Local GOP Congressmen Push Back --- Grimm and King Step Out Front to Praise Staten Island Grand Jury and Prosecutor for NOT Indicting NYPD Officer

Grimm and King both push back against the mob's, the media's and the Democrats' condemnation of Staten Island Grand Jury's Decision Vindicating NYC Cops in the Death of Eric Garner

"[REMEMBER] ...No organization has done more to safeguard the lives of young African-Americans in New York City than the NYPD."

                                                                          --   Congressman Peter King

"New York Republican Rep. Michael Grimm, whose district includes the borough of Staten Island, where black chokehold victim Eric Garner lived and died, says the grand jury decision not to indict white police officer Daniel Pantaleo 'was fair and reasoned.'  ***   'There's no question that this grand jury had an immensely difficult task before them, but I have full faith that their judgment was fair and reasoned,' said the lawmaker, who won re-election last month.  ***   Grimm also offered praise to District Attorney Daniel Donovan 'for overseeing this case with the utmost integrity...." (See "Rep. Michael Grimm: NYC Grand Jury Was 'Fair and Reasoned'   by Cathy Burke, 12/3/14, Newsmax [http://www.newsmax.com/Headline/Michael-Grimm-Eric-Garner-Daniel-Pantaleo-chokehold/2014/12/03/id/610949/]).

The same report contained comments by Long Island Republican Congressman Peter King that indicated his belief that there should be for respect for the grand jury's decision; adding,  "While the death of Eric Garner was tragic, all New Yorkers should respect the decision of the Staten Island grand jury not to indict NYPD officer Daniel Pantaleo....  During this tense time in New York, it must be noted and remembered that no organization has done more to safeguard the lives of young African-Americans in New York City than the NYPD."

I watched the video and the cop killed Garner.

RESPONSE: THE "WHAT VIDEO DID YOU SEE ?" EDITION

YOU'RE REPEATING A NARRATIVE THAT IGNORES THE FACTS --- THERE WAS NO "THE COP" THAT "KILLED GARNER" --- SEVERAL COPS CONTRIBUTED TO GARNER'S DEATH

It would be impossible for either a Grand Jury or a Petit Jury based only on the physical evidence, including the video, to single out the acts of one police officer. Also the only criminal act shown in the video is by Eric Garner --- resisting arrest.

RESPONSE: THE " 'NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE' " EDITION

"...NO PEACE" IS ONLY "PROTECTED" IN THOSE ENEMY DOMINATED TERRITORIES OF THE OBAMA-BANANA-REPUBLIC --- SUCH AS NEW YORK

The anonymous post above: "Anonymous said... *** You'll learn your lesson when it impacts you. *** No justice no peace *** December 4, 2014 at 8:33 AM" certainly sounds ominous --- "Scary stuff, kids !" -- JZ

These "'non-violent" demonstrations only get off the ground where the Obama-Banana-Republicans [f/k/a Democrats] rule the roost, not in the real America among real Americans.
Now that deBlasio wants to emasculate the NYPD, every real American in NYC needs to exercise their rights and perform their duties under the Second Amendment to protect their lives and property.

UPDATE: The "BEHIND ENEMY LINES" EDITION

GALLO AND BERARDELLI DEVOTE MORE THAN HALF OF THEIR WEDNESDAY BEL-WAAR SHOW TO THE ERIC GARNER AND MICHAEL BROWN GRAND JURIES' DECISIONS AND RELATED MATTERS

Mostly Gallo, but without any real disagreement from Mr. B, this duo does not see why these cases are about race.

They also announced the 'brackets" for the "FOURTH ANNUAL BEHIND ENEMY LINES BUFFOON OF THE YEAR AWARDS."

Now that is a trick that defies the time-space continuum.... Did they just "memory hole" their whole "Brooklyn GOP [Blog] Radio" history by putting it all in the "Behind Enemy Lines" fonts and formats ?

UPDATE: THE "GLENN NOCERA" EDITION

THE PRESIDENT OF THE BROOKLYN YOUNG REPUBLICAN CLUB, GN, SAYS POLICE ENGAGED IN A "...CLUSTER F*** " --- AND HE HAS LOTS OF QUESTIONS AS TO HOW THE STATEN ISLAND GRAND JURY REACHED ITS DECISION

ALSO SEES THE DEATH BY POLICE TAKE-DOWN OF ERIC GARNER >>> NOT <<< TO BE A RACIAL INCIDENT

In his most recently posted Brooklyn Young Republican Club news item, Club President and Brooklyn GOP Executive Committeemember Glenn Nocera says that he has lots of questions about the Staten Island Grand Jury's decision in the Eric Garner case; he wonders what went into their deliberations and he asks "...that the courts release all the details of this case like they did in Ferguson so that these questions could hopefully be answered." He then went on at geat length and detail about his views on the Eric Garner case. He pretty much concedes that the police action was far from exemplary when he said this about it: "This whole situation in so many words if you would pardon my French was a cluster F***...." However, in a moment of rare agreement with Russ Gallo and Gene Berardelli, Nocera does not see the Garner case as one involving race. UPDATE: THE "REPUBLICANS HAVE NO SAY ON GARNER" EDITION

JON STEWART AND OTHERS ARE PUSHING BACK ON ANY REPUBLICAN OR OTHER OPINIONATING ABOUT ERIC GARNER THAT DOESN'T BLAME SYSTEMIC RACISM AND A "CHOKEHOLD" BY ONE POLICE OFFICER FOR THE DEATH OF ERIC GARNER

"... Jon Stewart picked apart the right-wing response to the death of Eric Garner, which blamed his death on everything — cigarette taxes, obesity — except the chokehold that actually killed him. *** Stewart took no prisoners, calling out Rand Paul, Rudy Giuliani, Sean Hannity, Peter King and Fox News as a whole. He then went on to discuss some of the systemic issues at play including racism and the possible problems the relationship between prosecutors and the police could cause in these types of cases...." Republicans have no say in the Garner matter because the GOP is a racist, sexist, homophobic party.

Galewyn Massey said...

RESPONSE: THE "I DON'T KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THAT" EDITION

I didn't know that Eric Garner was a black lesbian.... "... sexist, homophobic..." !

Why does "Anonymous... 9:16 AM" think that Eric Garner was a woman and homosexual ?

Didn't "Anonymous... 9:16 AM" see the other later tape where a female, probably black, police sergeant was on the scene as Eric Garner was lying there almost inert, but alive and dying.

BTW, is this Dorothy/"Dorthy" trying to sneak back onto this blog ?

Btw, no "Dorothy" did not write that comment. It is not her style nor her beliefs and you know it. More to the point though, Gale, is why do YOU keep inserting Dorothy into your blog conversation? What Dorothy has learned from this blog gale is that you could not argue your way out of a paper bag. And you support your blanket assertions with sound bites from FOX news. Your blog is, as they say, a tale told by an idiot signifying nothing . . .

RESPONSE: THE "DOT THE 'I s'" EDITION

Dorothy/Dorthy, that's why we luv ya.... You're always either there or one step away. In this case, I doubt that I was far off the mark in spotting a "Dot" and not a dash.

Also remember this, in textual analysis, sometimes style and content are a unified whole ....

UPDATE: THE "AND ANOTHER THING..." EDITION

RE: "ANONYMOUS... NO "DOROTHY" DID NOT WRITE THAT COMMENT..." --- OOPS, THERE IT IS !

In a comment above, someone (wink, wink) said this: "What Dorothy has learned from this blog gale [sic] is ... you support your blanket assertions with sound bites from FOX news..."

The only problem is that neither this post, nor any of my comments in this thread are quotes-from or cites-to Fox News.

Nor in the post before that (no comments by me)... Nor in the post and comments before that... Nor in the post before that (no comments to date)... In fact, the last quote of anything from Fox was over one week ago, on 11/28/14, and it was from an Alan Colmes report on Fox News Radio [FYI, Colmes is a Liberal Democratic commentator on Fox....] ( See "Michael Brown’s Stepfather: ‘Burn This Bitch Down’" Alan.com/ Colmes Quarters, 11/25/14, Fox News Radio/ Colmes Corner [http://radio.foxnews.com/2014/11/25/michael-browns-stepfather-burn-this-bitch-down/]).

But, thanks for playing...

OUCH. I've been corrected. I bet you learned your refutation skills from watching Dan Quayle.

And I don't play.

RESPONSE: THE "DAN QUAYLE" EDITION

WHAT I LEARNED FROM A VP DAN QUAYLE DINNER IS THAT IF SOMEBODY ANNOYS YOU, THROW THEM OVER A TABLE, AND THE SECRET SERVICE WILL TELL YOU, "PLEASE, GO BACK TO YOUR SEAT...."

I guess the same somebody was annoying VP Dan Quayle, too; or at least some of those in his Secret Service detail.

Ah ! Good times, good times....
And one of the several times that I got on national TV....

Gale and Quayle, a match made in heaven.
