Is all of the Grimm talk lately, including the article in yesterday's New York Post, somebody's idea of a practical joke ???
In case you were so busy partying after John Quaglione's unlikely huge blowout of his GOP rivals on Primary Day, some people are again talking about a Michael Grimm 2018 race against incumbent Republican Congressman Dan Donovan for the GOP nomination
According to yesterday's article in the NY Post --- "Disgraced Republican ex-Rep. Michael Grimm is set to announce a bid to win back his old Staten Island-Brooklyn seat next year, according to a report — a move opposed by state and local GOP officials.... Grimm was released from federal prison 16 months ago after serving seven months in the slammer on charges that he falsified tax returns for the Manhattan restaurant he ran before taking office.... He was convicted in 2014.... The Republican is looking to oust GOP Rep. Dan Donovan, Staten Island’s former district attorney, who won a special election after Grimm went to jail in 2015.... Grimm will announce his candidacy at an Oct. 1 rally in New Dorp, NY1 reported Saturday, citing anonymous sources...." "April Fools' Day" is celebrated every year on April 1 by playing practical jokes and spreading hoaxes; and by the lights of the common definers of such things, the jokers and their victims are referred to as "April fools"; so, in which camp of fools are you counting yourself in this strange week in September 2017 ???
