We should stay home like justin.

We did stay home like EVERYBODY else did.

Why would Justin Brannan crash an obviously partisan Republican and Conservative event, when he is going to be at the official and traditional 9/11 Memorial.

It has long been known and widely reported that the annual vigil honoring the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks would take place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11 at the American Veterans Memorial Pier, Shore Road and 69th Street. In addition, this Bay Ridge 9/11 Memorial event will be live streamed to those who can’t attend.

Justin Brannan recently pointed out that “Our community was one of the hardest hit by the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.... In Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights alone, we’ve renamed close to 30 streets in honor of neighbors who were killed that day."

It was good to see Glenn Nocera again. I did not realize the Tea Party was still activated. Glen looks great.

RESPONSE: THE "KEEP THE FOCUS WHERE IT BELONGS" EDITION

TO A FEW OF THE COMMENTERS ABOVE

THIS ISN'T AT ALL ABOUT WHAT JUSTIN B. AND ANDREW G. DID OR DIDN'T DO AT A PARTISAN REPUBLICAN-CONSERVATIVE EVENT --- IT'S ABOUT WHAT A BUNCH OF BROOKLYN GOP AND CONSERVATIVE PARTY YAHOOS DID THE OTHER NIGHT AND LEADING UP TO THE SWAG 9/11 MEMORIAL EVENT AT THE MC KINLEY PARK FLAGPOLE

The proof of the phoniness, divisiveness, polarizing reality of this event was the short shrift given to a Republic Assembly Candidate, Michael Tannousis. You see, this shows how the Brooklyn GOP and Brooklyn Conservative Party are uncoupling a large swath of Bay Ridge proper from what they see as a more friendly Dyker Heights. It also showed a deepening split between the Marko Kepi supporters, who were prominent at the event, and Nicole Malliotakis, who seemed rather passive waiting for her brief turn to talk.

Interestingly, poor old Vito Bruno was late-arriving at the flagpole; and the delivery of his speech was like some of the best bloopers of Joe Biden. Brooklyn's own "Sleepy" looked like he rolled out of bed, did some quick blow and rushed over to the motley crew gathered at the McKinley Park Flagpole.

2:30 PM did he arrive in his JFK Assassination car?

Does Justin leave his house to get money from the Angel Guardian developer or does it get wired into his account?

My husband and I (we are gay bear Log Cabin Republicans) happily attended the partisan 9/11 event with the Glen Nocera Tea Party and couldn't help but think that had them dirty local DemocRats made a partisan 9/11 event we would be outraged

Great President. Lousy Park.

The McKinley Park flagpole is an appropriate site for a memorial but not for 9/11. Some time back in the Nineteen Sixties somebody set off a bomb in the park house in McKinley Park that caused substantial damage and took a very long time to restore to full use.

11:10 PM I believe it was Marty Golden who lit that cherry bomb

No, it was really like a milk bottle full of gunpowder. It put a crater in the wood decking
and blew the roof off over the decking.

If Bruno beats Andrew in 50 days, does that mean Capano beats Brannan next year?

Century 21 is closing its doors. Where does it end? Next it'll be EJ Korvettes.

When Bob enters the race justin will drop out.

Glenn looks great ? He looks like he ate a few people? Remember the Nocera tapes? The alcohol infused singing that Glenn did and then posted all around social media.

Ever since Nedicks closed its all been downhill.

Century 21 was the 'anchor store' for 86th Street; it's just the same as losing an anchor store out of a major shopping mall; 86th Street is done.
Meanwhile, Vito keeps pitching for indoor eating at restaurants; two-thirds to three-quarters of those joints won't last a year; Bay Ridge is done.

Under Andys watch, if he does watch, bay ridge burned. Maybe Vito can do something different. Change isnt coming from Justin. Unless a developer wants it.

Restaurants close and Justin losses a few hundred pounds. See the connection.

Maybe the a developer will pay Bob to run against Justin.

1229, you have to be kidding! Bob already works full time for a big time developer and he often brags about it.

Once the Green Tea House on 86TH Street closed, the neighborhood was doomed. Only Phyllis Carbo and Angelo J. Arculeo can save us now.

John Cats took out a full page ad in the NY Post for Labor Day and Capano photo was featured..cats is ready to push for capano

RESPONSE: THE "WHEN A HOUSE IS NOT A HOME" EDITION

TO: "ANONYMOUS SAID... AT 1:43 PM"

I BELIEVE IT WAS "THE GREEN TEA ROOM" AND NOT "THE GREEN TEA HOUSE" ON 86th STREET BETWEEN FOURTH AND FIFTH AVENUES.....

Don't prompt me into another Broadway show tune --- OK, maybe just one line, "... That was once upon a time, a long, long time ago...."

Bob Capano is the only candidate who can defeat Boss Brannan next year. He will have access to bigtime Catsimitidis money and all his connections at the ready. He also has support from both sides of the aisle.

3:58 PM is smoking crack cocaine

Everyone knows Vito's suicide run for NY State Senate is only a warm-up so he can take out Brannan next session!
