THIS POTENTIAL CRIMINAL ACT NEEDS A PROPER CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION OF EVERYBODY INVOLVED
You know the old saw, "Every body is entitled to their own opinion, but not everybody is entitled to their own facts...." Well, Marty Golden and his crew are trying to show the world that they can create their own facts.
How do I know that ?
Well, it all comes out of a FALSE certification filed with the NYC Board of Elections on behalf of the Marty Golden faction by Diane Hazlet Rudiano and Henry Lallave, who claimed to have been the "Temporary Chairs" of the Brooklyn GOP for the 2015 County County Convention.
The problem is that they weren't the "Temporary Chairs"; and their certification to the BOE is fraudulent. It's also probably a serious felony --- since it was officially filed with the purpose of influencing a governmental agency. This is very bad for Mr. Lallave, but it is especially serious for the scandal-plagued Diane Hazlet Rudiano, who has had a checkered career as a Chief Clerk at the BOE, a position she still holds.

Quite apart from any of the issues related to the real 2015 Brooklyn GOP convention, which will be aired in Brooklyn Supreme Court; the false filing with the NYC Board of ELections by Ms. Rudiano minimlly needs investigations by the BOE's Inspector General, the NYC Department of Investigation and the Brooklyn District Attorney.
In the bigger picture, since this obvious "conspiracy" is yet another act of political corruption that could be laid at the door of State Senator Martin Golden, U. S. Attornay Preet Bharara needs to look into all of this very closely, as well.

Golden will not lose any sleep when Arnaldo is deported

Let me say up front that I'm for Arnaldo Ferraro. The rightfully and righteously elected Brooklyn GOP County Chairman and his Vice Chairman Danny Esquilin.
Gail, I read the City and State article that you mentioned in your post. All I want to say is that Marty Golden has assembled another team of sycophants and losers, especially this supposed to be hotshot lawyer Theodore Ghorra. If he is on the Golden legal team in court, Arnaldo and Mr. Esquilin are in like Flynn.
Ghorra is supposedly claiming that he came to the Convention at Remsen Hall with 438 proxy votes. But he was never there, because he was kept out for not being an elected member of the GOP County Committee . He doesn't know anything about what went on inside Remsen Hall, including who handed "HIS" supposed proxies in or how those proxies were handled.
Ghorra said the credentials committee deliberated in private for close to four hours, and the committee announced that it had invalidated all but 17 of "HIS" proxies and counted 258 for Ferraro. Ghorra then said that the GOP Convention's total of 275 valid votes fell short of the 300 needed for a quorum, and therefore, the results were not valid.
Is this hotshot lawyer nuts and making things up, or just stupid and maybe can't add.
The "Official" recorded vote at the Brooklyn GOP convention was 327 in favor of Arnaldo Ferraro to 46 for Ghorra, Marty Golden's candidate and two abstentions; the total of 373 valid votes counted well exceeds the 300 vote quarum that Attorney Ghorra is making such a big deal about. It's all in the same City and State article so Mr. Ghorra has to know that.
Then City and State says that Ghorra admited that "his camp," meaning Marty Golden's camp, held their own second vote outside Remsen Hall, and that they had enough proxies to surpass the 300 members needed for a quorum. This guy must be nuts if he is a lawyer and thinks that is a legitimate meeting to do the Brooklyn GOP's convention business, because the rest of us on County Committee never received any word about Ghorra's street meeting, which the rules require.
But Golden and Ghorra don't care about the rules and City And State says that by the end of the day, two dueling petitions were sent to the BOE. One of them "petitions" must be what you said in your post is that illegal "Certification" by Diane Rudiano and Henry Lallave.

I didn't speak to this paragraph in the "City & State" article cited above: ".... Ghorra and his supporters filed legal papers in Brooklyn Supreme Court Wednesday contending the party committee charged with determining the validity of proxy votes engaged in 'little more than a mathematical exercise designed to calculate how many proxies had to be invalidated in order to give [their opponents] an artificial majority.' The submission requests that the court either declare Ghorra’s slate valid, or instruct the party to convene a new credentials committee to tally the results of the vote or hold a separate election under court supervision. The committee used a proxy vote system, where county committee members note their vote on proxy forms that are then tallied at the organizational meeting. If a member signs two proxies, the one with an earlier date is tossed out...."
Didn't Mr. Ghorra, by cultivated reputation a great lawyer, stop to think that a ".... little more than a mathematical exercise designed to calculate how many proxies had to be invalidated in order to give [their opponents] an artificial majority...." would take little more than a few moments, and that the actual work of the credentials committee took several hours. That's exactly what happened two years ago and for exactly the same reasons. First, the Golden faction(s) didn't submit any of their proxies to the credentials committee for review before the scheduled starting time of the convention; second, the obvious reason they didn't was that a huge majority of the proxies, to which Ghorra is referring in the context of 2015, were being tinkered with by Golden and his operatives right up to the last minute and the proof of that is the "dating" and the "hand-writing" on the proxies personally tendered by Golden.
The lawfully empanelled "Credentials Committee" of the KCRP determined that a large bulk of the Ghorra-Golden "proxies" were facially fraudulent containing visibly similar last minute dating in visibly similar handwriting. Those problematic items are exactly the ones that Ghorra says that he brought to the Brooklyn GOP convention site and then passed onto State Senator Golden; and they are exactly what Golden handed in -- ie., over four hundred pieces of paper that Golden kept calling "Vouchers" on the convention floor [It's very interesting that the difference between the definitions of "voucher' and "proxie" is quite striking -- a proxy represents a lawful agency, whereas a voucher represents an item of exchange for value -- HMMMM !!! ].
I still find it telling that NOT A SINGLE GOLDEN STAFFER was at the Convention because THEY NEVER BOTHERED TO QUALIFY THEMSELVES by petitioning. Is it any wonder that Golden's group tampered with previously signed proxies?
Golden staffers are paid by taxpayers to perform public service. Helping the elderly, tenants, homeowners, and making sure our parks are clean and our neighborhoods are safe. Maybe Senator Golden is not spending enough time on useless political hacks, but to expect that from his staff would be an ethical violation. Senator Golden will not violate any laws to appease unemployed neer do well politicos.
A decorated soldier and police officer like Golden should be respected and honored by the GOP.
Who is Ted Ghorra kidding? He's a worse Golden strawman than anybody before him. Not only was "Hotdog man" Cochrane a more legitimate leadership candidate, that loose cannon kid "Sippy-cup" Cipriani would have been a better choice. Anybody active in politics knows that everybody really involved in the Republican Party should be able to talk about more than being on a "vacancy committee" as one of their major credentials. "VACANCY COMMITTEE".... For a lawyer, Ted Ghorra is very loose with his words and very weak in his knowledge of the facts. In the City & State article mentioned in the post above, Ghorra said he had proxies and called them "his" proxies. The fact is Ted Ghorra had no proxies made out to him..... a total of zero, none, nada, niente, null, nil, nothing. There were four sets of proxies submitted to the Credentials Committee of the 2015 Brooklyn GOP Convention; proxies were submitted naming: State Senator Martin Golden; Former Kings County Republican Chairman Craig Eaton; Republican State Committee Person Lucretia Regina-Potter; and County Committee Member Stephen Maresca. His description of the rump meeting based on his personal quorum of "delegates" shows that he doesn't care about the GOP rules. First, Ghorra could not attend any meeting of the County Committee, whether it's his quorum or anything else; second, he failed to notify members of the County Committee of his meeting, something that was required in order to conduct any County Committee business, like conduct the organizing convention; and third Ghorra's rump convention was held at a location that can't be identified with an address.
I guess being in a greasy spoon diner makes it all legit. That will be the determining factor for the Courts.
When was Marty a soldier? What was he decorated for? Superior latrine cleanliness and kitchen patrol attendance?

Marty's staffers always take their comp time to work on Marty's political campaigns. The point isn't that they weren't at the convention -- they didn't even bother to qualify themselves to serve on the county committee, and most of his staffers are not Republican voters.

The full quorum at the 2015 Kings County Republican Committee Convention was comprised as follows: 327 in favor of Arnaldo Ferraro to 46 for Ghorra, Marty Golden's chosen candidate, 14 votes naming Marty Golden, specifically, and two abstention --- for a total of 389 valid votes cast and counted --- and an amount well in excess of the 300 votes required.
The business of the convention inside the Remsen Hall was completed near the end of the business day; and any rump convention was not convened until after the business of the 2015 Brooklyn GOP Convention had been formally brought to a close and the Remsen Hall had been vacated by the management of that establishment.
Any street-corner gathering by any sub-group of the Kings County Republican County Committee led by State Senator Martin Golden and/or Attorney Theodore Ghorra, with Diane Rudiano and Henry Lallave as temporary chair persons, was completely without the authority of either the out-going Chairperson Craig Eaton, who had timely convened the convention, or the newly elected Chairperson Arnaldo Ferraro, who had timely, publicly and properly announced the 2015 GOP County Convention was closed.
Furthermore, any street-corner gathering by any sub-group of the Kings County Republican County Committee led by State Senator Martin Golden and/or Attorney Theodore Ghorra, with Diane Rudiano and Henry Lallave as temporary chair persons, had to have begun well after normal business hours, and not at any location to which timely notice had been given to the full GOP County Committee.
As such, any street-corner gathering by any sub-group of the Kings County Republican County Committee led by State Senator Martin Golden and/or Attorney Theodore Ghorra, with Diane Rudiano and Henry Lallave as temporary chair persons, was not conducted according to the rules of the Brooklyn GOP; and any business conducted thereat would have been without any lawful authority of the Brooklyn GOP and (an) ultra vires act(s); and the execution and filing of any certificates by any person asserting the actions at such a meeting would have been similarly ultra vires, and completely and knowingly fraudulent. In short, anything done at the Golden-Ghorra rump meeting late on 9/3015, as well as anything flowing from it is/are a substantive, procedural and practical nullity.

Golden went to war with the Republican Party two years ago, removing their Elections Commissioner and appointing his own person to the post, then politicized the Board of Elections employees as a tool to take over the Board. Then he sent letters to the Justice Department, urging the investigation of the chairman. Then he sent out news releases, accusing the Chairman of being under federal investigation. And when he lost, he went to court and dragged things out for six months.
Now he's doing it all again. Except this time, Golden is under federal investigation. Fuck him.

GLENN NOCERA ASKS HOW DID MARTY GOLDEN HAVE ONLY 17 VALID PROXIES WHEN NOCERA, HIMSELF, TURNED IN 24 PROPERLY OBTAINED AND EXECUTED PROXIES NAMING GOLDEN AS THE PROXY AGENT?
Glenn Nocera, the 44th AD GOP Leader, said that the 2015 Republican County Convention was conducted like an 'Old Soviet Union-style election. He was especially critical of the "credentials committee," whose deliberations were conducted behind closed doors without any representatives of his side being allowed to witness what proxies were ruled "in" or "out," and/or why. In addition, Noceera said that even after the Credentials Committee had made its decision, neither did that committee nor the Convention's Temporary Chair would give any details as to how and why so many Golden proxies had been excluded.
Nocera blames the whole mess on Craig Eaton, whose plan was to mess up Golden's side's win at the ballot box in 2015. He said Golden's man, Ted Ghorra, was the right man to bring unity to the whole Brooklyn GOP, because of his background as a GOP fundraiser. He said that Eaton's naming Arnaldo Ferraro as his successor was Eaton's revenge against both Golden and Ferraro. Golden would have to spend money in court and then Ferraro would never get to sit as the Brooklyn GOP Chairman.
Nocera said that he knows there is a lawsuit by Golden, but he said he doesn't know what it's about and that he made no statements or affidavits this time around (Nocera was a named party for the Golden side in 2013). However, Nocera seemed truly shocked to hear that Vincent Messina had been selected to be Golden's attorney again in 2015. Based on various things he said, apparently Nocera was completely dissatisfied with the way Messina handled a similar case for Golden, Nocera and others in 2013.
If necessary, Nocera said he had a video record of the whole 2015 Brooklyn GOP convention, which was something that he owned and controlled; and he said he would use it, if and when the time were to be right.
It seems like Nocera is now out of the Golden Loop - that is funny......he was Golden's boy and then Golden gave Nocera no respect when Nocera wanted to run for CC...and then Golden picks Ghorra out of thin air......I guess Nocera should really analyze how he is being treated by Golden? Did Golden confer with Nocera before Golden picked Ghorra?

In all seriousness, the tape will only show that Marty was screaming like a lunatic, Diane was screaming out of control, and all of the BOE employees were yelling as well......and I am not sure that any such tape would be admissible anywhere....
I feel bad for Glenn. He's been an active Republican for many years, and our Party's candidate for public office on several occasions. He's built a decent Young Republican Club and pounded the pavement collecting signatures for a long, long time. And Marty picks a name out of the phonebook to run for chairman -- a nobody who is so politically inexperienced he thinks serving on a vacancy committee is something to brag about. Marty has treated Glenn horribly.
Unfortunately Glenn is just too stupid to realize how he has been played by Golden and Kassar for many many years.....they treat him like a second class mall cop that he is.....and then he kisses their _ _ s. Then he wants to run for Chair and they walk all around him to pick a "nobody"......
Gail, you have this all wrong. Glenn Nocera has never been a Golden insider and he certainly isn't one now. If he isn't completely behind Golden and the Golden braintrust, he'll never be trusted enough to introduce his video tape in court.
First, Nocera doesn't like Golden's choice of attorney, Vincent Messina; and second, from what Glenn said about the tape being his to use when he sees fit, it sounds like somebody on Golden's team tried to get Glenn to turn over his tape to them and for some reason he's not willing to do that.

No, Marty skipped the march because the organizers refused to host their reception at the Bay Ridge Manor.
I feel sorry for Glenn. He's the hard working guy who was just looking for it was taken away from hinm and given to someone nobody even knows.

I've been informed that the return date of an Order to Show Cause in the Brooklyn GOP "Election Case" is October 23, 2015 before Hon. Edgar G. Walker, JSC. Naturally, that is the case about the dueling certifications for the 2015 GOP Convention that were filed at the Board of Elections, which was reported in the article on the "City & State" blog.
Of course only one certification of the 2015 KCRP Convention results is valid, the one for the "Official" 2015 GOP Convention that was properly convened, conducted and concluded, and which nominated and elected a full slate of officers for 2015-2017 led by Arnaldo Ferraro as County Chairman.
