Boston Marathon Bombing — Another Security Breakdown on the Obama Watch — But also on the Watches of other key Democrats

Benghazi-Boston, Boston and Benghazi — inaction in advance and at critical moments during the two unfolding events caused additional deaths in each case. Will a stonewall or “a paralysis by analysis” in the aftermath of each guarantee  repeats of similar events with even higher death tolls in the near future?

Probably so, if real Americans leave Democrats in charge of any part of the security apparatus of this country.

It is now obvious that “Russian authorities warned the FBI in early 2011 that suspected bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev may have been a follower of “radical Islam,” a revelation that raised new questions in Congress on Saturday about whether the Boston Marathon attacks that killed three and wounded more than 170 could have been prevented....” ( See “FBI was warned of alleged bomber’s radical shift” by Mark Arsenault, Bryan Bender, Milton J. Valencia and Maria Cramer, 4/20/13, The Boston Globe/Metro [http://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2013/04/20/bombmain/IQ48jNsFSG21X8jkkcSsMJ/story.html]).

According to the Globe report, “The FBI acknowledged Friday that it had investigated [Tamerlan] Tsarnaev in 2011, even interviewing him and his family, but ‘did not find any terrorism activity,’ either domestic or foreign. ***  ‘The FBI had this guy on the radar and somehow he fell off,’ said the congressional aide, who said oversight committees on Capitol Hill are seeking answers from counterterrorism officials. ‘We heard for several days leading up to this there was no intelligence. Now we know there could have been intelligence’.”

The most disturbing aspect of this Boston Globe article is the very telling passage that follows: “The bureau [FBI] declined to answer questions Saturday about whether it revisited its 2011 investigation of Tamerlan Tsarnaev after the Marathon attack, or why the bureau was unable to identify the suspects in race day security footage two years after interviewing him and his family.”

The next most bothersome item involved the Presidential response to the terrorist spree in Boston, as follows:  “President Obama convened the National Security Council on Saturday for 90 minutes in the Situation Room on the Boston attacks, including an update on the capture of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. The president ‘underscored the need to continue gathering intelligence to answer the remaining questions about this terrorist attack going forward,’ according to the White House.”  So it already is beginning to look like the Obama White House intends to go into the same kind of post-Benghazi-style defensive crouch over the Boston Marathon massacre and its aftermath as it did following the Libyan fiasco.

The Obama Administration in its various facets was 100% to blame for the multiple American deaths at the hands of terrorists in Benghazi in September 2012. That includes the former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who was an integral player in the complete disarray that preceded and continued into the night of death in that “diplomatic” outpost in Libya, as well as in the coverup that followed and persists to this day.

The same cannot be said about the Patriots week killings that started with the bombings near the finish line of the Boston Marathon in the afternoon of April 15, 2013,  then continued a few nights later onto the MIT campus in nearby Cambridge, and then out along Memorial Drive into Watertown, both in the metropolitan area of Boston, Massachusetts. Responsibility for those Greater Boston area killings falls in varying degrees on the Obama Administration, the state administration of Governor Deval Patrick and the city administration of Mayor Thomas M. [no doubt an initial for “Mumbles”] Manino. Obama, Patrick and Manino are all Democrats; and the fact that they are speaks volumes as to why they were unable to protect all their citizens from a menace that should have been well known since 9/11/2001 and reinforced by many events since that momentous date.

It should be clear to Republicans, conservatives and even clear-thinking Democrats, that the orthodox world view of most Democrats now in office [together with their even more anti-American allies on the left], along with the Democratic Party’s total immersion in an ideology of mandatory diversity and cultural relativism, makes most Democrats at any level or any position in local, state or federal government uniquely incapable of carrying out their duties of defending all Americans.

Now that you the GOP has decided to politicize this, let's run down the score: 9/11: 2996, Boston Massacre 3.

BTW, to put things in perspective, here are my words describing Dubya following 9/11 (Dubya following 9/11:

" Though surely not born great, and having done little or nothing to achieve greatness, George W. Bush had had greatness thrust upon him, and, for about three minutes he rose to the occasion, as the world rallied behind America and America used the moment to rally the world into multilateral action against what could only be called evil; it was truly the right war in the right place at the right time."

That is how a real American talks, Galewyn.

UPDATE & BACKFILL:
Republican Congressman Peter King blasted the Federal Bureau of Investigation on Fox News Sunday for failing to prevent the Tsarnaev brothers from carrying out the Boston Marathon bombings when the FBI had already been told about the older brother's extremist potential. In addition, according to King, the chairman of the House Subcommittee on Counter-terrorism and Intelligence, speaking on Fox News Sunday, "This is at least the fifth case I'm aware of where the FBI has failed to stop someone." Then King, a Republican Congressman from Long Island, recited cases such as Anwar al-Awlaki, a planner of terrorist attacks for al Qaeda; Carlos Bledsoe, who opened fire in in front of a military recruiting office in Little Rock, Ark., in 2009; and Nidal Malik Hasan, who opened fire at Fort Hood, Texas, in 2009.

Then Congressman King said, "[The Boston Marathon bombing case] is the latest in a series of cases like this...where the FBI is given information about someone as being a potential terrorist... They look at them, and then they don’t take action, and then they go out and commit murders." King said [Tamerlan] Tsarnaev should have been flagged and monitored at the least. The congressman also noted that "[Tamerlan] Tsarnaev has statements up on his web site, he’s talking about radical imams." (See “Fox News Sunday” Season 2013, Episode 16, 4/21/13 [http://www.hulu.com/fox-news-sunday]; Transcript: “Boston Police commissioner on marathon investigation; Feinstein and King talk War on Terror; 'Big Brother' the solution to homeland security?” by Chris Wallace, 4/21/13 [http://www.foxnews.com/on-air/fox-news-sunday-chris-wallace/2013/04/21/boston-police-commissioner-marathon-investigation-feinstein-and-king-talk-war-terror-big]).

According to Breitbart News the Daily Mail has reported that Russia asked the FBI to investigate Tamerlan Tsarnaev six months ago, but the FBI never responded to Russia's request. Even more disturbingly according Breitbart, the Mail reported that "The 26-year-old Chechen, who was living in the U.S. after being granted refugee status in 2002, first caught the eye of [Russian] authorities after he was spotted meeting with a person involved in the militant Islamic underground movement in Dagestan. They met at a mosque on six occasions, the source said. The source told NBC the militant and Tsarnaev disappeared before authorities could speak with them; they added that the FBI never responded” (See “LIVE UPDATES – Russians Warned FBI About Bombing Suspect 6 Months Ago?” by Breitbart News, 4/21/13 [http://www.breitbart.com/]). It is not clear whether this reported communication from Russian authorities is in addition to one that the FBI acknowledged as happening about two years ago.

The 9/11 count is much higher than 2996 and the Boston Patriots Week Massacre is now at 4 and counting...

The genesis of 9/11 was far before 1/20/2001... and its final act is still unwritten -- It didn't end with OBL's passing or with a bunch of drone strikes.

The "war on terror" is a political war -- it didn't start with 9/11/01 -- most Republicans fight it badly and most Democrats don't want to fight at all. btw, the "war on terror" is the most recent not so politically correct name for a conflict that's over a thousand years old.

James mccall couldn't/wouldn't fight a cold. What a maroon.

Now listen, Daffy. Obviously you never heard the old saw, "Stuff a cold and starve a fever." Jim McCall certainly knows how to fight a cold and do it with gusto.

MORE UPDATE & BACKFILL:
According to a British journal, the FBI committed a major flub in its handling of an investigation or non-investigation of Tamerlan Tsarnaev. The Telegraph claimed on Sunday night that the FBI was alerted by Russia's security services to serious new concerns about one of the Boston bomb suspects as recently as November 2012 (See “Boston bomber: FBI 'dropped the ball' over Tamerlan Tsarnaev” by Peter Foster, 4/21/13 [http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/10008638/Boston-bomber-FBI-dropped-the-ball-over-Tamerlan-Tsarnaev.html]).

In a further sign that Tsarnaev's record had made the rounds in the US security apparatus, the New York Times reported that a "hold" had been placed on Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s citizenship application by the Department of Homeland Security after making routine background checks and discovering the FBI's former interest in him.

Taking pains to praise the bravery of police in the hunt for the Boston Marathon bombers, senior Republican politicians including Senator Lindsey Graham, and Congressmen Michael McCaul and Peter King have openly questioned the competence of the FBI’s investigation(s) of Tamerlan Tsarnaev. Congressman McCaul, Chairman of House Homeland Security Committee, said the FBI needed to explain why it failed to keep track of the older Tsarnaev after an interview in 2011, particularly after he visited his family in Dagestan, which is a known centre of Islamist militancy and training facilities.

I am most chastened about the comment by Gatemouth above in the fact that virtually the entire comment was first used by the Gated One on Bob Hornak.
