We knew that these two would be real button guys in "The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight" >>> but it sure looks like Brian Fox and Mike Dimartino don't know which end is up when it come to reading a BOE district map and/or navigating around Brooklyn neighborhoods with any connection whatsoever to "South Brooklyn".....
Somehow, they managed to find themselves at the far end of that faux neighborhood "Homecrest"; and they even wangled being introduced on video at the Christmas Tree lighting at Our Lady of Grace R.C. Church way out around Avenue W & Ocean Parkway not far from Lincoln High School in Brighton Beach.
Of course, our question is "WHY ?????" It wasn't all that long ago when OLG was a remote RC parish with next to no RC parishioners.....
But times change, and so do political boundaries for things like State Senate and NYS Assembly districts.....
Who knows ??? All this "busy work" might have an upside payoff for Brian and Mike, and their new "South Brooklyn Small Businesses" front group.

BESIDES, WHY SHOULD REPUBLICANS IN BRANNAN'S DISTRICT CARE ABOUT ANY OF THAT GAS ??? FAR MORE IMPORTANT IS WHETHER BRANNAN IS MOSTLY IN CHARGEOF HIS OWN REDISTRICTING, SO THAT HE CAN HAVE AN EASY RE-ELECTION IN 2023, AND IS ABLE TO SELECT & CROWN A SUCCESSOR IN 2025
Even if Brannan doesn't win the top spot, it's likely that he will emerge as a key player in the incoming NYC Council starting on January 1st.
Look for a new more diverse Brannan district (six or seven ways diverse sounds about right) with very different lines and shape. With a northern line around 60th Street and plenty of Gravesend Bay shore line to the south (probably taking all of it away from the split Staten Island district, and maybe even getting a little taste of Coney Island from Mark Treygar's old 47th district). There will be lots fewer blocks in St. Bernadette's and St. Ephrem, and maybe somebody will even lose a finger or two in St Anselm's. However, there will be a little chuck of OLPH for some old style "Bay Ridge," with a few slivers more of Regina Pacis, Cabrini, St. Finbar's, and maybe St. Rosalia's, or possibly, just an outside chance, of even getting a little piece around OLS on W 17th Street over on the Coney Island side of the Cropsey Bridge. The finer final edges and wedges, fingers and wingers are really hard to predict.
Republicans need to remember that Democrats actually settle their intra-party "Old Scores" in the old fashioned ways because they still can.

If 26 NYC Council Members vote for Moya, he'll become the NYC Council Speaker; if not, then NOT.

About two weeks ago, "Brian Fox for City Council" re-Tweeted two items that fit and repeated his false narrative about increased violent crime in Bay Ridge --- which message had been rejected by a clear majority of the local Bay Ridge voters in Fox's failed 2021 election bid for NYC Council.....
Here's the first Fox re-Tweet: "... The safety of NYers continues to be the #1 issue.... Let's focus on fully funding the police and amending or repealing the chokehold and personal liability laws that were passed by the last council.... @ABC7NY· Nov 26... Man fatally stabbed in lobby of Brooklyn apartment building [with video showing crime scene tape and signs of mayhem at a buikding called the 'Dorset']...."
Here's the second Fox re-Tweet: "... November 26 2021 Brooklyn, New York - A stabbing at 308 99th street in Bay Ridge left a person in a life threatening condition, neighbor describes a scene like 'out of a movie' [with video clearly depicting the bloddy lobby of the "Dorset"]...."
What Fox didn't report at all >>> was that the stabbing resulted in a murderous death (very rare in Bay Ridge in 2021), or that the police detectives had quickly solved the case and made an arrest in less than a day. Also very intersting, the stabbing didn't occur on the street or in the lobby of the building (variously described as "...303...305 [or] 308 99th Street, it happened upstairs in the apartment of the alleged perpetrator, with whom the victim had been staying.
You see this crime was the result of a violent domestic disturbance --- something that Brian Fox wouldn't want anybody discussing in any way, shape or form >>> because of his own concealed personal history involving such things.....
