The President of the Brooklyn Tea Party changes the venue of monthly meeting
Frank Russo the recently elected President of the Brooklyn Tea Party has chosen a change of scenery in an attempt to generate some new followers for the Tea Party in the Marine Park and Mill Basin sections of Brooklyn.
An Open Meeting of The Brooklyn Tea Party will be held on
Sunday, April 7th, at the KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS, FLATBUSH COUNCIL 497,
3915 FLATLANDS AVENUE, BROOKLYN, NY at 2 PM...

UPDATE: AT THE BROOKLYN TEA PARTY MEETING
According to a PRESS RELEASE received from the Brooklyn Tea Party President Frank Russo, on April 7th, 2013, The Brooklyn Tea Party held their first “Constitutional Convention” meeting.
According to Mr. Russo, “... we’ve concluded that we should begin to re-build this organization [the Brooklyn Tea Party] from the bottom up! And it all starts with a constitution .... Founder John Press and the prior president of The Brooklyn Tea Party, Joseph Hayon, agreed that there was a need for such a Constitution, [a]nd hardworking current Tea Party Officers, Marty Levine & Cartrell Gore also concurred with the establishment of a new constitution at the convention meeting, submitting his notes and a prior draft to the president for his consideration.
Russo went on to state that The Brooklyn Tea Party needed to re-focus itself…and also needed to ask these questions, “What are we here to accomplish”; and “How do we best accomplish that” ? Russo went on to say, “We commenced and will proceed with this process to make a new Constitution for The Brooklyn Tea Party…in a very democratic manner.”
Before yesterday’s meeting, a “First Draft” of a proposed new constitution of the Brooklyn Tea Party had been presented to the members. Yesterday at the “convention” meeting, additions, deletions and corrections were made by about a dozen members of The Brooklyn Tea Party, who were in attendance. Those additions, deletions and corrections will be incorporated into a final draft constitution to be presented to the membership before the meeting next month, which will conclude the Brooklyn Tea Party’s “Constitutional Convention.” After a final vote of ratification of the final draft presented at the meeting next month ... each Brooklyn Tea Party member present will be asked to sign the new Brooklyn Tea Party Constitution. This method was chosen to show that “…it is the enthusiasm of the members, a full-spectrum of local residents, is what makes the Brooklyn Tea Party what it is.”
Also reported to me, once the work on the draft constitution was completed, Cartrell Gore, Brooklyn Tea Party VP, made an announcement that if the Conservative Party endorsed the liberal Republican Joseph Lhota, he was leading his Brooklyn Conservative Club to join with the Bronx Conservative Party in not carrying Conservative Party petitions with Mr. Lhota's name on them.
