Leading Brooklyn GOP Activist Bob Capano sends out a letter of support to his friends and supporters on behalf of Republican Mayoral Candidate John Catsimatidis

Standing strong against the likes of Republican State Senator Martin Golden and Brooklyn Republican Chairman Craig Eaton, the 2009 GOP and Conservative Party candidate for City Council from the 43rd Council District, Bob Capano, is working his personal lists of friends and supporters on behalf of one of the leading GOP candidates for mayor this year.

Capano’s man Catsimatidis, a registered Republican, most likely will have to face off in a primary against Golden’s guy, Lhota, who is also a registered Republican; and possibly have to do the same against Eaton’s, but only if Eaton’s guy Afolfo Carrion, a non-Republican, can get another GOP leader (the necessary third out of five in NYC) to allow him to run in the Republican primary.

Here’s a copy of Bob Capano’s letter in support of John Catsimatidis:

John Catsimatidis for Mayor

I just wanted to let you know that I have decided to support John Catsimatidis for Mayor and will be assisting his campaign any way I can.

So many of you joined me in 2009 when I was the Republican, Conservative, and Independence candidate for the 43rd council district in Brooklyn against Vincent Gentile and I will always be grateful for your support. Now, I hope you will consider joining me again in supporting John Catsimatidis for Mayor.

I believe John is the right Republican with the common sense ideas that will resonate throughout our city.

John Catsimatidis has already stated that one of his top priorities will be to continue the successful policies of Mayors Giuliani and Bloomberg that have kept our streets safe and has stated his intention to keep NYPD Police Commissioner Ray Kelly part of his administration. Our city can not afford to go back to the days when too many people were fearful to walk in their own neighborhoods.

In addition, since his days of starting a business from scratch, John Catsimatidis has created thousands of jobs in our city, and has vowed to create even more as Mayor. He is the only candidate that has this real world business experience, which gives him the unique qualifications to improve our city's economy.

I hope you will take the time to consider supporting John and assisting his campaign in the weeks and months ahead. Thank you.

Bob Capano
